Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etc

I have made all of the recommended settings that I have read on the tutorials and on the trackir site.A number of forum participants have offered their help; why do I have to spend so much time on this add-on?Don't the programers and the creators expect us to use this out of the box? Hey guys, I have two Saitek throttles configured through FSUIPC,which work fine, and I have one lever, once its fully back into the reverse position, FSUIPC say to FS press F2 and hold it until its released at which point it presses F1. Now this works flawlessly whenyou want to do all engines, all the time, but is there a way to do this where each lever does its corresponding thrust reverser in FSUIPC or any other means?

Hithere I recently purchased a new Cyborg X and it has been working fine up until an odd and complicated issue I came across with my system recently. I managed to get my system running again after no reinstall of windows however now no matter what I try my Cyborg X is not recognised in the game controllers section on the control panel. I have two devices showing up in the device manager 1. Cyborg X (HID) with a yellow exclamation next to it2. I've just taken delivery of a Saitek Cyborg X Flight Stick. This is my first stick and I am totally new to flight simulation. I will use MS FS2004 to learn how to fly - using one of the single-engined light aircraft included. Eventually, I would then like to venture into combat flight simulation.So, is there a 'standard' or common set of functions usually assigned to a stick - there are dozens of functions available via the keyboard but what is the 'usual' subset that would be assigned to the stick. I would guess these would be functions used most often or which are most critical to controlling an aircraft.Any thoughts on this or advice would be greatly appreciated.TIA

I may be wrong, but the claim in the review that the real F16 stick is incapable of movement is in error isn't it chaps?The sticks fitted to the "first" F16's were indeed incapable of movement they were force sensing only.However... F16 pilots disliked the lack of movement, so some movement was later added.

Hello All -I am considering the purchase of a GoFlight MCP. However, I learned from reading a review that one cannot use this with the PMDG 737. I confirmed this with the support people at GoFlight. This presents a bit of a dilemma since the PMDG 737 is one that I fly regularly. I guess it is worth asking - is there a work around available? I understand it is due to PMDG no longer providing the driver for the MCP to work with their product.Any comments would be appreciated from those who have experienced this.Kevin

Is anyone using trackir 5 with success on FSX; if someone does have the unit working could you pass on your settings? It sounded like a great idea for flying the Citation Mustang in VC but so far it has been a big time waster.I have spent quite a lot of time trying to install, uninstall and than reinstall the unit.I have followed every cue in the software manual, all with no success.I have been on the trackir forums and received some suggestions mostly from war games users and road racers.The moderator is cheerful but has no answers.The view is impossible; the slightest head movement causes the view to flash side to side, even to back in the cabin.It is impossible to slow…

Hello to everyone! I have problem with the throttle quadrant of this setup. Its out of warranty so I did try to open the quadrant with purpose to clean the potentiometer. Unfortunately i couldn't. It has 2 bolts, but when I remove them nothing. I did try to pull & push the levers but still the same.Please if someone did open this thing, help me do that. Or even better can post pictures with instructions. I appreciate any help!

My CH USB yoke now needs to be unplugged and replugged after FS9 starts up. Appeared after W7 Home Prem 64 bit was installed. Not the end of the world but annoying.Anyone had this issue? Worked under xp and then vista 64Mark Jackson

Hi all,I have had the CH yoke, peddles, and Throttle quadrant for about five years now, all working great.The other day I decided that I would try to tweak the prop levers since I recently purchased a small twin. And now all throttle levers are out of wack. Everything else works fine. It is only the levers that I cant get back. I have done countless calibrations,checked the sensitivities,and the null, but the throttle levers bump to mid position instantly when I move them. I am running these calibrations through the control manager. I'm lost, I am running fs9.any ideas? :Cry: Doug

I'm not entirely sure how to get this working on the throttle. I've tried setting it up as the reverser in FSUIPC, however it doesn't do anything when I pull all the way back on the quadrant. Am I supposed to be using the logitech gaming software alongside it (right now I have it disabled as it seems to screw up any settings in FSX). I've got decrease throttle set to a button on the throttle for now, however I'd really like it integrated into the the quadrant for that extra added realism. If anyone has some experience with the G940 and wants to shed some light on their settings, that'd be awesome. I'm using FSX, btw.

Im thinking of getting trackir and I was wondering if it has any effect on frame rates and if I should get trackir 4 or 5?

I am thinking of building a 747 cockpit for FSX using commercial modules such as VRInsight MCP and CDUII but I'm having trouble locating an overhead panel. Does anyone out there know if a module is available and if so where?

First post so hi allI can buy quite cheaply Saitek X-52 joystick without fully functional twist (read impossible to use ;). So my question is: is it worth to buy it? Is it possible to set rudders to different key or control (not pedals) and have enjoyable flight? I am semi-new to avsim and i am having a problem with my TrackIR 5, it was working fine until i installed UTX USA and UTX Europe. Here is where the problem gets funny, if I fly a tutorial or a mission then it works fine, but if I try to go into FREE FLIGHT them it stops working. I have to say that I don't know a-lot about the system because it just arrived today :( . I am running WIN7 on a studio XPS 8100, 2.8 G Processor, 8GB RAMFSX DeluxeSaitek Flight Yoke, Throttle Quad, Multi-panel, flight switch panel, and rudder.Any help you can give will be great.Aregorn1

Hi!Im taking my driving licence in a couple of weeks, i wonder if TrackIR could affect my driving in any way? I mean, if i get very use to use TrackIR in flight sim, shouldn't it affect me when im driving and im trying to look around for traffic?Games do affect people, a friend of mine played a truck game, the game took place in Australia ant they are driving on the left side over there, just like in England. Hi Guys, I have started again the FSX Business after I was away for some years. Now I have a problem with my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. The front wheel of the Airplane in the game cant be handled correct. despite of what aircraft i choose, the wheel shows to the right. And of course the plain goes right. If I try to calibrate it I can turn the stick to the right down to 0% but to the left only down to 22%. I tried USB in the back of the PC as well as the one on the front. The curious thing is, that I had the same problem a couple off years ago on another PC with a Microsoft Force feed Back as well. So could it be a mechanical problem? Just getting back into FS (FSX), and would like to use a hardware autopilot like GoFlight MCP (and a Comm/Nav unit). I will probably also purchase the Flight1 PC12, but will be using other similar aircraft (payware and stock). Do Goflight units work with most aircraft? Is there a list?.....When I emailed GoFlight over a year ago with a similar question, I received no reply......So, I don't want to spend a bundle of money if it does not work on the planes I will be flying......Any advice appreciated - thanks in advance, Bill.
