A question to real pilots out there. Now I don't expect the pedals to feel like a real aircraft, but compared to say, a Cessna 172 or something of that ilk, do real pedals have that 'indent' at the centre position. I find it tricky to get nice smooth transitions from left to right rudder because of having to overcome (makes it sound tough) the notch. Any of that make sense to you?

Has anyone seen this controller before? If I read it correctly, it was for the original Xbox. I'm wondering if it could be configured for use in FSX. Looks like it could be great for just about any stick and rudder plane, especially fighter type.http://www.steelbattalion.org/controller.php

I have posted in the Logitech forum and have not received a response yet.I want to make a profile for my PMDG J4100. I made a copy of the FSX.Exe, naming it FSX_J4100.exe. I then opened the G940 profiler and opened select a game by double clicking it and it opens up. I then choose

Years ago, I bought a program FS9 (might have been an even earlier ver) that made the forcefeed back more realistic and customizable. I think it only worked with certain joysticks like the Microsoft Sidewinder 2. It was payware and worked great. I don't remember what it was called or if an FSX version was ever created for it. Does anyone know what happened to it. Is it still available? Does it work with FSX?Rob

I have two quadrants, with the USB quadrant mapped to engine 2 prop, engine 1 mixture, engine 2 mixture. The prop works fine, but won't feather even though the detent button is mapped to "propeller feather"Neither mixture lever works, despite being mapped to the mixture axis.Neither mixture lever idle cutoff detent button functions despite being mapped to "idle cutoff"Needless to say, not being able to feather a prop in a multiengine a/c results in disaster every time.Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks alot.

After installing the radio panel, it worked perfectly. However, SPAD is required to properly run the multi panel, which has autopilot functions. With SPAD running, the VS and IAS autopilot functions properly, however the radio panel act/stby do not work.Without SPAD running, the radio panel act/stby work fine, but the multi panel buttons IAS and VS do not work.Anyone else know of a fix to this?Contacted Saitek and Madcatz, but no use. Thanks!

So I've flown for 4 years and at least a million miles with my trusty Saitek X52.It's getting creaky and hard to fly with it. I'm looking for a replacement. I fly mostly in FSX although I do bring out HAWX once a month. I mostly fly big tin but ocassionally I bring out some fighters and GA birds. There are 2 candidates for the replacement of my stick listed in the poll above. I looked at the Saitek X-65 but it's beyond my price range. I read the reviews at Amazon for both sticks and I need some more input. My current X52 was amazing up until about last year, but I think the G940 looks promising too. Please help me choose the right stick. Thanks in advance

I have buyed new Saitek Cyborg X and I have a problem with it.I have Windows XP SP3 with MS FS2004.I have installed drivers and plugged Saitek Cyborg X and it works. In MS FS2004 joystick is always pulling up a little bit which causes plane to always pitch up.What is the problem?I tried to do calibration from MS FS2004 but I don't get dialogs where I can calibrate, except for Saitek software which doesn't have calibration.Help!I have tried joystick on Vista 64 with MS FSX and it's the same problem, but there I can do calibration from MS FSX and calibration is perfect.I am not sure what the problem is.

Im thinking of getting the Saitek yoke, throttle quadrant and peddles to replace my MS sidewinder 2. The Sindwinder 2 served me well for many years, but Im in the mood to fly with a yoke and throttle. I dont think Ill miss forcefeed for a yoke. I fly in FSX and mostly in GA stuff. I thought this would be a good choice, but wanted to see what others have to say about it before I pull the trigger in it. I can get the whole package for $240, which sound reasonable. Thanks for any advice.Rob

Hi and hello!Since there is no Force Feedback yoke and no FF rudder for affordable price, I started looking for other solution. I have found ButtKicker Gamer2, inteliVibe and SimSeat Live. The first were reviewed in some places, I do not found nothing valuable regarding iVibe (sending an email to support also did not provide any response), and nothing beside the link about SimSeat LIVE!I know there are some simmers using stuff like this. Would love to see some opinions, links, clues. I have read all the topics here regarding BK G2, but this is not enough for me.It will be used with 240V A/C with continental (EU) plug.Any help will be much appreciated.

I'm going to be moving to another country for the summer (work-related) and am taking my laptop. I'd like to be able to take my joystick but am leery of having it packed in my household goods shipment, so I'm considering packing it in my luggage. Would it be feasible to remove the handle from the base and wrap the whole thing in bubblewrap? Bad idea?

hello,I'm starting to buy saitek pro flight units, to begin to use fsx seriously.I'm seeking advice about wich parts are the best picks , wich order to buy them.Right now i have The yoke+throttle, and ordered the switch panel.I'm looking at the autopilot panel, rudder, and radio panel.Would you buy the two last remaining panels first, then the rudder, or the rudder + one panel?I'm also wondering if you can use the panels without sticking them to the desktop, won't they move when used? Can you stick them to the throttle inserts? Thanks a lot.-sorry for my bad english, froggy here ;[ -

hi,"I have 3 saitek Throttle quadrants connected to my PC through FSUIPC (FSX). Let us say that throttle "1" has a set "A" of controls, Throttle "2" a set "B" and throttle "3" a set "C". I had to unplug all my pieces of hardware and when I reinstalled everything, throttles and controls were mixed up. It took me a lot of effort :( to make everything work like before but without understanding how I succeeded. What is the solution to avoid mixing up FSUIPC assignements and throttles? Thanks.

I am currently using saitek yoke/throttle/pedals for my simulator setup. Unfortunately, they have their limitations and I have had way too many spiking issues with them (been using them for nearly 2 years now). I am building a new PC soon, so I thought I would also get a new yoke/throttle/pedals/and optionally some more panels. I have been able to find 2 brands, PFC and GoFlight. I'd ideally get something like the 737 yoke but something that gets attached to a desk rather than the floor (I live in an apartment with wooden floors, my wife would divorce me if she saw that 737 yoke drilled on the floor). So I'm wondering if there is anything like that or if one of the other …

Folks, was looking around but found nothing suitable so far. Love my old Wingman rumblepad since it has a slider on top for throttle. Now one button which used to be brakes does not work anymore and I am looking for a replacement. However, all pads I have seen so far have no slider anymore. Are there any gampads still coming with a slider for throttle axis?Else, if I decided to buy eg a Microsoft XBOX/PC gamepad, how would I control throttle then without a slider?BestPhil
