Hi there,I need some help with joystick and pedals drivers and hardware issues. Can anyone help me out?I'm new here and haven't found a thread on this specific topic. I used to use an older version of Microsoft Flight Sim (2002 I think) along with my 15-peg joystick and pedals. I have a new computer now, and have bought FSX, but still have my old CH Flight Stick Pro and Pro Pedals. Can I still use these older controllers with FSX? I no longer have a 15 peg port to attach them to my tower, only USB ports. So, I went and bought some adapters to convert the 15-peg to USB. Will this work, and if so, what kind of drivers do I need to get it working?I should be able to d…

Hi Folks,I just got the new Goflight MESM (Multiple Engine Start Module) and installed the latest GF drivers. The device was detected normally and I wanted to assign the necessary settings to the start knobs and ignition switch.Guess what, this seems to be a real problem to me :( All selections that I can make are "Engine_Start_On" or "Off". Sounds strange for selectors like CONT or FLT Start, even more for the ignition switches, which seem to work as starters only. I guess that I have to assign the needed functions by "Key Sequence". But there is another problem, FSX doesn't support all different settings like FLT or CONT start or IGNITION LEFT, RIGHT. Therefore I can't a…

Hey all,I want to include a some LED indicatior lights to my panel to indicate my flaps position. The main reason for this is because I am using a simple momentary paddle switch, and have no idea of knowing where my flaps are based on looking at the switch. Does anyone know the best way to go about doing this? I was thinking something simple like a green LED for the up position, Yellow for approach and red for down.Any ideas would be great. Thanks

Hi,All things were working perfect yesterday and suddenly this morning, i have problem with the rudder pedal control (CH product). The left brake doesn't work anymore and if i applypressure (braking) on both pedals, only the right brake goes on. I've updated GEX Europe and GEX NA this morning as per written procedure but i can't see what it has to do with the rudder. Would it be somethings broken in the contro itself. Also according to the control setting nothing has changed. I've tried to reassign each pedal but when i depress the left one nothing change. Need your help all you guys. ThanksLmaire

Track-IR - The best investment if you want your PPLFirst and foremost... I am not affiliated with Naturalpoint or Track IR in any way.I have been working toward a real pilot's license for a long time. In this process I have amassed 1000+ hours on the simulator and worked with any number of add-ons of various types and value. I will not debate which is better except in one category. Read on.In the years that I have flown on the sim and whenever I could go aloft for real one salient point has always been stressed by real pilots..."Get your head out of the airplane!"Without a single exception this simple concept is the biggest "gripe" pilots and CFI's have with home fligh…

Hey folks, I'm new here, so hello to one and all. I've tried to do my due diligence by searching and reading before posting questions, but please forgive me if I've missed an article or something in the FAQ which has already answered my question. Here goes: I'm an FSX user who is primarily interested in flying helicopters, and I want to upgrade from an on-the-desk joystick, but I'm not quite ready to spend a year and several thousand dollars constructing a DIY cockpit. What I want mainly is a joystick with its fulcrum near the floor instead of just below my hand and a collective control which functions semi-realistically and is located somewhat near m…

It's not so much about the price, but useability.First to say, I have NO home-cockpit, only a table with my computer on, laptop, and right now, a MS FF2 joystick.I would like to extend everything slowly, as I can't afford 1000€ at once. First thing I would like to get a throttle. The question for me is: should I get a TQ6 or Saitek throttles. Is TQ6 mountable, as I don't have a rack? How could I mount it without some locking mechanism? I don't want to drill through my desk...Also, I had these throttles in test, and they performed pretty well, I used to assign F2 as a button to the reversers on the throttle, which worked OK (though not really realistic). Now, TQ6 has levers…

Has anybody ever had their yoke become unresponsive after 30 minutes of flying on Autopilot. The yoke will just quit functioning but the rudder pedals will be OK. I've checked in the control section under 'display' and it recognizes the rudders as being activated but the yoke is nowhere to be found. I'm wondering if maybe my anti-virus software might be causing this problem. Anyways, I thought I'd post it and see if anyone can figure this one out.jake

Well, now that I'm sick and tired of my Logitech Force 3D Pro (which I had to buy because of the lack of availability of the Extreme 3D pro), I'm looking for a new joystick for replacing it. I've seen these 2 sticks from Saitek: the Aviator (the standard one, not the Xbox or PS3 one) and the Cyborg X. Here at the Avsim store, as well as FS Pilot Shop and X-plane.org's store, I've seen the Aviator is US$10 cheaper than the Cyborg X, however, I can't see any difference between them: both have 2 throttles, twist for rudder and almost the same number of buttons. What do you recommend me? My budget is limited to $50.Best regards from ColombiaLuis MiguelPS: If you ask "why the …

FTor any of you who has a quadrant and the levers are sloppy and hard to control, (I had this condition, but the unit was five+ years old), send it back to CH for a repair, and what a difference!! These guys did a SUPER job of replacing the levers so all work like new..........all for $48 bucks.......I am extremely pleased with this service!!...........BUT, I just asked them to do the same with my CH Yoke, (also five + years old), and they now say no repairs available if the unit is "out of warrantee"...........has anyone else had this customer service treatment??................Maybe I misunderstood, but I cannot imagine any manufacturer refusing to fix their products..…

I fly online with a plugged in mike and two loudspeakers. I never had a problem with either.Recently my mike is not working. I can hear the controller, but have to type back my response-very annoying.I tried to callibrate the mike in the SB options/ voice section. The result is negative; I get a report that background noise...mike quality...replace the mike.. bla bla.Yet, when I use Skype the same mike works perfectly. It's placed on the desk, a good 50 cms away, and picks up my voice. Within SB, the mike is useless.I've got max volume within the windows sound manager. So what is exactly is the problem?Eytan Ornstein

If so does anyone have the pin out ? If not what is the format used on these pins ?Thanks for any help.Combi31

I have a CH Products Flight Yoke LE that seems to be dead. Suddenly FS9 doesn't recognize it . Its the the same with FSUIP. I tried running the Windows 7 recognition program and got nothing. I've had this thing many years. Think its time for a new one? The device manager said I had a "problem" with a USB device. Any thoughts?

Hi all,If anyone out there uses the Saitek multi panel, how do you center the elevator trim? There isn't really a "center" setting on the trim wheel, so the trim can be at a low or high setting on takeoff, and I won't know it until the aircraft either takes a nose dive or shoots straight up. As a workaround, I tried centering the trim wheel in the virtual cockpit before takeoff, or clicking the appropriate key command on the keyboard to center all control surfaces.I'm just curious how others manage the trim setting when using this wheel. I love this multi panel, and the trim wheel is great when I finally find that center point.thanks!

Hi allBeen searching on here for the problem im having. Recently got a new Computer with Vista64 on and just finished re installing FS9 and FSX on separate drives and also used the registry tool from Flight1 so the two dont get mixed up. Downloaded the latest drivers from CH Products and installed for the pedals to be used on vista64. Now I have no prob in FS9 but in FSX the aircraft keeps turning to the left. Ive tried calibrating and everything I can think of but nothing solves the problem. From what I can see most people solved the prob by taking apart the pedals and putting them together again. Im no good at stuff like that, if we have a problem on the plane in …

Any advice on a reasonably priced controller for rotorcraft. I have been using a Logitech Wingman Force 3D & don't find it very adequate. In contast I tried my trusty Ch Products flight yoke & found by remaping I could fly the FSX Bell & Robbie much better but it's not very practical.I realise a set of rudder pedals would make things easier & I see most rotorcraft type controllers have them.It would be also be a bonus to get a set of those that would be compatable with the flight yoke for flying fixed wing.
