Well I've pretty much finished my panels for my simpit, based off the DC-3. I used the Xinterface USB joystick controller from www.flightsimelectronics.com. The website says it has 6 joystick axises but the one they sent me has 8. I've got 4 unused pot inputs though and really didn't want them to go to waste. Any ideas on what I can do with them? So far I have rudders and 3 different trim wheels. I thought maybe toe brakes? Even then that will still leave me with 3(?) unused axises. I am highly considering reproducing the DC-3 yoke as my Saitek yoke feels more like a modern GA aircraft, so I'm thinking that would use 2 axis?. I have a Saitek throttle quadrant but was …

I post because I just can't figure these out...I've searched and google'd till I can't read anymore! Here's the deal...Windows 7 64bit AMD Phenom II X6 MSI 890GXM-658 Gig of ram EVGA N580GTX 1.5 GigFSX and Acceleration..... The culprits...The Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System...Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant...No matter what I've tried I can not get a set up of Throttle-Throttle/Prop-Prop/Mixture-Mixture like you would find in a real world twin! The yoke system throttle is first IE. Throttle-Throttle/ Prop (1)...and the add on Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant is to the right of that Prop (2) Mixture-Mixture.I can not get the Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant to match up on any of t…

Hi all,I'm currently using a Thrustmaster joystick, which works fine, and i'm mainly flying pmdg aircraft. Just recently I have been considering buying a Yoke to improve the experience of my simming. But my question is which one?I've been reading through the posts on here, and it appears there are two to choose from, CH products and Saitek. I've read here, good, bad, and some real horror's about both. This has kinda put me off a little bit and I'm, wondering if I should just stick with my trusty stick! Unfortunately money is limited, so can't go to the high end yokes that are out there. I was leaning towards the Saitek product, mainly due to the fact, that it looks to be …

I remember reading (maybe here) about some fantastic controllers that could be useful for FS. These controllers were also famous because they were intended for sale in Japan only. Does anybody remember the page where these controllers were offered? Neither Google nor the search function here could help me :(Best regards from Colombia,Luis Miguel

Hi everybody and merry christmas.I did post this at the TrackIR forum, but i get no reply there. Just got myself TrackIR5 with Track clip pro for christmas and was trying to install it.But i have a problem, when i run setup, I get 2 different errors. The first one comes up almost immediatly and reads "Setup failed to run installation. One or more arguments are not correct." I then click on OK on the popup window and the process ends. Then if I try to install again without rebooting, I get. "Error extracting support files. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process". this ends if i go into task manager and end IKernel.exe *32 process.…

I am not sure if failing is the right word. At any random time my yoke will stop responding. This is a CH yoke. If I look at the game controllers icon in Control Panel the yoke is gone. If I un-plug it & re-plug it in it works fine. Until next time. This has been happening for a few months. When I plugged my yoke & pedals into the two front USB ports I do not remember them ever failing. How do I know this is either the port or the yoke(not likely)? I thought if the port was bad all of them would be bad. Thanks for any input.Pat Callaghan

Hello guys,I am having trouble with my X52 Pro PS/2 port on the throttle side. There appears to be something wrong with it internally because unless I hold the cable at a certain angle and apply a certain amount of force, the computer does not recognize signals from the stick end. It will light up the LEDs on the stick, but will not read any button presses or axis movements. I have already replaced the cable but that has not solved the problem.I took the base of the throttle off to check the printed circuit board attached to the PS/2 port on the throttle. All the wires *appear* to be securely soldered and don't appear to be touching one another. At this point I am going t…

Can any one in the UK help me to obtain a lead to connect my Saitek throttle and joystick together - the original lead got damaged - the pins snapped. Saitek no longer do spares for their joysticks. I tried a lead from Maplins but did not work as all the pins have to be connected and obviously the Maplins lead did not have all the pins connected. If I cannot get a new lead it means a quite expensive joystick is useless. Any help would be appreciated. The joystick is a X52 Pro.

Hello,as this is my first post here on this forum, a short introduction to myself (well, a very short one): I'm rather new to the whole flight sim stuff but not very new to the industry. I work as an engineer for the largest european aerospace company and am heavily involved in the development of the latest military transport aircraft at the moment. Regarding flight sim, I am mainly interested in mid complexity aircraft, more in systems than in flight dynamics.Today I have received my latest gear-addition, the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS. I have a Saitek X52 Pro and a Saitek Yoke sitting next to it but my personal thought is that they will end up on the bay very soon :)Doe…

Hello,Does anyone know how to increase the response time or the quickness of turning a knob on the GoFlight RF48. I am using the GF keymapping program and have assigned the "Heading" bug function to one of the knobs but the response is slow. I have the key mapping speed set to max "11" but I still find it really difficult to turn and turn and turn the knob just to turn the plane around.Anyone know anything about this?thanks

Hi AllAs I am waiting for my new PC to be built, I need to invest in a bit of Hardware. I had a Saitek Joystick/Throttle which I gave away (silly me) and think the build quality is excellent..So, I was looking at either the Saitek X52 Joystick/Throttles, then I thought of the Saitek Pro Yoke System. How about CH products? How do they stack up against Saitek. I am leaning towards a Yoke this time.. for something a bit different. Thanks

I believe there's a way of removing ALL previous USB controller entries from the Windows registry, but I can't find how.Can anyone remember?I think my PC sometimes gets a little confused due to the number of times I've changed USB sockets of my FSX controlers :Hypnotized:

I currently have the VRInsight M-Panel and it is doing the job well as far as it goes. I was wondering whether the logical next step would be to add their CDU or upgrade to their Combo panel and perhaps later add the CDU. Or are the Combo panel and the CDU mutually exclusive? And if I buy the Combo panel should I no longer bother with the M-Panel? Does anyone have any advice on which way to go? When I read the descriptions there seems to be a bit of an overlap. Or am I missing the point altogether?

I have a G940 unit and I have wrestled it into submission and it works pretty well. The main issue that I have is that if I have the Logitech profiler software running, the throttles are not even close to matched in FSX. At the bottom and top of the spectrum, throttle one and two are okay, but from about 10% - 90% they are not close. Closing the profiler software and then returning the throttles to idle they work like magic again. So here is what I have setup. All of the buttons, except the axises which can't be, are programmed in FSX (not profiler). Throttles are mapped in a registered version of FSUIPC. Throttle, Joystick, and Rudders axises are mapped in FSX as well. S…

On a laptop with windows 7. Not the touchpad mouse although it has the same problem.I have fs9 on my desktop and when I point the mouse over an instrument in an aircraft, it would show in a little box what that instrument was reading - as an example, altimeter is reading 7900, and putting mouse over it shows 7897. Does that make sence? When using the aeroworx King Air for instance, hovering the mouse over the power levers would show the % they were positioned at.But on my laptop I also have fs9 but the mouse - touchpad or external mouse - doesn't do this. Doesn't sound like a big deal but was real handy for flying the aeroworx King Air with the power levers, iTT indicator…

Hi... quick question, if anyone has one of these, is it meant to have a detent at half throttle? I recently bought one, and it feels like it's meant to be there, but it does seem like an odd idea.

Good evening all. For over a year now i have used my saitek throttle quadrant and it has worked well, but now is failing me. Time for an upgrade! The two that have caught my attention thus far are the GoFlight TQ-8 Throttle quad, and the CH throttle quad. The GoFlight option seems perfect but is about 3 times the price of the CH one. Is it worth saving for? Does anyone know if the CH one has detents, similar to the saitek throttles, for reverse thrust? One other option that i have seen is something along the lines of the CH pro throttle. A 'one handed' single axis throttle with a good selection of buttons/switches. The problem is, they are all for people who use their left…

Hey guys, I have the PFC Jetliner Column yoke, I had it sent in to be re-furbished, new potentiometers, springs etc. I have had it back for a while and I have had this problem ever since i got it back, the guys over at flypfc suggest re-installing FSX, saying that is a, "Memory" issue of FSX or the PC having memory of the older pots in the yoke, and in FSX with the aileron axis center on my yoke what the sim see's is a slight / moderate right aileron input and not being able to achieve full deflection to one side, I deleted the FSX axis and assigned it through FSUIPC which helped it but now I can never get a true center position when the yoke is centered. Its always off b…

Would someone please help me with my rudder settings in FSX. I can't seem to get them to work properly. What I would like to see are the settings that you must have in the 'Buttons/Keys" and the "Control Axis" settings. In the control axis section I'm showing aileron axis as axis 01 and elevator axis as axis 02 and rudder axis as axis 03. What should my settings be in both the 'buttons/keys' section and also what settings should they be in the 'Control Axis' area? I guess what I need is a guide on how to do both the rudders and the yoke. Can anyone help me in this regard?jen

Has anyone replaced the LED that lights up the clock on the Saitek yoke? Mine burned out or flashes rapidly on & off. Clock numbers are still OK though. Sent Saitek a note about this without getting a reply. Now my yoke is over a year old so the warranty no longer applies. If you have changed it, I would appreciate any tips on doing it. If not, I'll tackle it and hope I don't ruin anything. Thanks, Jim D.
