Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etc

I just got a Trackir 5 and generally am pleased that I can now look around. I have a couple of issues which may or may not be related to the setup. I have the reflector rig on a baseball cap and I look straight ahead at the center of the screen and hit F12 to center the view. When I look ahead in FSX it's fine -- I see the top of the dashboard, however to look at the lower part of the panel (the switches for instance in the Cessna 172) I have to lower my head a lot but then I have to look up with my eyes to see the panel. Everyone seems to favor TrackIR, and I'm sure it has an advantage being that its a commercial product, but what are the major differences between it and Free Track? Wouldn't they work just the same?

Just got the Backlit information panel. No disc included...paper saying to download latest driver. Did that. When I launched it to install....at the point where it says connect hardware and click next...it gives me an "error" message and does not complete the install. I just started using my GF-MCP Advanced Autopilot (not the PRO version) in a Bombardier. I flew from KGSO to KGSP and I noticed the following (and maybe I'm not using it correctly). I could not activate the COURSE feature --- the NAV button would not light up so I just used the HEADING knob to keep on track with a VOR radial -- all other AP functions worked correctly. Is this feature meant to maintain a course on a VOR radial that is tuned into the NAV radio? I was using the NAV radio with the VOR gauge to navigate. What is the function of the APR and BC buttons? I read about the CH plastic shaft not being good for precision flight after continuous wear.How would you recommend it to me against the Saitek? Hello I’m writing this for a friend who doesn’t speak English. He has bought a Saitek BIP panel and can’t use it. He has installed the latest software and the panel tests OK so it can be seen by the computer. The problem is that Flight Simulator X doesn’t see it at all so it can’t be used,. I told him to try forcing the driver to run in the menu before starting FSX but it doen’t work. Unfortunately, he can’t bring back to the store so he has to make it work. He has other panels and a yoke plus rudder pedals and throttle controls in his system and they all work fine. I also have a few panels but not the BIP and they all work fine too. Hi guys, just received my PZ45 throttle quad today and gave it a go, worked just fine with FSX so I'm all happy.BUT, I do have a concern about the detents. So on the quad there's a detent for the 0/idle position. Getting into the detent is easy, but trying to get the lever out of the detent takes a bit of force, and I hear an audible "click" every time it goes out of the detent. Please excuse me if this sounds stupid, but I'm actually afraid the lever will break in half if I keep doing that!! Is there any trick for getting the lever out of the 0 detent without using force? I tried pushing/pulling/applying sideways force on the lever in hopes it would make a smooth transit…

I have a CH Products Flightstick Pro analog joystick with a broken hat switch. They no longer support the analog stick or have replacement parts. I am trying to decide whether to buy a Combatstick or another Flightstick Pro USB joystick. Does anyone have any experience with the Combatstick and setup with the Control Manager software. I have several GF-166 NAV radios. When I tune to a particular VOR I get the identifier morse code (good for determining if I have the correct VOR). However, how do I turn the identifier OFF? It's annoying to fly IFR using VORs with the tone on all the time.ThanksAlanEditI found it. I have to program one switch or button for each NAV radio with AUDPNL_NAV1 (or NAV2)_IDENT from the drop down list.

Hi,I've been using the Spad driver for a few months with no problem at all untill a week ago. Now the panels sometimes freeze for a few seconds, or I have erratic numbers displayed in the transponder window. I've not been able to identify the cause of this issue. I don't remember changing anything in my configuration. I have windows 7 with the UAC turned off and I am in standard mode for Spad for one radio panel and the multi panel.Any idea?Thank you.

HiFollowing some rather annoying problems with FSX crashing over the last 5 months i decided to reinstall absolutely everything from scratch, including the OS, but this time i've put FSX on my second hard drive, and Win 7 OS on the main C drive.My question is, where should the drivers for my Saitek modules (radio, Multifunction and switch panels) go ? When i installed the most up to date driver which i got off the net, it didn't give me any option to install it anywhere other than the main C drive, but now the MFD panel is randomly flashing the speed and altitude values without me doing anything. I'm wondering if its because i have the drivers on the C drive with the OS …

Just received my new GF-WP-6 annunciator device.For some reason this think doesn't work Running win7, upgraded .NET FRAMEWORK to Ver 4.3 Mounting the Panel to my GoFlight mini rack Plugging in, USB all lights are coming, OS recognize device as WCP device Installing WP6 & Gkeys Application Lunching both of them & neither one of them is recognizing the GF-WP-6 The GFKeys does recognize my GF-P8 Any idea :Thinking: YairP.SWould "LINDA" be able to help ???????????

Well, as described above...my Saitek Multifunction display, Radio panel, and button panel will randomly freeze. FSX will pause when this happens. When I Unpause it....the panels are frozen where they were and no longer work. I've got to finish the flight using the on screen main panel. I've reloaded the system and it seemed to work fine. But it has started again. Sometimes it's during the passenger loading of the aircraft when I'm using the panel for atl. changes, heading...etc. Other times it happens towards the end of the flight when I use the multifunction panel to begin the descent. I tried use Bom'e Midi Translator but on my console I have 26 axis and with this software it's impossible to emulate them. So i found GlovePie and PPjoy , with them I can do what I need but I can't set those software. Can anyone help me?

Hi all,Saitek posted earlier today on Facebook, that they have released a new driver for the BIP panel, and a new driver for the Instrument Panel screens. I can't comment on the FIP drivers, as I don't have one of those, but the new BIP driver has fixed the parking brake light issue. The do claim better stability as well.
