G'day, I know I probably could have looked around but I would like to be a little more specific to you all. My Saitek Pro Flight Yoke, after just under 2 years, well, I am sick of it. Had two problems already and I am worried that if something else goes after the warranty expires (Jan 2012), then I am in big trouble so I would like to replace it now. Obviously I don't want a Pro Flight Yoke and I don't want anything from CH either cos of that plastic shaft. I am looking at something with a max price of $300. I honestly don't know if such thing exists but I am hoping one of you will. Regards,

Coming back to FSX flying after a fwe years off, and am looking to get a yoke for flying. I used to use my Thrustmaster Cougar for both military and FS200/2004 back when I used FS, but would like to move to a yoke for flying in FSX, and keep the Cougar for military sims/games. Looks like the only two options are the Saitek pro flight system and the CH Eclipse. Both seem to get generally good reviews, with some problems. Saitek seems to have that detent that some people hate, is it really that bad? I'll look at stores locally, but I probably won't be able to do a "hands on" test at a store. CH can be a little grabby, but fixed with a light lubricant. Any strong feeling abou…

I have a set of CH Rudder pedals. The toe brakes work great, but FSX will randomly ignore my rudder input. One second, the rudder will move and another, it won't move at all! Is this a possible FSX issue or one with my actual hardware?

There's a design flaw in this unit, which causes the wiring inside to eventually snap from fatigue. The right toe brake on mine failed way back in 2005, but I decided to finally have a go at fixing it. Basically you take the unit apart, peel some of the insulation off, solder the wire together again, put some tape on any other wire where the insulation looks frayed or damaged and re-assemble the unit. If you have been using the unit for a few years and everything still works, it might still be a good idea to open it up and check the wiring. Maybe you can reinforce the insulation with some tape before one of the wires snap completely. After doing this, the unit works great…

I have two Seitek throttle quadrants. Setting them up in FSX is a bit confusing because they both have the same name (see attached JPG). Is there a way of changing their names so that it would be easier to tell them apart? Thanks. Charlie Felix

I ran the first tests of the frictionless damping for my helicopter cyclics ,the results showed a very mild damping effect but I hopeful of perfecting the method to give a realistic response on the cyclicMarkRainman Simulatorswww.rainman.tv

HiI am wondering if I can safeatelyconnect the hardware above to the hub D-Link DUB-H4? Does anyone know if I also can connect the power supply to the hub without any risk for the connected hardware above to be damage? I take the power to the hardware through the EXT 5v unit to the hardware! Best Fredrik

Sorry if this is an old topic, just returning to FSim after a long break. I have a set of CH pedals but no matter how many times I calibrate them the brakes are alway on. The only way I can use them is with my heels pressed realy hard on them. Not a good idea on a long taxi. Any ideas as to cause and resolution would be gratefully appreciated. Cheers Keith B

Hi,I'm puzzled...I've ben thinking about purchasing TrackIR5...but then I "discovered" about the opportunity to not spend all 100-120 € on one piece of hardware and to get 2 or 3 cockpit essentials ( Yoke, throttle etc. )...Now here are my two questions:1) What should I go for? TrackIR5 or for yoke throttle etc...2) If you think I should go for more hardware, what should I go for? ( always keeping in mind that I wouldn't want to spend 200€ only on one piece eh! ;) )thanks

I have had my saitek Cyborg X for some time now (around a year and a half) and now some issues have sprung up when I use it.The main one is the fact that when you push the elevators (in my game) down the rudder goes full to the right. This is not a problem with the game as when playing with the keyboard it works fine, this leaves me to believe it could be either a physical problem or the wrong drivers as when I go onto the calibration screen it shows me that it calibrated fine but the same thing happens again.Any ideas-Matty

I can't get access to the saitek forum. Although i'm registered, it says i don't have enough 'permission' to access the page:-(Any help appreciatedThanks

Hi guys, I have recently bought a Satiek Pro Yoke System, with the Throttle Quadrant for use with my FSX setup. I downloaded a profile from Satiek's web site for FSX and was wondering if anyone has managed to reprogram the X & Y levers? The Z is fine for the throtle and reverse thrust, but the X & Y don't seem to do anything in FSX. I was wanting to program one (X) for elevator trim up and down and the other (Y) for rudder left and right. Has anyone done this or could anyone help me achieve this as I am quite confused about the profile editor from Satiek. Thanks in advance.

With the looming NGX around the corner im wondering how I can set up my Wathog throttle so that the lower part of the throttle is used for reversers. Can it be done? I tried a few things in FSX and have a full copy of FSUIPC but I dont know what to set it to. Is it even possible? It seems the lower detent is a diffrent axis from the normal throttle

Hi I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. I have a Saitek setup which includes a Yoke, two throttle quadrants ,TPM , multi panel and pedals. What is happening intermittently is either the TPM or the quadrants start misbehaving and the motions on the controls get erratic. Most of the time things work great but when this happens all hell breaks loose. I know all the controller setting and know how to make them work in harmony so there isn't a lack of knowledge on my part as for configurating the separate devices. Does anyone know where FSX stores the controller info and how it works. I can disconnect a controller reboot my machine start up FSX ck the controller t…

I'm sorry if this has been asked before Nothing came up on Google search.. it's been driving me nuts all afternoon. :( I got my x65F today.. Installed the software and verified all of the separate axis' worked. After messing around with LINDA and FSUIPC, I backed out of FSX and tried to start playing with the calibration software that came with the Saitek joystick. When I reopened saitek's calibration software and looked at the throttles, only throttle one will register as moving both throttles and throttle two is not showing any movement at all. What did I do to my axis' and how can I fix this? I cannot seem to fix it in Saiteks calibration software. Thanks for your help…

Hi, I got my stand-alone TQ early this morning (Thanks FedEx :) ) hooked it up to my computer, calibrated it and thought everything would be A-okay. I was wrong. Throttles 1-2 are performing okay but 3-4 aren't. If I was to move throttles 3-4 just a little (and I mean just a little) out of idle, the RPM (I guess that's what it's called) goes up to about 70-80%. I attached a picture showing what I'm talking about. I also tried to calibrate it in FSUIPC (registered) but no luck. I don't know what to do to from here on. Any suggestions? If that has been answered before, may you please point me to the thread? I tried searching but no luck unless I'm blind x__x

Bought the GF-LGTII recently but I dont think the 3 way position button is working corectly. I dont get any functionality when the switch is moved to the middle position. In FSUIPC I see buttons 1 and 2 when move left and right but none retuned to middle position. Trying to operate my fuel selector. Should I return it? Thx
