Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to easily remove the Saitek yoke handle and replace it with a custom one. I was thinking of creating an Embraer style yoke handle and maybe mounting it on the saitek. It seems like its just a plastic handle attached to a piece of metal? How hard do you think it would be to remove it without damaging the aileron/elevator functionality? Thanks!Jason

Hiya (me again)my latest need to know is but a little background first.I have at least got my displays just displays (not buttons etcawaiting new ATMEGA chip ......sigh) kind of working although I do not think I have done it as it should be .All controls are being adjusted in FSX with the mouse for the experiment!I looked at other ",dab" files to try to see what to do.I also found in the samples folder"b737ng_glareshield.ini" & "b737ng.ini"but no dab file or fsp.I looked in the ini file and made sure my CID's etc tallied with those in the fileI used another sample .dab file & .fsp simply overwrote the contentsThus :-(FSP file)D:\Program Files\FSBUSCDK\samples\b73…

I just received new Saitek throttles, after sending in my old ones due to pot problems and noisy axis.I think Saitek changed something, because these "new" throttles, which are the same as old ones, feel completely different. The old ones were a cheap feeling, moving forward and backwards. These new one are way harder to move, also the movement is way way smoother. Axes are still a bit noisy, nothing like the old one though, but time is going to tell what's in store for me.Reverse buttons which were completely malfunctioning are now good. And I got an idea how to quickly make a two-throttle lever out of 4 throttle lever (aka "CH Throttle Lever Clips).Pictures are worth 1000…

I fly many kinds of civil aircraft in FSX ranging from GA single prop aircraft to 4-engine jet liners. I usually use autopilot unless I fly a very short distance or the aircraft does not have autopilot. I already have a CH Flightstick Pro, 2 Saitek throttle quadrants, and Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals. I was thinking about adding a bit more realistic control in FSX. Would the Saitek Pro Cessna Yoke be good for all types of civil aircraft or just the Cessna 172? Should I go for the older version yoke if I fly many types of civil aircraft in FSX? Also would Saitek's Cessna trim wheel be good for all types of aircraft in FSX or should I just stick to my throttle quadrant's ro…

FSX and Windows 7 32 bit; I have these two controllers both assigned to the the x & y axis, elevator and ailerons, and this worked without conflict for a long time. So I can fly with the stick or the yoke and use the saitek quadrant which ever.Recently, I am seeng aileron jitter when using the Logitech stick, unless I disable the saitek yoke in device manager, and that loses me my throttle quadrant. Pitch still works, but ailerons (and spoilers in gliders) jitter. Are these devices sharing an IRQ or something? I've tried moving the logitech stick usb to a different USB port, and it's connected directly to the PC, not via a hub or the yoke's own usb hub.I have a lice…

Story so farOk I have built my 737 MCP panel along with the required FSBus boards.I have flashed the Tttiny's on the display board and the Atmega on the i/o64 board.I have used fsadmin to set the CIDs and all the buttons/rotaries.Have tested all leds and displays. All seem to function as I would expect.HOW OH HOW do I get this to actually work with FSX?Earlier I ran CDK but there was nothing I could do to get a button or switch etc to work or led's or displays to be effected from within CDK...I ran the samples and I got nothing from the experience.I did find a setup tab which looked very similar to fsadmin but in this area my panel did not react as it had done in fsadmi…

I was wondering if this was even remotely possible. I just bought one brand new cheaply (primary for use with gran turismo) and it would be great if could also double as a yoke (with force feedback built in!)

Searched the forums and found little bits of info but nothing that is clear on how to exactly get the G940 working. Can anyone provide a step by step of what they did to get everything working? I have gotten the everything to work just through FSX but I can not get the throttles to control left and right on the engines. Can someone provide some insight on how to do this.

hi guys Great to be here looks Like a great place! While I am good at mechanical engineering and fair at electronics the software part just won't sink in with me & this leaves me totally clueless. I have developed a little board that converts toggle switches to simulate a button press (ie like when toggling landing lights on and off)..I have fed the output of my circuit to a dimembered joystick. Now if I plug the thing into my pc I can see the switches working exactly as intended in the control panel (as a generic gamepad).Problem is the "buttons" (1-12) are already assigned to my ch yoke..and fsx sees my controller as another set of buttons 1-12I have read that …

I don’t have a full-size A320 cockpit at home, but I have built a mini-pedestal that includes the MCDU, the radio, the engine starter, the ECAM Control Panel and a Saitek throttle quadrant, very convenient. On the Saitek throttle, 2 levers are used for engines and the third is for speed brakes. The problem is that I have only 2 levers configured to control 2 engines, so I can’t fly the A340 or A380 with this as they have 4 engines. I would like to be able to control the 2 left engines with the left lever and the 2 right engines, but I don’t know how to do this. The axis configuration dialog in fs9 does not allow the control of 2 engines with the same throttle axis. In addi…

Hey,after completing the mod to the yoke which takes out a few springs to make the yoke smoother i have found that it does help for large movements and the aileron axis works nicely but, on approach with any plane and making small adjustments, it impossible to make a good landing cos every time it just gets stuck and you have to move it more than necessary. Any ideas?

I have the Saitek X52 and it has been great minus the S video looking cables that connect the two. They come out very easily. My issue right now is that I have the throttle all the way back to 0 yet when I load up FSX the plane starts to move forwards and start to accelerate quickly even though I have the throttle all the way to 0. I am tempted to look into the X52 pro. Any ideas or solutions for my problem?

Hi guys, I've just finished a short video looking at all the switch assignment possibilities with the Hotas Warthog. I hope those who may be considering the purchase of this controller will find it helpful and also those who question why so many of us insist on flying the NGX with this great piece of hardware. EDIT: 48 assignment possibilities! http://youtu.be/P-4SKr41mLM

I am considering replacing my current yoke, a regular CH Products USB yoke) since it now tends to stick, especially when operated single-handed during landing (the other hand is on the throttle). Can someone who has the newer Eclipse yoke tell how it performs when operated with only one hand? I am also interested in how the Saitek yoke fares but as far as I have found it is not much beter in this regard.I have tried to lubricate my current yoke (silicon spray) and even replaced the springs with rubber bands. However, I find that the real cause of the stickiness is because with only one hand, the shaft is pulled a little sideways.I have done some research on replacement yok…

Hello everyone! I just got the Saitek Pro Flight Cessna Trim Wheel from Amazon in the mail yesterday. I plugged it in via USB and it was immediately recognized by Windows. I tested it out and the properties menu showed that the wheel functioned as advertised. Here is where the problem sets it:I have the X52 Pro joystick from Saitek and the aileron input is controlled by the x-axis. The trim wheel is also controlled by the x-axis. Because of this, when I try to assign the elevator trim axis in FSX, it warns me that the elevator axis assignment will replace the aileron axis assignment because both the trim wheel and the joystick use the x-axis. This essentially render…

Looking at the hardware surrounding me for simulators i see two sets:For my racekick i use the Logitech G27. For my Flightkick i use the Saitek proflight yoke, rudders and two extra throttle quadrants.Let's look at the price. I have bought the logitech for 250 euro's. My whole saitek config costs me 300 euro's.When i compare Logitech build quality with Saitek i almost cry. How the hell on earth have i ever spent so much money on Saitek. My Logitech is a top notch quality build product. The rim has quaility leather and sturdy metal, the inside is neatly done with two very strong FFB engines. The pedals are from metal and as gimmick they also deliver a gearbox which has the …

Wrong forum probably .Please move if you want.A.I have developed over the last four months or so this very irritating problem with system interrupts.I use a program called process explorer that allows you to monitor these interrupts as a red graph. This graph on start up is usually low or non-existent ,however after some minutes (10-15 approx) this graph climbs until it is basically 100percent at this point the PC is just about unusable (mouse sticks lags, typing characters in a forum for instance results in delays before they are displayed etc etc etc )just dammed irritating.I have tried ALL suggestions to no avail.UNIN AND REIN hardware.updated all driversmade sure dri…
