Hello captains, I plan to buy an MCP module. However, I am wondering that can I use an MCP module with any aircraft. I fly with Realair Turbine Duke for now, as I am a learner. When I feel ready, I will fly with heavies, so I need MCP for now, to set heading bugs etc. Would that be possible ? Or MPC modules for only boeing and aircraft addons ? Cheers.

have read through the FSUIPC tutorial and I am trying to set my two throttle quadrants. when I do the joystick calibration I pull my throttle back to detent but the number is like -16300 and reverse thrust is like -1638 and full throttle is a positive number but when I go into the VC the reverse thrust does not engage and also when I push forward engines 1, 2 and 3 they move forward but when I push 4 it moves backwards. Can you help me with this issue. I am trying to set up profiles for FSX. Thank you.

  4. Hey guysSo, Saitek pedals are a more expensive than the good old CH Products pedals here in Brazil. Let me ask you, which one you think is better, based on how it feels compared to a real life pedal, and build quality. People seem to like Saitek nowadays, but I don't like the build quality of their Yoke, but I never tried the pedals. CH I know is considered top qualityThanks

  5. Hey gang,I recently purchased the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System (as well as the rudder pedels) to use with flight. It actually took a while (still working on it) getting used to using a yoke vice a flight stick. One thing that bothered me was the dead zone. Not sure if it's an issue with a lot of these, but I found that only for pitching the nose up (pulling back on the yoke) there was about an inch of play before it engaged. Nose down was actually engaged by something like a micron. Not noticeable in game. I went through setting after setting, trying to figure out where this dead zone was coming from. After a lot of messing around, I decided to open up my yoke and s…

  6. I have a few of the Saitek hardware...but there are only two Saitkek hw that is giving me grief.1) When I have the Saitek Switch Panel hooked to my PC, it would not boot. The freezes at the initial phase when its trying to load all the USBs. So I have to unhook the Saitek switch panel to boot and after I am in Windows I can plug the thing in. It took me a while to figure out the offedning USB device. The cultrpit was the Saitek Switch PanelHow do I get rid the driver that is being used by the switch panel and where do I get the new driver for this device? and how would I reinstall the driver for this gadget?2) The Saitek Cessna Trim wheel. I can't get this calibrated fo…

Can anyone tell me when I calibrate this yoke there are (4) four actions. The one I don't understand is the "Z " rotation, what is it for and how do I calibrate it? I can't find anything that activates it.

Hi I just purchased a new computer with Windows 7 64 bit. Now I guess I have to purchase a new joystick because my old Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback 2 is not compatible with Windows 7. Windows 7 did install drivers for the Sidewinder but it won't allow me to install from the CD. Since I can't install from the CD, I cannot record any actions that I want my joystick to perform. Do any of you have a recommended joystick that will perform everything that my SideWinder will do and doesn't cost too much?Ken.

  9. Hi everyone,I am using a PFC Cirrus II console for about 3 years now and suddenly tonight the aileron and elevator doesn’t seems to communicate with FSX. I am able to run the PFC start up test with success and I am also able to run, from the add-on menu in FSX the setting utility. From there I can calibrate and adjust both the elevator and the aileron, they both work perfectly. But when I go back to FSX and move the yoke, it is like FSX doesn’t know that they are there. But the rest of the button and the rudder work’s perfectly. It is like if both the aileron and elevator are disabled.I have tried deleting the PFCFSX config file and I restarted FSX with no success. I a…

  10. As I climb the learning curve of my new TrackIR 5, I've run into the following annoyance:I start-up the TrackIR v5 software (latest version). I launch FSX. TrackIR works as advertised with FSX. I end FSX. At this point there is no longer a TrackIR icon on my TaskBar. When I try to re-open the TrackIR software, I get a pop-up message box stating "Another instance of the TrackIR software is already running."Re-booting is one way to re-open the software, but certainly not an acceptable way in the long run. I discovered that although Task Manager does not list TrackIR as a running (i.e. open) program after I exit FSX, by selecting the "Processes" tab in Task Manager and…

Hey guys, this is in regards to reverse thrust. As of now my Saitek throttles are set up to do reverse thrust by the use of the button when the lever is fully pulled back. (Ex. Throttle pulled back and pressing button, under button assignments of FSUIPC (Throttle 1 Decrease) Repeat when held is ticked) (When button is released "Throttle 1 Cut")My question, is there a way to gradually reduce reverse thrust back to idle, rather than how it performs right now (The revesers stow too fast and end up generating forward thrust)? Maybe when the button is released it could command idle reverse, then go to Idle? I asked this question over at FSUIPC forums and Pete told me to create…

HI allI have been using CH yoke and pedals for a few years with little problem. I now am using them with fs9 and Windows 7 64.When I taxi or on takoff roll, the differential brake on either side will engage when steering using the rudder. I have tried in fs settings to increase the null zone and change sensitivity settings with no success.I then disabled joystick in fs and thought I would set my CH devices up in FSUIPC. I have followed the FSUIPC manual and Simsamuri tutorial for setup of CH products as best I can with the same results. Still when rolling on the ground I push either rudder pedal, a differential brake will engage causing the plane to swerve.Anyone got a se…

  13. I've used ch yoke and pedals for years. Now have windows 7 and they still are going strong. I calibrate with ch control manager. Now I have ch throttle quad. It is recognized in windows and works there. When I re-install ch control manager the quad shows on the cm list but doesn't function at all in cm test calibrate, in windows, or fsx. I've tried ch cm rescan many times. If anybody knows how to make this work I am really anxious to try this thing out.Eric

  14. Hello simmers,I have a question about controlling the throttle in FSX. Thank you in advance.I own a hardware throttle (The one on Saitek Cybrog X). When disconnecting the autopilot during flight, the actual throttle position in FSX is different from my hardware throttle. As a result, there'll be a sudden thrust change during approach, when I have to disengage the A/T. Making maintain a stable approach speed very difficult.Another instance is when the A/T mode changes into ARM after pressing TO/GA (Wilco 737 Evolution), the thrust reduces to that indicated by my hardware throttle as the hardware throttle doesn't actually move with that one in VC during TO/GA process. This i…

Am I able to set each throttle quadrant up for different personalizations? right now I have one for flaps, then I have four for throttle and then one gear. Am I able to then set up a preference for lets say a 2 engine aircraft or do I have to go into fsx settings each time and change it?

It' almost unbelievable but after all these years MS Flight finally made me decide it's time to get some rudder pedals... I have my eyes set on the Saitek rudders, but before I order it I'd like to be sure that the Combat version is the one to go for, right...? The (nowadays cheaper) 'normal' (without Combat) rudder isn't as good, right? From what I have read I understand one of the advantages is the fact that you can keep your feet on the ground, so only the top of your foot is on the pedal, while others need your whole foot te be on the pedals. It's quite pricey hardware, I have to say (for something that seems so simple) but the rudder on my Logitech joystick just doesn…

hey, i am seriously considering buying the vrinsight m panel, it looks pretty good and it isnt that expensive. i have read many good things about it on a couple of FS fourms, but a couple of people did say that they were having trouble with it whilst using PMDG products. my main question would be will it work with the PMDG products?? i use the 747 and am planning to buy the MD-11 and 737 (all FSX) when it is released. any comments, advice, experiences greatly appreciated :DPhilip

Hi.After 5 1/2 years of happily using my Saitek X52 joystick (with throttle quadrant), over the last week I've realised that the joystick isn't as stiff as it used to be. Even though it still works I am finding that it is making flying harder and I miss the stiffness that the X52 had.I could try and fix it, however, I wouldn't know where to start and because of it's age I think it's time for a replacement. The question is, should I just replace it with another X52, as I have been very happy with it until now, or should I go for the X52 Pro instead? Ignoring price what would I gain buying the X52 Pro?Out of curiosity, what mechanism gives the X52 it's stiffness? Is it th…

Greetings...I have a question regarding the dead space I have when using FSX.With different controllers I have used, I always have a very large null zone/dead space at the endsof both the elevator and aileron axis.I would say that on my new saitek cessna yoke which has 180 degree radius, only about 100-120 degrees (just estimating) are actually usable. When I fly FS9, which is what I use normally, the dead space is only 5 percent maybe, which sounds O.K. to me.I am wondering is this a flaw in FSX or something with my settings?I couldn't find anything in the search.I know a lot of people use FSUIPC, but I'm not interested in getting it.Thanks a lot for reading!KC.

Hi,I had purchased combo of Pro Flight Yoke and Throttle Quadrant about an year ago. I had not installed throttle quadrant then. I have been using only yoke. Now I am trying to install throttle quadrant as well. After plugging in, I am able to control the throttle in the fsx and fs9 with the black lever on the left. The other two levers are dummy. When I try to calibrate, the throttle quadrant is not visible in the drop down options in the calibration page of the game.I tried to re install the drivers. When I do that, it is asking me to plug in the quadrant though it is very well plugged in.Please advise.Regards,Ramana

Unsure whether this is the wrong section so apologies if that is the case. I hope someone can help with this issue. I have recently purchased a set of Sennheiser headphones and while the quality is excellent, the volume is very low. I have the volume at maximum elsewhere in Windows and the sound CP. The only way I can get any volume which is of any use at all is to push all the volume sliders up high in the FSX CP, but when I do that the cockpit, engine and ambient sound simply overwhelms the ATC. It's extremely frustrating. So I guess my question is, is there any way I can increase the ATC volume, outside of the CP? Thanks guys...

  25. I've used my CH yoke since 2000 in FS2000, FS2002, FS2004 and FSX for countless hours, and it is still working perfectly. I think I paid $125 for it, and I'm very happy. My CH Pedals lasted 11 years. No complaints! :good:
