Hey Guys, I was flying last night from Gatwick to Naples and all was fine. Then this morning I went to fly from Atlanta to DFW and when taxiing out I found that I had a problem with my brakes. Turns out that my right brake is stuck on. I checked the pedals and opened them up and it seems to still be free-moving and doesn't feel any different from before. Trouble is that in the configuration panels no matter what I do it still shows the right brake stuck on. I have the latest drivers for the pedals but it seems it's not wanting to work. Any suggestions?

I am in the market to add a CDU to my home system. I am looking for some practical experience and wondering s which pathway do I take? All of my hardware is all GoFlight (listed in the signature) but I would slowly like to replace with something more realistic. I would like Boeing style, fully assembled, backlit and easily interfaced - I don't want to spend weeks configuring it. It should also be robust 737-747-767-767-777 I know there are differences but the actual CDU is software controlled. The way I see it my choices are: OpenCockpits - least expensive (by A LOT) but no backlighting FlightDeck Solutions - Nice quality, I have met Peter. Not keen on the incadesce…

  4. I recently purchased a Saitek Cessna Pro yoke/throttle setup and combined that with a set of Simped F-16 rudder pedals/toe brakes. In order for the rudder/toe-brakes to be used I plugged into my Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar via a 15 pin gameport on the joystick base. In an effort to reduce clutter I installed an older soundcard that had a 15 pin gameport and attached the Simped rudder to that, the rudder works fine and is recognized via FSUIPC but I cannot get FSUIPC to recognize the toe-brake axis. Funny thing is that FSX does not recognize the rudder axis in the contoller page. Would a gameport to USB adapter (if available) be the best way to go or is there ano…

G'day I have been having lots and lots of problems to get my wilco Airbus to use twin throttles with my logitech G940 My throttle works with my Saitek pro flight on the one stick but i would like to have it work on my G940. I dont have problems with jets with 2,3 or 4 engines PMDG, Level-D only the Wilco Airbus and its been a real turn off with me not wanting to fly it. I can change it over to my G940 only after deleting my twin setup so all my othere planes will run with 1 stick only. IS there a way i can fix this or a work around to get it to work ? Regards Darryl

I've recently built a new system featuring new *everything*, including flight controls. I've chosen the Saitek Yoke & PZ35 rudder pedals, along with a CH throttle quadrant (due to having 6 levers). With a total of 9 levers between the two quadrants I figure I'm set to fly just about anything. After attempting to research and determine the level of satisfaction on this board (and others) with the various components, I'm still not sure what the consensus is. Seems like most people prefer the Saitek parts, though there are some downsides particularly with the yoke center detent. Can anyone offer some feedback on these parts, or any reason why I should not use them? …

  8. There was a short circuit in my iMac recently and as a result the motherboard died. I've replaced it but now it appears that the yoke is also dead (the device that caused the short circuit was connected to the USB port of the yoke at that time). This motherboard cost me a fortune already and I won't be able to replace the yoke any time soon so I was wondering if it is repairable at all or is it the kind of product that once damaged it's damaged? The throttle and the pedals work though. What kind of a geek could possibly be able to examine it? Your advise highly appreciated!

I recently bought Pro Flight Rudder Pedals (alongside Yoke and TQ). Until now I was always under impression that rudder pedals are used all the time during flight (you know - to keep "the ball" centered) but now I don't know if this is the problem with my setup, it's just a FSX thing or what. For me it's almost impossible to do that (coordinated flight thing) because even small movements on the pedals make the ball jump left or right like crazy. On the ground while taxiing rudder pedals work as I expected, so I think my calibration (I used FSUIPC and followed a guide) is just fine. Do I just need more practice, is this a FSX thing, is this the way it is in real life or i…

  10. This sucks! About two weeks ago I lost my old X-52. It finally just died on me. I wasn't real upset though because my birthday is coming up and, thanks to my lovely wife, there's a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog sitting in the box at her office waiting for my birthday. But tonight, I just lost my Saitek yoke/throttles. Well technically it's just the throttles that quit working, but still! Anyway - sure I could just by another Saitek throttle, but before I do that I'm kind of curious if there's anything else out there I should look at. I've used it for 4 years or so. I was happy with it, but I know it's not the best piece of the hardware in the world. Any suggestions…

  11. I uses PMDG 747-400 and have the Saitek Switch Panel with Landing Gear and the Saitek Radios Panel: Here is what works: Radio Panel - Full Functionality Switch Panel - Landing Gear up and down with lights on the panel works, Panel lights switch, although you need to switch it up and down several times to light it all up, first switch is just the knobs, second time will do backlight, 3rd time will do overhead, 4th time will do more cockpit lights (all on). Landing Lights Switch, full functionality. I can't seem to get anything else working, maybe you can?

A very strange effect with my SaitekX35T/X36F USB joystick/throttle. After about 10-15 minutes of use it develops a 2-3 second time lag between moving an axis and the signal getting through to the sim. This is also confirmed by watching the axis movements in the Control Panel Game Controller window. The associated Saitek rudder pedals work correctly throughout. Behaviour returns to normal if I unplug and reconnect the joystick/throttle USB connector. Anyone ever seen this? Any ideas? Windows XP 32 bit. -- Bryn

  14. Here is my build for having my Flight stick mounted onto my chair. This all cost me about $10 and everything can be gotten at Lowes or Home Depot electrical and hardware departments. By using the thumb screw underneath the char it is very easy to remove and put aside. You can cut the 90DEG elbow for the height and forward positions but in my case I didn't have to. I use Velcro to mount the stick unto the 4" electrical box. I will be painting everything black soon. Parts 2 - 4" SQ Box 2 - 1/2" conduit connectors 1 - 4" square cover 1 - 1/4 by 1.25 inch bolt 1 - 1/4 nut 1 - 1/4" bar knob 1 - 1/2" 90 DEG elbow 1 pack of 4" by 2" …

Hey all, first post here, enjoying all of the info on the forum, looks like I have some reading to do! I picked up a Saitek X52 stick and throttle (not pro) at my local thrift store for a mere $18 a few days ago . It is in great shape (looks like new and in the box) although I have some concerns and was hoping some fellow X52 users could chime in. So, Naturally I headed straight to the Saitek website for the latest drivers (I have Windows 7 64bit by the way). After installing the drivers and programming software I see that I have driver version 6.0.4.1. Windows 7 update then alerted me to the fact that a newer driver was available, 6.2.2.4 I believe. …

I currently use a Saitek X52 with FSX, but a friend recently gave me a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and Throttle Quadrant he no longer used. I'm reluctant to try it out because I don't want to mess up my X52 settings in FSX's Settings - Controls My question :- If I plug in the Saitek Yoke and set up the buttons and switches in FSX's Settings - Controls, then later reconnect the X52 will the X52's settings be screwed up or are they saved depending on which hardware controller is used.

  17. Hi I have a Saitek pro flight wheel and throttle box set up and a Logitech very basic joystick. Recently when using the stick my aircraft would steer very well on the ground and when I got it of the deck it would roll right and and would refuse to trim out. I thought it might be the stick as it was quite old and I was to tight to buy a new one. Now the Saitek wheel is doing the same thing. I had a look in the cailibrate bit and sure enough is was biased to one side. I did a calibration on it and it came good. Next time I fired up FSX it did the same thing again and does it every time I restart the sim. Any help would be most appreciated and will probably stop me h…

Has anyone on this forum ever replaced the aileron (roll) Pot on a Saab (COLUMN) yoke. I believe it is different in design than the desktop model and looks like it's a lot more complicated to replace it. I took Word Not Allowed's advise and emailed PFC and they replied back with the following: "Hello! Because the potentiometers used on the column yoke are sealed the cleaner may not help the problem. You may try to spray some on it anyway to see if you get results. The potentiometer for the aileron is located on the opposite side of the yoke. You can access this be removing the dome cover of the column or if you need more space, you can remove the back half of the co…

  19. Hi, I've been searching around but haven't really been able to answer my question: What's the best way (assuming there IS one) to build a small generic continuous rotary control? Basically, as noted, it's for rotating things like the OBS or indicators on an HSI... stuff like that. Like the real wold units, they need to be able to be rotated continuously in either direction. Also - using SPAD to get the Saitek radios undercontrol is working so far; is this the same type of solution I might use for the dials? thanks, Andrew

  23. After a rather lengthy telephone call up to Oregon (USA) speaking with GoFlight tech support, I was disappointed to learn that GF does not directly support PMDG aircraft AT ALL. GF was trying to suggest that using the iFly 737NG would be a better 'fix' for using the GoFlight MCP Boeing-type panel - but I am loyal to the NGX by PMDG.That said, I am confronted with now revisiting my initial plans about cockpit hardware and reconsidering VRInsight Combo II MCP. Question #1 is: Does the VRI unit come with all the buttons & button labels "pre-installed" onto the device or does the end-user (ME) have to install buttons and/or glue button decals onto the VRI unit? This wil…

Anyone tried or heard of this? Its a ~$400 AUD yoke full metal with buttons. Sold out at the momenthttp://www.gsproduto...oke737usb.shtmlHeres what I got from Google translate -- " With nearly nine thousand hours of actual flying and about a thousand hours in virtual flights (flight from FS + / - 1992), I can say that the GS 737 Yoke USB is undoubtedly superior to the three Americans who have been part of my shopping list . curves, climbs and descents are solid, showing an excellent stability in the lateral and longitudinal axes. The trim is perfect, nothing should a transport aircraft. Undoubtedly, the GS 737 is a true yoke training platform for those who want t…
