Good day, Sorry to bring up this issue again but the problem I am having is not in other topics, at least non that I can find, and the Saitek forum is down. I have installed my recently purchased T/Q and assigned all in FSX no problems. The thrust reverser behind the detent on the throttle lever was made to work correctly by assigning it to the "decrease throttle quickly " and then moving the slider all the way to the right. However in FS9 there is no "slider" for this assignment!!!! so can someone out there please advise me how to make that switch behind the detent keep "repeating" until I go back out of the detent. I dont have a copy of FSUIPC Thanks

I have an ok system, Intel® TM i7 CPU 930 @2.8GHZ and a Nvidea 480 graphics card. I have been really bad at noticeing that I have been using a miserable amout of memory in the system properties. Only 6GB is installed. So I have ordered more memory with good advice from the makers of my PC, as they know the machine well. I was wondering what will improve in FSX when I do this? I fly the PMDGNGX, have active Sky 2012, and the addon scenery. As you can imagine it is a lot to load up. I use UK scenery and I am hoping this will flash less often. Or maybe there is a way of loading into memory more. It is very slow to load up at the moment. I don't expect the …

Hello every one, Today I took a dive in the unknown... At least, that is my impression after my latest investment into FS. I bought the new B737_fmc version 3 from Open Cockpits. Unpacking and connecting to my computer was easy enough. But this piece of hardware is not even close to plug and play. So out with the manual.... euh, what manual... there is no manual in the box. (although the fmc comes complete with all cables and connections so I am not complaining) And then there is the internet. Found what I was looking for and I started reading, reading again,... and again.... and a fourth time.... Daunting is the word and now I am stuck. Not in the least bec…

Hey there! I got a problem with my Saitek X52 Pro and I would like to know if somebody else has had a similar problem and eventually has an solution. I am using Windows XP 32-bit on a bootcamp partition on my Macbook Pro, I had to remove Windows XP the other day, back in the days everything worked like charme, no bumbs, no bangs, no shattering nor anything at all, everything worked like a well maintained swiss watch. Well, I reinstalled Win XP the other day and wanted to config my X52 Pro again so I could go for a ride in FSX again, BUT I the Profileeditor from Smart Technology (which is the newest version, downloaded via the Saitek homepage) does not work, at the…

Need some clarification. Am using CH Flight Sim Yoke USB for FS4 and FSX. Works fine when flying however I am constantly (it seems) having to re-calibrate. Mostly this occurrs when opening either program (though not always). Often happens when the program has been open awhile, but not used. Recently saw something in the forum about use of CH Control Manager that seemed to say Manager should be used for calibration, not Windows. Currently Manager is not loaded. Any info or advice greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am interested in purchasing some of the PFC hardware...like the yoke and throttle assembly (737). However the shipping from the US is prohibatively expensive; to the point it's actually cheaper for me to fly to the US and pick them up. Is there another option for us Europeans? I am aware there is a Spanish dealer, but they are upto £300 more expensive on the actual devices. Thanks

I have a CH Fighterstick USB. I have all the buttons setup in FSX using the FSX controls setup. All work well. I would like to use one of my buttons to send the keystroke "1" so I can answer ATC without having to use the mouse or the keypad. I don't see any way to do it as the ATC keystrokes are not in the FSX Controls setup. I have the registered FSUIPC4 but don't understand how to use it for joystick setup. Can anyone please tell me what I have to do, in detail, to accomplish this, if it possible? Thanks, regards, Bob.

I have the the Saitek Pro Yoke and Rudder Pedals. I can download a profile for FSX, but I'm not sure what it does, how it works? Does it over-ride my FSX controller settings? Or do I need to set up both independently. I guess I don't quite know what each does and how they interact together.

Want to know if anyone is using any of the hardware from this company in FSX? Looks really good for those like me who have no clue how to build this stuff but are willing to just purchase it already built. http://www.jetmax.ca/packages/ Very tempted to buy some of it. The JetMax-737SKTQ package is a lot of money but for those that only have a spare bedroom to flight sim in, this sure looks really nice to have. I am wondering how it would interface with the NGX in VC mode and how would you get the PFD/ND data to show on the harware?

A very simple question... Is there a reseller that distributes the hardware of flightdeck solutions? I am interested in the fmc but, being produced in Canada, I am afraid that both shipping and taxes will push the price up significantly. Luc Brusselmans Belgium

I have just purchased a ch yoke, and I am actually quite impressed by it. Despite its age, its much better than its Saitek equivalent, and actually adds to the flying experience instead of taking away from it. There is just one thing bothering me- the harsh friction in the plastic yoke, more the sound than sticking. After reading through the forums, I just purchased a can of Dupont Teflon Silicone spray. However, I checked that it does contain petroleum distillates, so is it safe to use on plastics like the yoke shaft? I would like this yoke to last many years and not develop any looseness in the the plastic bushings. Is anyone using this product on their CH yoke fo…

Hi Guys, I need to buy a new joystick to use in FSX and other flight sims but i am having a very bad time in deciding which one to get. I thought about the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog but it is too expensive (400 euros) and its really a perfect match for the A10 warthog. I like flying with FSX planes so i was thinking about the Saitek X52 pro since its plug and play in fsx and cheaper at 190 euros. I need a joystick which could be used as an all rounder too and i also believe future expansions are more available with saitek gear. The saitek x52 pro also has an MFD display on the thrust control unit: - How useful is this? - Is it really important in FSX? - Ca…

Hello, First -- my apologies. I am sure I'm doing this wrong (posting in the wrong place, asking the wrong question, not giving enough information, etc). But any assistance is appreciated. I am new to MS Flight Simulator. I recently bought the MS Flight Simulator X, plus a Saitek AV8R-01 stick, Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals, and a Flight Link Collective. I understand there are setting on the computer and also within the FSX software for these devices, and I've worked on getting them set, but I cannot get it right. I've flown gliders in the past, so I have some basic understanding of how the control surfaces on a regular plane work. I have never flown a hel…

Every time I do a landing and I have to use the pedals to keep the aircraft straight on the runway I end up zig zagging madly from one side of the runway to the other. The Saitek pedals I have cannot be controlled just slightly in either direction and after a good flight and approach it is a real dissapointment (goddness knows what the passengers think!!!). Does anyone have any ideas what I might need to do to correct this please? (apart from chucking them out the window)

Hi, I just saw a picture on Facebook of a Jetmax unit purchased by a customer. To the side, there was a sized-down 737 overhead panel. Does anyone know of any overheads that are smaller than the actual ones?

Hi, I am having a hard time controlling the Dodosim 206 for FSX especially in holding a steady altidude, even at the level 1 easiest setting. I have a generic joystick with the normal spring auto-centering. I am reading all over that the best joystick for copters is one that does not have spring tension and auto - centering. Sure enough, I get close to maintaining a level configuration but as soon as I try to adjust even slightly, I fight the spring tension and it starts drastic movements that are hard to get back to normal. I can see how not having the annoying centering would make things a lot easier. Can anyone recommend a reasonable priced joystick that has less…

Hello, I have been using a joystick with my sim but I would like to switch to a yoke / pedals / throttle set up. The PMDG 737 is the only aircraft that I use on my sim so I would like to get some opinions on which yokes are best for the PMDG? Thank you!

Hi I am trying to set up my CH yoke, in particular trying to see if i can configure it so one of the levers could be used to activate reverse thrust rather than F2. I have got a registered version if FSUIPC. Searched a number of sites looking for answers but no luck. Thanks for reading. Cheers Shaun

Hello, I have a problem with the GF-TQ6 ADV  1 - I've installed GFconfigSetup2.22 then Goflight PMDG interface 2 - then I've launched GFConfig, configured GF-TQ6 ADV and saved in the defaultFSX.cfg 3 - finally, I run FSX and Goflight interface and I see in "status" : TQ6=n/a and the green light blink for PMDG In the cockpit, only the throttle seems to work. Spoilers, reverse and flaps do not work ...! please, can you help me ? thank you.

This is a problem I have had for a long time. I am using a CH yoke, CH rudder pedals, and CH throttle quadrant. The problem is that the controls are always twitching and jumping. Doesn't matter if the engines are running or not. They twitch at different times, in other words not all at once. One time it may be the throttles (particularly the left one) or the mixture, or ailerons, etc. No set pattern. I have everything calibrated through FSUIPC and all controls work ok and don't cause any problems. It's just kind of irritating seeing the things jumping. Also, when the flight controls are twitching I can go outside and the flight control surfaces are following s…

I know its a jepp thing and i probably need the software which also probably wouldnt work anyway. I am desperate for some light on this. There has to be a way of getting it to work!
