  2. I just installed the new 767 / 757 throttles by Throttletek for FSX. They look and feel great. It really adds to the realism. Set up easy. The reversers and speed brake work great and are such a great addon. The flaps have the gates you need to move through (like in real life). It has engine fuel cuttoff switches and A/T disconnect button as well. All is done through FSUIPC. This is great for the LD767 and the upcoming LD-757. It also works great on the PDMG 737 NGX and I am sure it'll be perfect for the PDMG 777. Finally there is a company that make affordable realistic throttles. See the photo. http://i1111.photobucket.com/albums/h475/googles7/767th…

  3. I know this is going to sound lame but I have a new B737 Engine/APU Fire Control panel. The panel has a number of switches and LEDs. Each component has 3 lugs. I'm wiring the panel components to a master I/O control card which has sets of pins for Inputs and Outputs. Each set has a common (or ground) wire. My question - how do you connect wires from the components to the board. Which (switch/LED) terminal is ground, do you use all three lugs, or do you just use one lug plus the "ground" lug, etc. I've looked on the Internet but cannot find any info for wiring these types of components. Can someone please help. Thanks Frank

Hi All: The situation: I have the Saitek ProFlight Yoke AND the Saitek AV8R joystick. The stick is connected into the Yoke USB port. I do not have the Saitek rudder/brake pedals. The joystick has a twist axis which when used will turn the nose gear. The Yoke does not of course have this function for which you need the pedals to accomplish this. The question: Does FSUIPC allow the combining of 2 different axis's (specifically aileron & rudder) so that I can get the nose gear to turn when the rudder or aileron is called? Thanks Chris

  7. I own the VRInsight EFIS/MCP/COM and have, forever, had a problem with the values jumping when I turn the knobs. Has anyone gotten it to work right? I use LINDA and FSUIPC and do love the fact that there it is supported by LINDA. Is this just something you have to accept with this hardware? Does anyone use it that doesn't have that problem? I had my board replaced for a power problem months back and hoped that the issue would have been resolved but it's the same...jumping values when I turn the knobs. Gregg

  8. Started by hightower,

Hi All: Bought a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke a month ago. Have been using it with the TQ with out a problem. Like it a lot. I thought if one throttle quadrant is good, two ought to be better. So far, I'm not convinced. I have spent about 8 hours so far reading my FSUIPC documentation (registered copy) and a tutorial on how to program different levers (axis) for a two engine aircraft. I have not been successful in being able to assign an individual engine to a specific lever on the TQ. No problem in assigning a single lever to operate BOTH engines. I would like to assign separate levers (2) for individual engines. I know this is a labor intensive task trying to give ins…

I have a CH Products Flight Sim Yoke, Fighterstick and Pro Throttle. Would you leave both of your controllers plugged in? Or is it better to avoid potential conflicts and unplug the controller you are not using at the moment. I do use the paid version of FSPUIC for controller set ups and calibrations. Thanks!

  11. The standard buttons/keys assignments that are supposed to be made when Acceleration is installed didn't happen on my installation. I uninstalled and reinstalled and no joy. Can someone point me to the proper place to manually enter those assignments so they will be there permamently, please? At present, I have to reassign them every time I want to fly Acceleration missions which is particularly annoying in flying Cariier Ops. Thanks! dewey

  16. This is my and my friend's Zoran contribution to flight sim community ! many times I read about various hardware that you can buy for for your flight sim that costs thousands of dollars LITTERALLY. ALL this CAN BE BUILT FOR LESS THAN 50 US DOLLARS INCLUDING MECHANICS AND ELECTRONICS and final product is very close or in some segment better that that overpriced controls that you can buy. Every man with average mechanican works ekill and with very basic electrical experience can build this. many part are those that you can find in your backyard like old horisontal case for pc , water hitter pipes, bike rubber grips, pipes from old washing mashine etc. This is …

I've had a Warthog for some time but stuck with my much loved HOTAS COUGAR until it broke last week. So having pensioned my Trusty thrusty off I dug out my unused Warthog that I bought some time ago and had been keeping for such a situation. Here is my question: I want to apply FSX reverse thrust when I lift the throttles over the low detent to the Cut-off position but I don't know of any event name for this. I know of the IDLERON & IDLELON flags available but they come on in the idle position before the throttle are lifted over to the cut-off position. Anyone got any ideas please?

  18. I use today the G940 from logitech with my desktop, but the throttles spikes some times and it plasty. Now I want to get the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog Flightstick... and use it with my PMDG 737NGX and Ifly. I personaly think I will get a better feel for the aircraft because of the controlls are crafted from metal and also very high quality and precision controlls, the only minus Is I have to buy a separate rudder, its a bit unrealistic to use the stick as rudder. Anyone with this stick ? Is there worth the change? I still can get probably 100 euros for my G940 to get the extra rudder. TY MB

  19. I have a serial Precision Fight Control PI-142 which all the sudden stopped working. I took it apart and found a burned diode in the hardware controller board but I cant tell what kind it is. I've spoken many times with the PFC folks but they refuse to help me or give me any schematics because the hardware reached its end of life. I really want to fix this console since it cost 15k. Can anyone here help me with this?

  20. Hello everybody, I hope you can help me with a problem. Since a while I use the mcp & efis from opencockpits with the PMDG 737NGX. Today I bought the FMC from opencockpits, and downloaded RKsoftware to let it run. The FMC runs fine, however, the MCP and EFIS are useless. The EFIS isn't functioning at all, and the MCP shows wrong digits, and when pressing a button on the mcp, it is pressing a different button on the MCP on FSX. I think there is a problem with the scripts, but I cant figure out what it is. I'm running the ''OCP4NGX_MCP-EFIS-CDU v1.05.ssi'' by the way. Thanks in advance! Niels

I'm expecting my Saitek throttle to arrive soon, and was wondering if it is possible to use it through the client pc, perhaps utilizing fsuipc? I dont anticipate any problems connecting it to my main FSX pc, but it's a laptop and I like to keep as much as I can relegated to the client PC. Am now running FSWidgets' EFB and squawkbox on the client, so I have lots of resources left. Any suggestions? Thanks. JW

  22. Started by molleh,

I have a fairly simple question.. is it possible to use two USB Saitek throttle quadrants together with FSX? The reason I'm asking is that I've seen a lot of posts, photos etc where people used the PS/2 one (that comes with the Pro Flight yoke) as well as an additional USB one, but I haven't seen anything about two "stand alone" USB units. Thank you in advance!

  23. After years of happily using the Thrustmaster HOTAS when flying Airbus aircraft in FSX it suddenly developed a mind of its own. When controlling the pitch using the stick the throttles move in unison with the elevator axis. When you ease back on the sick to rotate, the throttle comes back as well and if back pressure is maintained long enough, throttle reaches idle then the reversers are deployed. (Not great for take off!!!) All axis are set properly in the Controls menu. When all axis assignments are deleted, imput via sideways movement of the stick (ailerons) and theHOTAS throttle do nothing as expected, but moving the stick forwards or back still moves the elevators an…

I am using a GF TQ6 throttle but one of the pots have gone out and I was looking at seeing if there are any other companies out there making them right now. I have used the Go Flight one for years with no complaints but before I go and drop $400 on another one I just kind of want to shop around. Any suggestions are very welcome. Thanks.
