NO, I already know how to program these things...been there, done that, got the T-shirt. But last night the right toe brake stopped functioning, completely. All of my controls go through FSUIPC, so I went there immediately to see if I could fix it. I am getting NO output from the right brake. Went to the FSX controls - same there, nothing. And so I figure the right brake control is broken. Is there anyone out there who has repaired something like this? I have no problems taking the thing apart and fixing it, but I want to know if: 1) it's possible to fix it myself, and 2) if so, how. Anyone know what's inside one of these things?

Is there a distributor in Europe for PFC yokes? Getting them to the UK from the US is ridiculously expensive. Has anyone in the UK ordered one? Thanks Eric

G'day Last week I got a new throttle quadrant pz45 to go with my Saitek pro flight yoke system that has a throttle quadrant as well. And today I made my centre console and fitted the 2 quadrants and now im getting lots of problems with FSX thinking the 2nd quadrant is a yoke. When I move the levers up and down the yoke in the plane will move. So I deleted the settings shut down FSX and start it back up and the same settings are back again. I ended up installing the Saitek software to see if this would fix my problems and it didn't so I removed that as well. I also deleted the control.xml to have FSX make a new one yet and im still getting all the same kind of prob…

  4. Hey there, I'm looking to add a Trim unit onto the VRinsight flight master yoke. Would anyone be kind enough to point me to where I might potentially find a separate trim tab unit to buy? Much appreciated

Hi. I was just wondering if most people are running their tension on the CH Yoke with the stock spring setup or using a custom tensioning method. Thanks, Jeff

Hello All, I have recently been experiencing several issues regarding my CH Products Pro Pedals. I was first noticing that, on the ground and in the air, the aircraft was yawing to the left. I believe it started around the time I downloaded the Majestic Q400. Regardless, after I tried an FSX calibration to no avail, I downloaded the CH Control Panel. After trying to calibrate with it, however, my FSX wouldn't recognize the pedals as being inserted (wouldn't show up when assigning, wouldn't move the pedals, etc...). I uninstalled the manager, and the pedals worked, however they still yaw to the left constantly and every so often when taxiing the brakes apply, mak…

  9. Dear All, I'm considering a massive yoke upgrade. Looking at the PF Cirrus Saab Yoke or GF-Pro Yoke System. I mostly fly the NGX and soon the Majestic Dash 8 Q400 on Prepar3D. Any insight or thoughts ? So far I only came across the excellent Word Not Allowed's review of the PF yoke. The GoFlight one is rather new to the market. Thanks in advance

Hi I just purchased the Logitech Extreme 3D and I wanted to get your thoughts on it for those that have it. First of all, I have the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2, which I really prefer, but it's not compatible with Windows 7 64 bit systems. The MS Sidewinder works fine but the problem is that I cannot use any of the programmable features. I purchased the Logitech Extreme 3D from Best Buy because I figured I would be able to use the programmable features and it would be compatible with Windows 7. The thing I don't like about the Logitech is that it has the return to center force, which I don't like, and I noticed that when I bearly twist the joystick without put…

I don't know if this possible, but here goes. I would like to be able to assign a button on my TM HOTAS Warthog to the video capture hotkey in Fraps, trouble is I don't know how to achieve this. I did pose the question to Fraps support and this was their reply. "Thanks for your inquiry. At this time Fraps is only designed to allow the hotkeys to be set to standard keyboard keys and extended mouse buttons (like 3, 4, 5), it cannot be configured to trigger from a button on a joystick or joypad. We do not currently have any plans to add support for multiple audio capture hotkeys for recording an external input, however I will certainly pass your suggestion on to our…

I fly the PMDG 737-800 NGX in Flight Simulator X and I find it a hair pulling experience to have to move my cursor around to type in routes of 50 waypoints on that tiny FMC. Does anyone know of any hardware modules of FMS..or more accurately the CDU, preferably identical to that of the 737 I can buy and use? Or any alternative solution. I own FSUIPC. Note it needs to work with FSX and the PMDG 737 NGX! Any help is very much appreciated (:

Hi, I am looking to get this http://secure.simmarket.com/goflight-gf-mcp-advanced-autopilot-module.phtml For my PMDG NGX and other planes. The description says it is not compatible. Could anyone comment? Can this unit be controlled and assigned with FS commands via FSUIPC? I am also looking at these : http://secure.simmarket.com/goflight-gf-rp48-mouse.phtml http://secure.simmarket.com/goflight-gf-46-multi-mode-display-module.phtml or http://secure.simmarket.com/goflight-gf-t8-2-8-toggle-switchindicator-module.phtml It a sizeable chunk of changes. Anyone ever try to use 4 Saitek throttle units in a 4 engine setup. I have 2 and was thinking of purchasing 2 more, but can't figure how the heck you would mount them, so they would make some sense and be usable.

Hi, My old USB CH Throttle Quadrant does not have the 4 removable black throttle knobs as the never revisions have as a default. I wonder if it is possible to buy the black throttle knobs separately somewhere as a spare part? Please find picture attached.

  17. Hey everyone, first of all I made an account at CH-hangar to ask about this but I don't have posting priviledges yet for whatever reason, so I thought I would ask here. OK, so anyone who is familiar with CH products and their CH Manager software knows that it puts a "CH Control Manager Root Device" in your drivers that picks up any CH device that is plugged in and installs it as a generic HID device which the CH software can then work with. I have a CH fighterstick, pedals, TQ, and yoke. The problem is this. Recently after I flashed my motherboard BIOS to the latest version, as well as replacing the front USB port panel of my case, the CH Root Device is not picki…

Can someone tell me where the file is that sets the throws for the control surfaces? I think I need to edit the rudder throws since I replaced my joystick. I have tried endless combinations of null zone and sensitivity for rudder, but nothing has solved my problem. First, the system: Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 Acceleration Intel Core i7-w600K @ 3.40GHZ RAM 16 GB 64 bit system Controller: Thrustmaster xstick Flightstick (new) I can move the Z axis (twist the stick) as slowly as possible, but once it clears the null zone the rudder and the nosewheel (or steerable tailwheel) slams all the way over to the stops. It does that in either di…

My old Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is at the end of it's lifetime and makes me airsick on every ride. So I'm contemplating about a new stick. I was researching the market and am not quiet sure, what to buy. King of the hill seems to be the Thrustmaster Warthog Flight Stick. It has magnetic sensors (Hall Effect) which are way more precise than conventional potentiometers and live much longer. What I don't like is that you can't twist the stick for rudder input (dont want to have use pedals all the time) and the price is pretty steep too. And there is the X52 Pro Control System by Saitek. Here the stick also has Hall Sensors and it can be twisted. But it seems to be less accu…

Hello, I have a Saitek X52 Pro system that appears to have died (the throttle), but, the joystick, can still recieve power when plugged into the PS/2 port on the back of the computer. Of course it won't work this way as the computer doesn't recognize it, it needs to be paired with the throttle. I'm considering, a Saitek Pro Flight Cessna yoke as a replacement, but I'd still need a joystick for my A2A Piper cub. The Saitek yoke assembly has a PS/2 input for a throttle quadrant. I'm wondering, since my X52 Pro joystick still lights up, can it be plugged into the yoke and be recognized by SST software? The literature states that Saitek components can be plugged in, ment…

  23. Hi all, I have been trying to assign the 3 buttons on my Saitek Quadrant to use via fsuipc to toggle PMDG737 engine idle/cutoff lever but without success. After google search the closest method by manipulating the FSUIPC offsets for the fuel valves. (In the Buttons/Keys drop-down, assign to the "Offset Byte Bet" control, offset x3590 (for Engine 1) etc, Parameter 1 for "idle", 0 for "cutoff") But the above method doesn't seem to work with Saitek throttle Quadrant. If any Saitek Quadrant users have work out how to assign the buttons, please share. Regards.

Just curious with all the news about 3D printers was wondering if anybody tried to create a home cockpit panel using a 3D printer? That would be really cool!!! Plus, save a lot of time and material then building one. Thanks, Ray

Hi Guys Out of interest, has anybody ever tried to get 2 Saitek Backlit information panels working on the same sim setup? Was just thinking this tonight, how cool it would be to not have to choose tiles based on the aircraft, and just have 2 panels working at once, and I have access to 2 panels if I really really want to get a second to try it out, but wanted to ask first if anybody has tried it and had any success? Thanks
