Looks now my gcard upgrade plans now are indefinitely on hold; couldn't have imagined that when I bought my gtx 1070 that I'd be using for the next 5 years. Maybe by the time the 3080 ti is available, MSFS will have its stutter/hard pauses performance issues fixed (but I won't bet on that). BTW, no interest in the AMD gcards.

Hello, I read on the AMD drivers software that Anisotropic filtering, together with several other items only affect DirectX 9 applications. Therefore, should these settings not be used with P3d 5-1 or XP11-5 please? Best.... Phil

Has anyone who has enabled this in their BIOS noticed any performance gain in MSFS. With a 3700 GPU and a 5600x CPU, I think I can take advantage of this (or is support not available on Nvidia cards at the moment). When not flying I also use my PC for crypto mining. Not sure if ithis function will improve that too?

Hallo Does there is a difference for anti aliasing and shimmering with a 4K monitor or a QHD monitor? I am coming back to p3d (v5.1) and 2 years ago anti aliasing costs performance and fps and now I heard that with a 32 inch monitor 4K you don't need anti aliasing and you gain performance and frames... I just got my 3080 ROG, which I love, however, I am now doubting if I should have waited for the TI version...Why? Because of VRAM. I use about 9GB out of 10GB and I'm thinking that it's cutting it close with MSFS 2020. Do you guy think 10GB will be enough for now and the future? I'd love your thoughts. Thanks!

I just rebuilt, and did a clean Windows and P3D install. My hardware setup is the same and I switch between using a regular HD (1920x1080) monitor and a 55" 4K TV. I never really use them at the same time, as they're not quite next to each other. Before, I had some setting selected that allowed them to scale well and I could switch easily using Display Settings->Show Only on Display 1/2. The desktop would appear effectively the same, i.e. columns of 8 icons on the desktop, windows appearing about the same relative size. Now, when I do this the 4k TV appears double the size (i.e. columns of 4 icons, open windows occupy about double the space). I can set …

Not sure why but whenever I select MSAA in p3dv5, my FPS drops way down. I tried using MSAA because I thought it would put less of a load on my GPU, but it seems that I can only get away with 4X SSAA in daytime and 2X SSAA during the nighttime. Being that MSAA is lower quality anti aliasing, I would think this would result in a performance increase. Just curious as to why this happens. I am using a GTX 1070. Thanks

I have two GPS units (530 & 430) with HDMI in from RealSimGear, they are only fairly low resolution so it seems a waste to use a GPU output on each. I am running out of outputs and would need to buy a 2nd GPU soon. Maybe there is a solution (software/hardware) that takes a high res image / screen and then only pipes certain dimensions of the high res image to separate HDMI outputs? So the windows machine would just see a normal 1080p screen which you would drag GPS1 to the top of, and GPS2 to the bottom, then this solution would output the top half to HDMI1 output and the bottom half to HDMI2 output. There will be 32gb ddr4 4000 and 2x NvMe PCI4 plus some other SSDs. Mobo ASUS STRIX Formula or something similar. Anyone has seen any comparison of the 5900x/5950x vs the 10900k on p3d?
