Hi there,I am a newbie to FS9 and have a CH Flight Sim Yoke USB and a CH Pro Pedals USB. Before my recent CH purchases my joystick was a Microsoft Sidewinder.Used the twist stick to operate the rudder when on the ground and I was able to steer/taxiing the aircraft. FS9 was with "Auto Rudder" ON.Now, FS2004 is with "Auto Rudder" OFF. While in the air, the Yoke operate the ailerons and the Pedals operate the Rudder. After landing the steering/taxiing of the aircraft is done by the Rudder which I'm not used to and find very difficult to do.Can I program the CH Yoke,while in the air, for Ailerons and Elevator and to steer the aircraft when it is in contact with the ground ?Ma…

Does anyone know if this devise will ony STREACH a SINGLE view over three differant monitors or will it allow you to view 3 DIFFERANT views on the three monitors? Jerrycwo4

I am an Instructor and would like to use MSFS as teaching aids for aspiring pilots. However I am not computer savy. I intend to use a high-end computer(S) (with HIGH-END graphics cards) to support 5 monitors positioned on the CH Products Command Center (simulation table). The monitors would be used for the following views: 1. FRONT 2. R-FRONT 3. L-FRONT 4. LEFT-SIDE5. RIGHT-SIDE I am looking for advice, or direction to somewhere/someone, that could help me set-up the computer(S) and the 5 monitors with the above 5 associated MSFS views. Thanks much!

OKm here's the situation. I'll have available about $2000 to put together a new system. Plan on waiting a few months for some prices to come down though. I want a Thermaltake Soprano case and a water cooled environment ( simple, not some of the rube goldberg contraptions I've seen ) and a monitor is not necessary.So, other than that, what would the consensus be for CPU/Mobo/Ram/PS/Video. Hey guys,I've been doing a lot of reading about the TrackIR 4 Pro over the last few days and after seeing a bunch of great videos that were posted here I am completely sold.I'll be driving down to New York City from Canada for a few days tomorrow and I was kind of hoping to pick one up on my trip there. Does anyone know if this item is being stocked in a brick-and-mortar shop in the NYC area? Perhaps some sort of specialty shop? I doubt I'll be able to find it but it can't hurt to ask. Guys, I think I was messing with the Copilot position and broke some settings, so my 2D panel now (in Panel view) pans with my TrackIR.Can't find an answer on the boards, my frustration is close to reinstall. I recall there was a similar setting for FS9.cfg (and even FS2002.cfg) which could make 2D panel view pannable. How to remove it in FSX now? Any ideas?Thanks.

Is the Intel Core 2 Extreme processor 32 or 64 bit?VISTA will operate in 32 or 64 bit mode. If I had a 64 bit processor, could I still operate VISTA in the 32 bit mode?I have IBM Lotus software that will run on VISTA 32 bit mode only.Thanks.Stanner

After building my new pc things were looking good, my frame rates seemed invinceable but now the pc restarts in the middle of fs. I have an NVIDIA GeFroce 7900GT and when the system rebooted error reporting said I had recovered from a serious error. MS said I should set hardware excelleration to none and get the latest drivers. I had the latest drivers and when i set the acceleration to none fs would give me a message saying "The drivers currently installed for your video card may cause your computer to stop responding when FLight Simulator is running. What should I do? Send the card back and buy an ati?

Helo Guys!I have an old PC and im thinking to buy a new.The old one has a pentium4 3ghz prescott cpu in 478 socket, not the best i know, but the fs worked well on it.Im thinking to buy a Core 2 Dou processor, but i dont know that fs9 works with dual core cpu.Can it use all the 2 cores?I cant choose between the E6400 and E6600.The E6600 is more expensive, than the E6400.Is the E6400 enough?Can anybody tell me a good motherboard fot these cpu-s?What video card should i buy?(not the most expensive, but can run the newest gmaes)Thanks for the help!Gyula

But at the moment, until more add-ons will be shifted toward FS10, I will want to have both on my new system. So before doing anything I will appreciates your insight for the following questions: 1. Hi,I tried changing a [Views] config in the aircraft config of FSX in Vista today. There was an eyepoint recommendation for the 172 on FSX Forum. However, I opened the cfg with Notepad as I did in XP, and made the changes to the config, but when I went to save it, I couldn't. Is there something I must do to allow changes to these files...because I want to change the Panel config on this plane too. I know I shouldn't have deleted a folder titled C:programfilesDVD..... a few days ago I may have deleted a folder that I thougt had some old try ware software.Well.. None of my DVDs play on my PC Anymore. I even tried downloading the latest Windows Media player. I get a pop up saying"Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer"I don't believe I bout any special DVD software before... And I am pretty sure, I have played regular DVD movies on this PC that I built.I am talking plain vanila playback of regular DVD Movies. Hmmm...Any ideas?Manny

I use a CH Flight Yoke and CH Pro Pedals along with the CH Manager. I've never had any problems with it before but for some reason my rudder has developed a mind of its own and just flutters around. I've been trying now for a week to find a solution but it all ends up as a no go. I'm using a registered Fsuipc along with its "Joystick Calibration" program and had loaded v3.73 but at present have 3.731 beta on just to try yet another angle. I have just upgraded to CH Manager 4.2 but it hasn't solved the problem unfortunately. I'm hoping that someone out there will be able to help me solve this or point in the right direction to find and answer. Thankyou in anticipation. …

Or not as the case may be...Like many I'm currently enduring a love-hate relationship with FSX, when it works well it is actually quite enjoyable guess what we miss most is all those add-ons from FS9. Have got the Aerosim Jetliner pack working and JF A340-500's on the way which will hopefully improve on the default experience.However I digress. The most frustrating thing for me has been the CTD's and BSOD's which FSX throws, particularly changing viewpoints. I'm going from an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128Mb card (AGP) to a nvidia GeForce 9600GT 256Mb card (AGP). Is there anything I need to do in any of the FS9 configurations (.cfg) other than in the regular options menu, of course? Thanks.

have the NVIDIA 7300GS 512MB running it on a Samsung 22" Widescreen LCD, currently using the 93.71 Forceware WinXP WHQL Drivers.Not totally pleased with the results.Anyone have any other recommendations for this card?
