Hello,I bought this game along with newly built system (8800 GTX, e6600 processor,P5N32-E mobo, Vista Ultimate, 2 gigs ram). The system is stable and I can play other games with it. When I try to run FSX though, I get a pulsating black and white screen that also shows the game every other second or so. It appears to be playable control wise, the graphics though are just a complete mess. I have tried several different driver versions, and also even installed DX10 after trying it with DX nine with no luck. Any ideas would be helpful thank you.

I've been putting together a very low-end system for my in-law's...I think I'm going with Dell.. Yeah yeah gimme crap about it lol, normally I'd build one, but I don't think I can do it as cheap (with OS, etc) as Dell can...They are going to use it for some internet browsing, some simple word processing and storing/viewing digital photos from their digi cam. No gaming, no powerhousing going on LOLI wanted some opinions on a few things...namely the OS and how much RAM/CPU, and if the intergrated gpu would be enough...I am fully aware of the C2D's, yes they are great, but when the people you are building it for work very very hard and have very little money you can't just…

I have a new pretty top end system that was working fine with XP then came through the letterbox the Dell upgrade to Vista. After following the pre and post installation instructions (CDROM) to the letter I have had a week of nightmares and spent days trying to get the system functioning to somewhere near normal. Amongst the many issues is the complete loss of sound. The Creative X-Fi Extreme sound card can not be recognised when trying to install the drivers downloaded from the Creative site and designed for Vista. Now I have a silent FSX and can't play any music or videos.Help and assistance is sparse - Dell struggle to even follow Vista's new layout and just recomm…

Hi guys,I'll own up that this post only has a very weak link to FS but I know you lot know your stuff so thought I would ask anyway (and it is to do with aeroplanes)I have a rig that has thus far been 100% dedicated to FSX. The first drive I fitted was:http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?Quicklinx=48J2Now this has worked fine to install XP Pro, FSX and some addons. However, I've decided I would like to use Oxford's Practical Flying Training multimedia CD-Rom on the rig.No go, I get the initial splash screen, can install the software but when I select run from disk or run from hardrive, well, nothing happens.I tried out the disk on my old Mesh computer and it works just …

I'm having a small problem with my CH Yoke. Recently, the yoke has started to drift off center when it's left stationary.Looking in the CH control manager, you can see the cross hairs start to drift to the left and up after a while.Recalibrating or yanking the yoke to the axis limits a few times usually solves the problem. But I'd like to know why it does this in the first place. On takeoff it's not uncommon for my aircraft to start banking left as soon as the wheels are up becuase the yoke has drifted off centre. The problem is even more severe using the LDS 767, as the yoke can still control the plane even with the autopilot active. The yoke was drifting and causing a ba…

Hi allCan anyone help, I have just upgraded XP to Vista Ultimate and have a 4 monitor setup, with 2 Nvidia 7800 GTX cards on a ASUS SLI board, have a 3gb cpu and 4gb of memory.I run FS9 and FSX (not togther ) on 3 of the monitors giving a front and 2 x 45* views, the textures are fine with excellent ground detail on the front and right hand side monitor, but the left monitor textures are suffering from the blurries.I have the latest Nvidia drivers installed, and all 4 monitors are the same make. Anyone any ideas on what i am doing wrong, or is it another Vista gremlim?.Thanks Paul

Hi guys,I am building a new system and have come to the point where I need to decide if it's going to be powered by XP or it's brother Vista.I'm going to be playing both FS2004 and FSX. The system will be fairly decent E6600 along with a 8800 GTS. I don't mind not having the nice visual of vista (already have it at work). I'm looking for more performance vs. eye-candy.Your suggestions are appreciatedNick

The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:WindowsSystem32Hhctrl.ocx occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.Doing a system restall gets rid of this nasty update, but WinXP won't stop hassling me about installing the xxxxxx update.Does anybody know anything about this? Hello.I was hoping someone could help me out here.I remember reading a long time ago about the gain adjustments when using CH Products Control Manager. It had something to do with making the sensitivity a bit more realistic. The problem is I don't remember exactly what it was all about and I can't find the posts anymore.I have attached an example of mine but I'm not sure if I have them backwards or not.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello!I have downloaded the new driver version 7.1 for Radeon X850 series. After installing it and tweaking all my Catalyst settings back to where I had em before, I have a problem: most things on the screen look blurry :(In FS9, especially, the outside views make it clear that the 3D acceleration works, although there are now rougher edges on objects. But inside the cockpit all guages look very blurry.Tried to tweak and play around with display settings in Catalyst and in FS9 but nothing helps. Should I roll back to previous driver? Any thoughts? I have Acer AL1917 19 inch monitor.Assistance will be gratly appreciated.Thanx!

Was just curious what people think are the best rudder pedals to use with FSX? I've looked at the CH products, and they seem to get good reviews - but really wondering what others who have experience with rudder pedals think, are they pretty solid and do they give a good solid response? I want to be able to use them for the differential brakes too - are they good in that regard also? Also, I read in a review that they don't spring back to center very solidly...do others think that too? - plus maybe that is realistic anyway? Thanks in advance for all replies!Andy.
