I just purchased a A-4 Skyhawk with a "working" tail hook. A year or so ago I aquired (somewhere ?) a set of 5-6 aircraft carriers that had a WORKING capapult (sic) and "landing wires" but it took "keystrokes" to work both of them. I can NOT remember what they were. Can anyone who also has them please tell me what the key strokes are. Thanks jerrycwo4 ( (sic) means that there is a mistake and I know it. )

I just recently built a new systems and have spent the past few weeks re-installing my scenery packages. I have since tried to do two flights to KPHX and both times, I got an Out of Memory error on approach. I'm using the Simflyers KPHX scenery.I never had the problem on my older, slower system before using the same scenery..My new rig is:Core 2 Duo E6700ASUS P5N32-E nVidia 680sli2GB RamDual 250GB SATA HD'snVidia 7950GT 512MB GPUWindows XP Pro SP2Every other scenery package (including the most frame-rate intensive packages, such as Aerosoft EDDF, Simflyers KATL v.2, Cloud9 KLAX) has no problems.. this system runs them as fluidly as default scenery!I've got my page files s…

I'm baffled by this.After a few complete re-installs of FS9, various config file changes, re-installs lol..No matter what plane I fly, even the default 737, anytime my engines are running my framerates are around 12, otherwise they stay around 29. I can repeat it.I have FS9 installed with a few addonsMytraffic2004Some payware planesA couple of payware airport sceneries.But this happens anywhere. I must have done something wrong because in the past I seem to remember having frame rates in the 30s.Anyone ever see this?Jeff

Hi there.I don't usually post here as I am an FSX fetishist - but those who have had an eye on TileProxy for a while might find it interesting that I just added compatibility with FS9 to that project. Hi all-I'm reinstalling the JL4 gages in ES Citation X and seem to have run into an odd problem. The Gages installed fine (from the RXP user files section) but I seem to have an additional jet engine sound running in the background all the time! I'm not sure what got overwritten/changed but I'd sure like to know! This sound is not present in the other versions without the JL4 setup.Thanks!Mark

I went to Simmarket this morning to purchase Real Sky v3 and it is not there anymore!! It's not even listed in their inventory anymore... I followed the link from the Avsim review and the product description page comes up, but without the option to purchase it;( Does anyone know where to buy it? Hi all,I was wondering if someone knows why the database initialisation always fails when starting up the GPS530 on the C421 Golden Eagle.I have d/l and installed the latest FSUIPC, but in the manual it states that it is no longer required. I thought it'd be fun to fly around the U.S. to each city with an NFL team and fly over their stadium. I had assumed all the NFL stadiums were included in the FS9 scenery, since I've already flown over Qualcomm (San Diego Chargers), Qwest Field (Seattle Seahawks), and the Metrodome (Minnesota Vikings). When I arrived at Green Bay, Wisconsin, home of the Packers, Lambeau Field was nowhere to be found! Of all the football fields, Lambeau being one of the more historical, over 40 years old, you would think it would be in FS9.I checked to see if there were any 3rd party add-ons and the AVSIM file library for stadiums, seems there are none. Is it working ok? How do you make the macros aircraft-specific? In what order do you load?

A year ago I came across an addon (.kml file I think) for Google Earth that showed the European FIR boundaries. I can't find it again so I wonder if any of You guys have an idea where to find it?

Anyone having problems with the New Oakland International Airport loading. I've tried several times to load fs2004 with the scenery installed and each time it loads to about 50% and then fs crashes to the desktop. I dont understand what is going on. I have Flytampa's SFO installed, but I dont think that should make a difference. Any hints on what I can do?????Thanks Shaz

Hello everyone, I just opened up my fs9 cfg file as I've done a thousand times and accidently left the box checked for opening up all the time with notepad. Now all my cfg related files are notepad files. How do I revert back to the other way, what ever that setting may have been? I need to make this apply to all files on my c drive. I pray someone can give me an easy solution. My system restore is turned off, so that's not an option. Thanks for any help here. I am such an idiot.

I bought this soundset and liked the sounds in general,however very disappointed that it didn't include any external orreverse sounds, it being a commercial package.I emailed the support and was directed to a download hereat Avsim which gave me an exterior sound of sorts but notvery good at all.Trying to make the best of things I was wondering if anyone would know how I could add some decent external and reversesounds to the sound config to try and sort of round off thesound set.Thanks

Hi all, can anyone point me to a gauge that would allow me to added to any panel and have a parking brake release and set sound? I thinkn there are a couple panels out there with a sound whenever you release or set the park brakes.Thanks,Bill

I have noticed for some time now that many aircraft when loaded to the airport slowly creep forward at engine idle, even with the breaks on. For example, I was setting up the Level D at KSEA at gate 30, engines idling, and the plane kept inching forward as I set up the FMC. I set the breaks, checked the idle etc and it still eventually started rolling.Also I notice that the planes sometimes bounce slightly as they are parked in idle? This has happened with many aircraft and it doesnt happen all the time. Anyone have any thoughts on this. IS this an FS9 bug or tweek I can make in the config?

Doing a search I see a lot of folks adding the line in their fs9.cfg under DISPLAY TextureMaxLoad =??There already is a TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD as part of fs9's default cfg under the GRAPHICS part. Just wondering what the difference is between the two(if any)as i'm trying to tweak for best quality/performance. :-wave

Real World WeatherSo why is this not fixed yet, it is part of the fs9 package - we paid our money yeah!!!This caused me a load of grief i.e. reloading fs9 basic deleting recent add-ons etc and I am sure I am not alone.Could have at least give us a warning.This is not the first time and I do not not find this at all acceptable.Anybody agree?
