Looking through some notes I had jotted down back in 2006, I found the following question:"In FDSFX' panel, is there a way that keystrokes can replace mouse clicksto initiate a flight crew message? I would like to have the ability to start flight crew messages exclusively from "Spot Plane" view.Does any other crew announcement program provide such a feature?Any constructive comments or suggestions would be welcome.4Deucer

I'm just getting back into fs9 with a vengeance. I enjoy it more every day. I've been reading posts about various Joystick problems but I was wonder ing if there have been any revelations lately as to why the calibration of joysticks, in general, seem to drift so markedly. I will fly a perfect flight, then reload to fly the same flight, without changing anything and my throttle slider is at 45% when it should be around 20% or the rudder has decided to take on a mind of its own. Changing USB ports has a very good effect to bring things back into line but has anything definitive been discovered lately as to why this happens?Jon

Hi all,Ive gone back to FS9, FSX is just too much of a headache, you need a 15GHZ CPU am sure! Been simming for only about 6 months now, and I'm flying the default 777 for the first time but with the very cool Ultimate Default Boeing 777 Pack by Kevin Nelson, Quinn Miller (and others) and it doesn't want to get much higher than 33,000 feet, or past 220 or 230 kias, sometimes struggling to get over 200! I had to divert to KPHL and land because I kept losing altitude - and even went into a shallow stall at one point. When I switch to Spot view, it looks like the air brakes are extended just a bit although all instruments indicate "no", and no matter how many times I pump the VC's Air Brake handle or rotate the knob to return them off, no change in the way the wing…

BGLcomp SDK will not work on my FS9 PC - when I use any utility which autogenerates bgl files (like Rwy12), or drag an xml file onto bglcomp.exe, I get a quick blinking, and that's it. No bgl file.However, on my 2nd. PC, it all works fine; so I have to transfer the xml file generated from my FS9 PC to the other PC, use bglcomp there and then move then bgl file generated back to the FS9 PC.Can anyone say why I can't get this to work on my FS9 PC - it would clearly be a lot more practical! If I copy over my BGLcomp SDK folder from the 2nd. PC, it works just once on my FS9 PC, then back to blinking at me instead of giving me a bgl file.Any ideas re. this mystery would be app…

Hi all.I've only had FS9 a couple of weeks and I'm really enjoying it. Mostly.I was doing the Private Pilots checkride and upon landing I was told that I failed it. The problem is that I have no idea as to why!This isn't very helpful at all.So is there any way to find out where I went wrong?Or are there any freeware/payware lessons that give more feedback.I don't know how important these lessons are to making progress in the sim, but I assume they are there for a reason.Please offer what advice you can.Domonic

I already have the PSS Airbuses and have had a lot of fun with them, despite their limitations.Does the Wilco Airbus offer any significant advantages over the PSS packages? I know that there were early problems with the Wilco, but these appear to be being fixed by the designer, which is an encouraging sign.--Bryn

Hello everyone,I have posted this request at both Evolve's website and FTG so forgive me if you've seen it already.I've had huge problems with FS9 recently with it not loading up, basically hanging at the splash screen stage. Deleting the FS9.cfg file didn't have any joy so I've backed up the files such as addon ai and scenery and uninstalled the game with the intention of doing a fresh install. However when I put disk 1 in the drive I get an error message along the lines of "the file resource.dll is missing, .... cannot continue the install please reboot". We'll I've rebooted four times and I can't get it to start installing.Anyone got any ideas please?I am really starti…

HEllo,Is there a possibility of re-configuring the take off sequence in FS9?What I mean .. if the AI traffic gets a clearance for take off the aircraft itself take couple of seconds before it takes off which delays other inbound traffic which gets orders from ATC to go around.Is there now a possibility to re-configure the delay? Meaning if the ATC tells traffic to take off then the AI aircraft takes off immediately.Do I need a third party software for it?Thanx!Best wishes/Artur

I have kinda grown tired of the MelJet 77 Maintenance mode being linked to the main exit keystroke. Anyone know how to swap it with the tailhook keystroke?

Hi,When I bring up the kneeboard during a flight the panel in the background goes black, although the scenery out the window remains. Hello Everybody! I recently HIMALAYA AIRPORTS ADDON SCENERY v1.0 FOR MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2004. It said I needed to download the AFCAD files and look at the read me on the "Flight Sim" webpage but I didn't find the forum page that showed how to install them. I'm confused. I need help on this. I have seen photos of passengers unloading from a/c and walking to the terminal. Is there a program that does this, or is it just a set of bmp's? The pics I've seen, look like its made for specific a/c, because they are placed correctly walking down the airstairs.Rick

Hello!I have a small but really hard problem - sometimes brakes don't work. So, I am landing and then trying to press "." button, but it doesn/t work. Btw, when I press Ctrl+".", parking brakes are working, but it doesn't turn off by simply pressing "." (as you know, this action always work). I have this problem on LVL-D 767 and Wilco 737...As I know, it's not only my problem - some people have it too...any advices?thnx

Please help Im trying to add a Helipad to my airport local EGBB, under AFCAD the pad appears along with a little taxiway/apron, yet once I save it & load up FS9 the addition Ive made does NOT appear yet it does on the AFCAD, Im using an Add on scenery for my airport which I believe is an FS2k2 version is this the reason why my changes arent showing? Hello,It appears that some confusion has resulted from the change in installer being used with MAIW packages.Please note that any packages with a release date of 6th June 2007 or later do not require the World of AI installer. We are now using a temporary Installer exe utility.This change results from technical difficulties experienced by some users with aircraft configuration entries being over-written. This problem does not effect World of AI released packages.Packages prior to 6th June, will still need the installer but MAIW would advise using the manual install feature to ensure previous data is not lost during the installation process.MAIW would like to apologise f…

Hi,What is the verdict about Feelthere's/Wilco's Citation X (FS9 version only)?It has been on the market for a short while and I'm intereted about the following:- Systems: how extensive are they simulated- FMC + navigational display- Flight model- 2D and 3D panel quality (graphics wise)I know Eaglesoft is developing one too, but that one could take months to complete.

Guys, I installed Ultimate Traffic and ran it for a while. Now I want to try another AI package and compare what kind of traffic I'll have in the same airports. What is the easiest way to swap between different packages without damaging each other? If I like another package more than UT, can I still use some of the UT's AI interface features? Also what GA/AIRLINE % setting in FS9 would you recommend for running comparisons and what is the setting you normally use with AI traffic packages?Thanks for your answers and comments.
