hi allin real life when the captains do their checklists, what does "to the line" mean?i.e "can we have our taxi checklists to the line..."

My sim has suddenly decided to show July 2003 everytime I start it.Not sure why this is happening. Any help/advice appreciated.Thanks and regards

Hi Everybody.I'm officially gave up on this and hereby challenge you to pass this Checkride in FS2004.I read every thread I could lay hand on, in English & Hebrew, posted questions in several forums, read documents, saw video, and still I can't make it into the Holding.Particularly, I get the ever so lovely failure announcement when I start the Dear-drop entry (from 140 degrees to 320).If you know how to enter that Holding, please be kind and post here the answer to probably the most annoying Checkride in FS.thanxayal.

At the moment I'm using v2.21 of AFCAD. However when using AFCAD recently a dialog appeared advising me that the version is some months old, and that a later version is available. Can anyone tell me which version this is, and where I can get it ??

Hi. I am currently using an ATI X800 XT video card on a Pentium 4 3.0 GHz computer with 1 GB of memory. I was able to max out everything in the display section exluding the shadows and set my weather to 60 / 40 / 100 / Maximum with dxt3 clouds and I am able to get 20 fps even at big airports with Traffic 2005 set to 25%. The problem I am having is that I get micro stutters especially when looking down at low altitudes while in the air. When I set the target frame rate to unlimited it smooths itself out but it does jump around from 20 to 40+ fps per second depending on what I look at. Airsimmer was supposed to have released an Airbus 320, did they pull the plug? Their last update on their website is from late January.Digital Aviation had some gorgeous screenshots of a CRJ-200 on their site many months ago. They are gone and have been replaced with a comment about new information coming soon. That comment has been there for a long, long time. No attempt to update their site at all from what I can see.AirlinerXP WILL have an Airbus out in the next few months, that one I can count on.I think I can count on RealAir also with their Duke, but that's for FSX only.I'm sure there are more, but I think simulation enthusiasts are evenly split between the two …

Does anybody know of good FS9 dawn/dusk sky textures that smooth the horizon? There are some good ones for day skies (soft horizon, blue sky), but I still can't get rid of the sharp horizon when the sun is low. Even setting my sight distance beyond FSUIPC's visibility maximum doesn't resolve the problem. This remains one of the few FS9 issues that really gets me.Thanks,Alden

Could someone tell me the steps to install the default Garmin GPS into an aircraft that doesn't have it(Flight One's Pilatus PC-12). I know I have heard that it can be done, I just can't remember where I saw it. Thanks. Tom

what are the best visual enhancements in FS9 for areas like the caribean , the bahamas , pacific islands ( hawai areas and tahitis areas mostly) ... basicaly , tropical island , touristic resort style of areas .looking for major airports as well as small GA types , and also just visual stuff like mesh ...PS already have the beautifull freeflow sceneries as well as the amazing project canary add-onsst marteen by fly tampa is also already on the list .thanks

For my AeroSim 747-200 fleet I am looking for KLM in their older blue colors with tail# PH-BUF. I collect lost aircraft and remember them by adding them to my FS fleet. PH-BUF was lost in 1977 in a tragic collision with Pan AM N736PA. If anyone can create a livery for me, let me know how to contact you and the cost.Thanks

I think I finally have FS9 where I want it. It only took three years and a couple of grand in upgrades, but it was worth it.I can't remember the exact specs of my first FS9 machine, but there's no questions I was very limited in what I could do. My last machine was an AMD64-3000/2GB RAM/7800GS and it made FS9 look great, and most things ran very well, but there were still limitations. Now, with my new four day old rig, an E6700/2GB Corsair RAM/8800GTs 640 with an 80GB internal HD with nothing! on it except a clean defragged FS9, every slider maxed, every option on, 1280x1024 with 8xAF and 16xAA, UT+GEPro+FE+full Genesis Mesh, and custom planes & scenery & AI traff…

I have installed a new graphics card (Nvidia 6200 AGP - I still have an old setup) and suddenly I have a very strange framerate phenomenon:framerates constantly jump between approx. 5 and 50 FPS every 0.5 seconds i.e. 5 - 50 -5.2 - 51 - 5.5 - and so on. Always high - low and in this range - like a pendulum. Nothing else. It's driving me nuts already!!!Nothing else was changed and before I had 25 fps with all sliders to the right.Does anyone have any idea what could cause this? I DOWNLOADED 747-400F LIVERIES AND INSTALLED THEM AND THEY ARE NOT COMING UP IN THE FS9, I REINSTALLED THEM THE SECOND TIME AND STILL DON'T COME UP IN THE FS9, ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRICIATED.

I am getting stutters because fs9 is looking for "fx_fanengine_medium_idle.fx" in the effects folder and it isn't there. I did a search and couldn't find anything. Can I just make a folder and name it "fx_fanengine_medium_idle.fx" to fix the problem?Thanks.
