Can anyone tell me how KLGA has performed for them. I tried the demo it seemed ok but the scenery flashes and it is hard to get an accurate view of how well the scenery performs. (By the way I do understand why the flashing happens) Also does anybody have the Imaginesim KEWR and able to get this scenery to work ok. The old Simflyers worked better for me. If anyone has advice for that I would love to hear it.Anyway I have and like there sceneries just not KEWR.

"Help/advice" Guys and gals. I am a teacher with very limited "playtime"(flight time) during the school year. Now that I have a few months to do some serious flying again I have some question about installing FSX. Several months ago I installed a new HDD and placed the old HDD in an external enclosure. The old HDD has my complete FS9 files on it. I did not copy or reinstall FS9 on the new drive. What are your suggestions for installing FSX:1. "Ghost" or backup the FS9 and place on the new drive and then install FSX.2. Install FS9 fresh, reinstall all of the add-ons and then installFSX.3. Install FSX and reinstall all of the add-ons (those compatable of course).O…

During a flight, when I use the ALT key and then the pull down menu, I have a graphics problem when FS9 is supposed to go to another screen in order to make any changes. For example if I choose "Select Aircraft" the Aircraft Selection panel should normally completely get out of the flight screen and come up surrounded by a black background. My problem is that I don't get the black background. The selection panel is superimposed over the view of the airplane cockpit (when in 2D mode) and the panel is not all there (all the buttons are there but not the rotating picture of the aircraft).Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is wrong and how to fix it?Thanks in adva…

Hi there, i have created an airport with six runways using AFCAD, each runway has a different heading except two of them, i wanted to make all of my runways active using Jim Viles 'Star' technique, therefore i have created a load of small 20ft x 20ft closed runways mixed in with my open runways starting with 0 degrees and incrementing the heading of each runway by 7.8 degrees to fool FS2004 into thinking that all the runways (including the actual ones) are parallel. This does not seem to work. I initially placed the closed runways around 2000 miles away, now they are 1 mile away but i still cant get ATC to direct me to any of the other runways except the one the wind dire…

After a System Chrash my FS is chrashing BTD about every 15-30 minutes. The error Message says that the error occured in the "g2d.dll".Can someone from you please send me that dll? (It's in the Modules-Folder)But it has to be the english version 9.1 (after the patch).THXMy E-Mail:[email protected]

Does anyone know where the Flight Sim 2004 patch for the 737 PIC can still be downloaded? It seems to have been removed and the Flight Sim X migration patch put into its place. Thanks Zach Bender K7LTF

Hi,I was wondering what is the most realistic sight distance and cloud draw distance setting in FS2004? I have seen all kinds of opinions ranging anywhere from 60 miles sight distance / 40 mile cloud draw distance to all settings maxed out but am not sure what is realistic. I fly mainly in US, Canada, and Europe at altitudes as high as 35,000 feet and sometimes higher. Also what controls the sight distance? The reason I ask is because there is a setting in the FS9.cfg file that mentions maximum unlimited visibility and it is defaulting to around 96000 no matter what you set the sight distance to. I already have some AI boat traffic in some areas and would like to add in some more. Once I finish my flying through Russia and the Middle East, I am going to head back over to Alaska and do some flying. After watching some of the Deadliest Catch on TV, is there any scenery addons for FS9 that includes some AI fishing boats in Alaska?

When using the 'fixed' ETA option in Traffic Mover, doesn't that make the AI aircraft behave strangely? I'm not sure I understand what the benefit is. The AI's usually arrive about 10 minutes after they are do which isn't bad at all. Is there some good reason to use the fixed ETA?

Hi guys. My kids asked me what I wanted for fathers day, so naturally I thought of comming here first to pick some brains. Being as I almost exclusively fly in the Caribbean, I'm wanting to buy the best Caribbean scenery on the market.(fs9) I would like to have the total package, or as close to it as possible. A typical Addon scenery file seems to have three components: scenery, texture and a DAT file called 'Scenery'.What is the function of this DAT file and how can it be opened?If I have two or more addon scenery packages and I want to put them in one folder so that the textures and scenery files are combined in their respective folders with no duplication, how can I do the same for the two DAT files (they can't both be placed in the overall folder as they are named the same?).For example, I have six addons for the Dunstable area of the UK from VFR addons. There's a lot of duplication and updating of these files and I thought it would be the best solution to put them all in a…

I currently use the freeware portion of routefinder, my question is, if I pay for the full version can i convert the plans into fs9 and not have to hear atc giving corrections,i.e., headings, altitudes, etc. and strictly follow the flightplan as given, using a/c I have purchased? I now only use flight following and don't file an ifr plan as they don't agree.

We're going WAY back in time now but was wondering if anyone could tell me what the scheduling was for the Braniff orange 'Pumpkin' 747 was from KDFW to PHNL. I've searched the net but can't find anything about the schedule. I have the Pumpkin as part of my Aerosim 747 package and would like to duplicate the flight.Thanks for any assistance.

Posted in the FSX forum as well but i know how many fought the Out of Memory in FS9 so it is very relevant to these forums as well.Well this is just my opinion and please let me begin by thanking Phil and the team for finally giving us the definitive answer we need which is that neither FS9 or FSX can KEEP themselves under the 2g limit. I may have been dreaming. I thought you could move the Reality XP gauges two a second monitor. I have changed from full screen to windowed and tried to move the gauge to the second monitor. Tried to undock the gauge via right mouse click. FSnavigator works fine being moved so I know my HW setup works. I tried undocking from the main menu. It undocks the main FS panel.So was I dreaming when I thought I use to to it? Or am I missing something. I have ATI X600 card with one VGA connector to one monitor and the other DVI going to the other monitor.Thanks in advance to all who reply.Bill

Today an AA flight could not depart for KDFW because the aircrafts radar was not working and KDFW had storms.I was told the aircrafts radar must be working before departure.So, is this an individual airlines (AAL) rule or a KDFW rule for landing aircraft when storms are in the area?If the aircrafts radar failed enroute to KDFW would it have to go to an alternate airport?On windshear. Is it like from ground based doppler radar at the airport or does the aircraft have sensors for it (warning) or could it be built into the aircrafts own radar?

have not purchased an Eaglesoft product in awhile, as I dont fly corporate aviation jets much. However after looking at their general aviation line up went for the Columbia 400. What a sweet airplane!!!I integrated my Reality XP Pro GNS430's though. I know how to work them very well, so one less thing on the learning curve. Couple of observations though.The only way you can get a flight plan to show up on the MFD is if you use an FS9 flight plan. I had hoped I could program one in the GNS430 and have it link into the Avidyne unit.I also found a couple of quirks (I wont call it bugs...really), but when I declutter the MFD, I cant "reclutter it". Hi all,Have searched for this issue but it appears no-one else has raised it.I have installed ISD's excellent LIMC2005 but am encountering one annoying issue. With Yohann Baptiste's free LOD9 mesh installed, the area around the two runways is a foot or so above the rest of the aerodrome, so that when landing the default scenery bleeds through the ISD textures. As soon as you vacate the runway the issue disappears. Once you enter the runway it re-appears. From a top-down view with low sun, you can clearly see the elevated land around each of the two runways.Has anyone encountered this, and if so, what did you do to resolve it? Appreciate any help guys.

Hey does anyone know how to make afacd if you do can you just make one parking spot at (88C) my local airport located in wisconsin. I just need one spot so i dont always have to start on the runway.
