I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the front page just now.It is horrible news to me that we have lost another simmer as well as a volunteer here at avsim. I am sure Brian Fletcher will be greatly missed here at avsim.My condolences to Brian's family, as well as my fellow friends here at avsim as we all must go through this horrible event. HelloI have had a very strange problem with just flight 737 pilot in command. They don't seem to be able to help reslove it.After loading default plane and switching to 737PIC plane I cannot reset or end mission, it always shuts down FS2004. The only time it reloads is if I chrash the 737pic plane. If I do not load a 737pic plane fs2004 works without any issues.I also have a paid FSUIPC driverregardskrishan

Hi, Im having a very strange problem start last night.Every time I start fs9, I get the following error:Your computer has run out of available memory. Flight simulator will now exit. You may not have enough free space on your hard disk drive. After seeing the accolades for the Project Airbus A320, I downloaded it since there was indication that it had a VC panel. Before installing it in FS9 I opened the folder to check on the panel used and, lo & behold, the panel is aliased to the "BOEING 737-700" panel. Now I know that Airbus does not use a yoke but a joystick. So the Boeing panel is out of place. What gives here? Is there no Airbus panel (in VC)for this craft? Or am I missing something here?Thanks for the feedback.

Just flew ATL-BOS. Seems like the FT scenery is acting up. At night, the ground textures were dancing all around, as if they were loading two different sets of textures about 10 times a second. I take it that there is some kind on conflict here. Anyone ever had this issue or have any idea how to fix it?Thanks guys! :-wave

Hi there, I remember sometime last year that someone had rewritten a module or setting in FS2004 so that when you taxi, you hardly need any throttle and gave better ground performance as I find that some aircraft when turning on the taxiway tend to slide a bit rather than follow the track of the nose wheel and the main gear does the same.I can t remember what the name of it was. I'm really enjoying learning how to fly this a/c. On one hand it is quite an easy a/c to fly - but on the other,you can get into trouble quickly with it.So far, I can land it (at 40,000lbs) in 2000 feet. I have read that it is possible to land it in half this distance - if so, I would love some pointers. Possibly I am coming in a little too fast - but below 100 knots on final approach, I tend to get into trouble. I haven't tried using the spoilers on approach yet - anybody tried that? At what stage of the approach would they be used?Thanks Barry

ey allIm new to this forum and signed up because i've been having this problem..Im not a noob in FS games, i know how it works and can usually land any plane on any airfield.Usually i land a jet using ILS frequency and approach autopilot. All goes well, i fly it manually to correct course, wait for the localizer to pop in..turn on APP etc..But now my problem, 1/4 times whenever i turn on the APP, the autopilot turns around, crashes the plane, or flies to another airfield. Now i did not fill in the wrong radio NAV1 frequency nor the wrong course(i checked 10x)..Two example:-Sometimes, when i set the NAV 1 to e.g. 190.50mhz (the correct one), the AP will just turn around to…

Anyone have much time in either the 70 or the 100? I get an alarm during take off roll that I can't figure out what is the cause. It will continue until the gear is up. Hi All,I have been a huge fan of AS6.5 for some time but just recently it is causing FS and my PC to crash and I cannot figure out for the life of me how this is occuring..?I am always up for change and wondered for those that have Flight Environment what you thought of it and if you belive it would be a suitable replacement for AS6.5 (not saying that AS6.5 is canned for good, but it will be back on my machine once I have resolved the problem) but this is more of a temporary solution..!ThanksPHIL

The work that you and your crew put into making the Freeware Glacier National Park in Southeast Alaska is just amazing. It looks so much like the real thing that it makes Flight simulation a real joy in this part of the world. Having your other sceneries as well makes flight simulated Bush flying about "as real as it gets "Thanks Again.

Does anyone know how to add more snow to the hills and mountains?I live in Chile and we have the "Andes Mountains" crossing the whole border of our country. In FS2004 there is a little quantity of snow but in the real life I saw the mountain covered by snow completely during the whole year.I mean in one specific season of the year probably some hills or mountains are covered by 1/4 of snow but I dont know if is possible to modify a file or something to see the same hill or mountain covered by 3/4 of snow.Is that possible?Cheers for all!!!

Vista came on my new computer and I'm trying to make the best of it.If you run FS9 on Vista-What do you shut down prior to starting FS9?What do you use to stop the processes (does FSautoStart still work)?Are there any SPECIFIC tweaks you use (I currently use all the VOZ/Koorby ones)?What SPECIFIC changes have you made to make Vista perform better?Anything else you might feel would be helpful.Thanks for you help- this thread might be helpful to others as well. Has anyone been able to simulate this feature in Kirk Olsson's F-16. I've merged the Lago panel to Kirk's jet, but can't get the flaps to automatically extend or retract. Any ideas? Thanks!

Just curious, if you download a repaint of one of the default AI aircraft, will that new paint scheme show up as AI traffic? If not, is there any "simple" way to accomplish this? Thanks for any help.

Have anybody seen yhat Pro Flight 2000 is coming back? I really liked this program, and I'm looking foward to it's return. Found out about it from the FSX forum. It will be for FS9 and FSX.
