Heres my delta maddog 2006 repaint. Is pretty much done, but its not reflective. It has that static bland look. I want it to have some reflection so it looks like it is metal. How do I do this?

Hello all, I've been out of the loop for some time and want to get back into MSFS. My question for everyone is what do you consider the essential addons to FS9 to make it shine? Alternately, at this point in the life cycle would I be better off picking up FSX? My machine is an Athlon X2 4200 with 2 gigs of ram and a 7900GT video card. I'm mostly interested in what sort of environmental and scenery addons I should get, however if anyone has some good smaller commuter aircraft advice I'd love to hear those as well. Hi,Long time reader, first time poster.I've been looking for an AI program that will allow me to specify the routes I want an airline to fly and the fleet size, then it takes over and does the scheduling.From what I've been able to find, programs won't let you create a schedule using point A as a main base, with flights to point B, C via B, D, etc. They will let you just use A, B, C and D, but won't schedule so that every flight either arrives or departs from just point A.The closest I've seen is My Traffic's use of hubs, but it's a laborious process to create a hub at A and then block every airport out except B, C and D.Any thoughts? I've always liked turboprops (started my career at AiResearch on the TPE331 years ago). I've purchased and D/L'd some (Saab 340, Dash 8 etc) but I read that the MSFS turboprop model is "broken" and descriptions like that.What are some of the things not well modeled and are there some work-arounds?

Is it possible to run FS9 from an external harddrive?

I purchased FSbuild, used one of their flight plans, and sent it to PMDG's 747 folder. Sitting in cockpit with FMC on, entered EDDFLOWW in CO ROUTE, showed up in FMC...now what? Sorry guys, this very new to me (the FMC) and I can not find any FMC flights for dummies tutorials. Looks to me, there is still info that needs to be entered in the FMC. Just need some sort of tutorial that gets me from FSbuild to destination airport. Pathetic, huh?FS2004FSbuild 2.3PMDG 747-400

Hi, I have problem of late: After about 4 or 5 minutes of flying, sim freezes up. Have to reboot computer. I notice this mainly when sailing around Male scenery from Lago. Have used this scenery ever since its release. Anyone know what problem could be? Thank you much.

I've encountered an interesting problem now that I'm involved with aircraft that land and take off from the water.I have FSGenesis Hawaii installed. I've discovered that in attempting to start a flight from the water around Honolulu, the aircraft behaves as if the water is a dry runway, i.e. it sits on the gear instead of floating.I'd very much like to solve this issue, so any help is appreciated. I seem to remember that there was a little flight simulator calculator which calculated V/S for a given speed.Anyone can point me to that utility? Or else, to a webpage where it can be done? ThanksChris

Does anyone know the proper way to isntall FS9 into Vista? This is really getting to be extremely frustrating for me. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I'm at the end of my rope!!!!

I'm going to purchase a new computer in the next couple of months. Unfortunately, finding XP is getting to be more difficult. The computer I want is only available with Vista. How much of a performance hit can I expect using FS2004 with Vista versus XP? (assuming the same hardware is used) Have people noticed any difference?Thanks!

Guys,This is just my personal opinion but I didn't know if others felt the same. Most importantly this is not a bash FSX thread, just a weird phenomena I am experiencing for the first time. I am the definition of an instant gratification guy. Hi all,As seen from the subject line, I'd like to get your recommendations on pre-release compatibility of .NET products. I've searched through various forums but couldn't get a reasonable answer. I'm all exhausted now... :(I have both .NET 1.1 and 2.0 installed, as required by some FS9 addons such as ActiveSky, Vista OZ (Australia), etc. Now, with the release of .NET 3.0 I'm totally confused. Some advice to uninstall all previous versions of .NET and to fresh-install the latest version (3.0). And some advice to install all releases BUT then uninstall version 1.1 only!? I'm trying to find the correct address of Ranainside. On typing in www.ranainside.com, the address given in the accompanying documentation for Flightsim Manager, my browser states that this address can't be found. Does Ranainside have a new web address, and if so what is it ??
