Hi All,Can anyone tell me how to add a water rudder function to a Flying Boat (not a float plane) that does not have one ?Thanks,Mark.

I checked the Microsoft site to see if they were offering a patched demo of FSX and there is not. So for a person who is fairly convinced that I will not upgrade to FSX from FS9, I will never really know if it would run well for me. I am not going to go out and buy it now just because I hear some positive feedback on SP1.You would think that by now Microsoft would be trying to re-sell their FSX to us FS9ers and would have a patched demo that would perform as SP1 to show us the "new" version?

I see many posts regarding FS9 vs FSX. One thing I have been watching is the reviews on Amazon's site. FSX has 3 out of 5 stars from 196 reviews at this time. In grade terms that'a a big fat D or 60%. And now the used price has dropped to 35.99.Some of the reviews are a liitle confusing, maybe user error because you see many poor reviews but with 4 and 5 stars so I think some people do not understand the process. So the acual rating is probably less than 3 stars.I find the AMZN site reviews interesting becuse many of the poeple are simming for the first time. Those people tend to give it better reviews, probably because they have not experienced FS9. And the poor reviews …

Hi All, does the CS legendary 727 have a fully active VC like the DF 727?Does the VC overhead have active switches enabling engine start, normal operation etc, from the VC? how are the cockpit ambience sounds like stab. trim, A/C packs etc?I'm asking because I feel kind of burned by the CS 707 as it's VC overhead is a blank bitmap (from a 727 no less!) and even engine starts cannot be accomplished from the VC. The 727 VC looks great......I'd just like to make sure it works great before I buy.Thank youStan

I have installed george Grimshaw's Boston Logan airport but this is what I see ? I have Windows Vista and FS9.....anyone else hjave the same problem...for some reason the scenry files and textures don't want to load properly ? sorry I can't seem to upload the screen shot but what O DON"t see is his amazing scenery...all that appears are the FS9 stock bldgs and little triangles all over the place....?????

New user, of FS2004 & PMDG 737NG 600/700.Have the follwoing faultVersion of FS2004 detected is not compatible with this version of FSUIPC! it is build 9.01.40901...you need correct version of FS2004, check the help aboutbuild should be 9.00.30612 FSUIPC will terminate when you select ok.Please help, how is this fixed.Thanks,Dave

How do you get the Flight Simulator 2004 Century of Flight logo to put over a picture to make a Splash screen? I've got the FS Splash font (I think that's what it's called) but you have to resize it manually and there's no shadow as far as I can see. I would have thought there must be a bitmap of the correct size logo that people use to create their splash screens but I can't find any. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Frog.

Here we are, six months after the release of FSX and this forum seems to be a lot more active than the one below (with the exception of the activity generated by the recent release of Tileproxy). Have a look around the new files being uploaded here at Avsim and the other big FS sites and you'll see far more FS9 stuff than FSX. Even on the payware front things are a little slow. There's quite a lot of FSX stuff on Simmarket, but on closer inspection pretty much all of it is just rehashed FS9 products. Yes I know Level D and PMDG have announced products for FSX, but their projects seem to progress at such a glacial pace one has to wonder if we really will see the majority o…

I was considering FSBuild but I go to the site and the link to the support forum is dead. The "latest news" is dated back in 2006. It does not seam that the site is very up to date.Is this product still viable? Should I go with another planner such as FSCommander8, it is at least current?

I've been out of town, but did I miss something?Is there no longer a support forum for Active Sky 6 at AVSIM? I see there is a new ActiveSky X out but it is for FSX only.I just got Active Sky 6 about 3 weeks ago and it seams that it is gone, or am I missing something here? And the new AS site is all for FSX version?

I recently installed Fly Tampa's St. Maarten Airport to have it work with Aerosofts' AES program. There was supposed to have been a typo in the .cfg file as: AESA_TNCM_FLT.cfg. The correction was to change the "FLT" to "FTL", but when I looked at all of the other .cfg files in the AIRPORT folder they were all typed as "FLT" and not the correction way of " FTL". (I'm trying to register in the "Fly Tampa Forum" but I'm having a small problem). Has anyone else made the correction by changing the 3 letters in the .cfg file from "FLT" to "FTL" ? Hi.I have 7 programs installed for my FS9, and i wonder if there is a way to confirm that the original FS9 files are still installed, or if some of them are missing, without having to remove and re-install FS9.ie: some sound files from FDC Alive does not work in my FS9.Thanks for any help.Edgarml

Hello,I am absolutely sick and tired of never being able to fly FS9 due to CTDS. The hours I have spent, I mean hours, is unbelievable (sound familiar). I have tried everythign except a re-install and the thought kills me. However, Now, to add insult to injury, in my Add Remove progrms list, there is no FS9 listed to uninstall. I was going to just simply re-install everything on top of my existing FS9 but without be able to uninstall it first, i can't re-install it! That's one problem. Another is that i have heard and seen that a possible cause of CTDs is a driver called realtec97 (not sure what it does, something to do with sound I think) If anyone knows how to make sure…

It seems to download but hangs up when installing, on my machine? I then get the "Flight Simulator has encountered a problem..." blah, blah, and FS9 shuts down. I need to know if it's me or the Jeppesen site before going off on a wild goose chase. I haven't flown in several months as I've been busy "flying" a U-Boat in WWII (;-)). Is it possible that some kind of update to the RWW system has occured that I'm not aware of? Any help appreciated. Vic

Whats the best addon for a good fligtsim nature experience? Im talking trees, rivers maybe flowers/flowerfields. It dosent matter whether its a general texture addon or a spesific place.-Kinetic
