hi all i was flying into KSFO today on Vatsim in a 767 and on descent the plane was buffetting alot and the speed was very erratic and jumpy and the autopilot was finding it was hard to maintain constant speed, ive noticed this behaviour all the time when its windy, whats the cause of this?

I hope this is the right forum to be posting this question it (I looked for a dedicated 737PIC forum but didn't find one)! At any rate, I need help with programming the 737PIC's FMC. Specifically, how does one input the cruise altitude in the ECON CLB, ECON CRZ, and ECON PATH DES pages? When I type, for example "33000", in the scratchpad and click on the 1L LSK, I get an error message (Invalid Entry?). "FL330" doesn't work either. I know there has to be a way to input this info,but darn if I can figure out how! Also, how does one create a name for a flight plan programmed into the 737PIC FMC and load it as can be done with the DF737 and 777 Pro)should one wish to fl…

:-sun1 Bit the bullet, let loose with the VISA, and "Yeah baby!"I've already got five or six sets of Genesis payware covering the west coast from California up to BC and Alaska, and all their free stuff, but I shelled out the $100 and now I get the whole catalog to DL at my leisure over the next three years and they're sending me two sets of DVDs to cover the whole world in FS9 & FSX. I feel like a kid in a candy store.It seems very expensive, and maybe it is, but for us flight-heads...Good thing I just got another HD. I think all that mesh is 15GB+. can anyone suggest the best add-on scenery for VFR flight? There are several to choose from and I find them all a bit confusing. I have FSGenesis mesh, just need something to go over it. Thanks!

Hi guys, for some reason, my sliders haven't been touched, but FS is cranking out alot less autogen. Any idea's?The ground textures have also started to become very very blurry at times and then it takes its sweet time to load. Any idea on that one too?Thanks fella's! :-wave

Hello AllI have downloaded quite a few of the meljet 777s and they are very good barring one thing.The planes mostly use the default MS777 cockpit,but i use one i downloaded myself,when i switch from 2d to virtual cockpit some of the models display no Vcockpit at all which is fine by me i am not VC fan but others seem to display (in Vcockpit view what looks like half a door(some sort of cabin texture)which divides the screen in two.I have tried everything to get rid of this but with no joy.It irritates me so much that i have deleted all the 777s with this glitch.Has anybody got any ideas what is occurring here and weather i can solve it?cheers Andy

It seems to me that now my sim loves to take it's sweet time. It really enjoys on my departure and approaches to blend the colors on the ground. I'm color blind so it aggrivates alot. On top of that, then it takes it's sweet time loading the proper textures.Any one have any idea's what has suddenly slowed this down?

Hello all,when I select objects using Flight 1 Instant Scenery some objects do not show textures. The EZ libraries look ok. Most of the RWY objects look OK. But... say the "Ford Transit Collection" vehicles don't show textures. I've placed them and restarted and still no textures. Is this a texture format problem? I can't see any consistency here... some DXT3 show, some DXT1 show but not all the time. I even had one where the fs9 caravam showes a texture, then when I added the object again it didn't. Hi, Could someone please explain why my coastline has been erroded. The attached screenshots show what I mean. I use FS Terrain by Just flight, UT/USA, GE Pro, Endless scenery add ons, the pictures show Aerosoft's Canary Islands/ Mallorca. But most of my coastline are like this. Could my Scenery.cfg file have layers in the wrong order, I put landclass files lower than scenery files..is this right? And Ultimate Terrain below most files, that is higher numbered. Hi Folks here some of my thoughts concerning the quality of Airbus Add-Ons for our Fs!Well actually i'm personally somehow disappointed! When Pss brought its A320 it was pretty good for its time and good enough in system deph for the simmer because it was the first serious Airbus Addon. But do i have to fly a outdated product designed for fs2002 in times when Pm** and Lev****** brought out real masterpieces of boeing aircraft?Hm...what do i want, I want an Airbus flyable from the VC, modelled fly by wire, a functional fmc, no silly and unnecessary bugs, a system deph like the PM**737!And did anyone brought a product like this?Sorry but i have to say NO!Pss: VC in FS9 not…

Hey,i have a question, i recently installed UT Europe + GE + FSGenesis Euro Mesh 76m. hii have tryed to install the service pack 2 for the ifly 747-400 i have installed it and everything went fine but when i load up the aircraft it still says version 1.00 and not the updated version any one no what has happend also i tryed to do a flight from kiad to kmco i inserted the flightplan and that was fine but i cannot click on lnav or vnav i can click on it but nothing happens the light does not illumante to say that it is working thanks in advancejimmer

Hi EveryoneCan soembody please explain to me the following:Why is flying at high altitudes (39000ft etc) regarded more economical.I normal stick at 30000ft in the pmdg 744 and can manitain air speeds around 315When I try at 39000ft the air speed falls to around 280.The planes nose is slightly raised-I think due to lower amounts of air.So why would flying at higher altitudes be more efficient.Looking forward to your help.Qas

Hi !I am having a little problem with this otherwise invaluable tool.When trying to raise/lower the eyepoint using CTRL Home / End, I find it moves too fast. Is there any way to slow this down so as to only make small vertical adjustments to this view? I am particularly having a problem with the PMDG 737 VC where I am either too low or out of the cockpit !!Any help gratefully received !!Jonny

Hi All.I was wondering if someone might be good enough to give me a few pointers on this one please.if I have a good plane model, but a poor panel, and would like to use a different panel from another model, Do I just delete the poor panel folder contents and copy the good panel contents into that respective folder ?Many thanks.

Hi,im new here and im thinking about getting FS9 and a new Joystick on Friday. Ive been looking at these cool addons that FS9 but I have a question about two of them. I want to know whats better, ProjectAI or World of AI. Also another thing, about the Joystick. Is a Logitech Wingman Attack 3 an appropriate Joystick for a non-combat flight simulator like FS9 ? Cause im thinking about buying that one.

I was running filemon and noted, besides the FS9 files, that some reads were from McShield.exe 1716. When I doubled clicked those reads it took me to the Scenery>World>texture folder.The majority of the files in Scenery>World>texture folder have .bmp for the extension. BUT I have well over 100+ files that have an .agn extension. For example 004B2an1.agn . Does anyone know if .agn is the correct extension for those files or do I have to change them to .bmp to stop McShield.exe from trying to read them ?thanksDaryll
