I have not had this happen before, when flying or taxing any aircraft the rudder will fully deflect to the left. I will step on the rudder to correct, let off the aircraft behaves normally then a few seconds later again, full deflection. My joystick is fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all. I am using 2 copies of FS9. 1 copy is devoted pretty much to late 60's/early 70's and I use it soley for AI spotting.My other copy is for flying and newer AI aircraftMy question is the AI aircraft sound naturally appears louder (and better) in "Spot View" and I currently cruise around the airfield in a bus, lol. As I dont have a panel installed on the bus, the "Virtual Cockpit" view gives me a wide and uninterupted view of the airfield. The problem is tho, is that the AI aircraft sound is much quiter (as you would expect, if u were in a bus) Is there any way the "Spot View" sound parameters can be assigned to the "Virtual Cockpit" so you can get full volume bac…

Hi,when I download my real time weather it seems to download the same weather nation wide for the last three days. I did empty my temp internet files as a troubleshoot method but no help. I've never has this problem before. Another troubleshoot method said my ISP could be caching or storing a copy of the real time weather files on their servers. Said if this is happening I would be loading the same file each day? However, four days ago everything was fine. Any ideas? ThanksLamar

What an ingrate I am. I dont want to sound ungrateful to all the excellent flight plans released by the fight planners, but why do the Cargo's get overlooked, examples being--Atlas, Express.net, Amerijet, and several others.MRAI was keeping them up to date until they folded shop. I know it is hard to do Ad-Hoc Cargo with no real schedules.So it would be "a best guess" proposition at best.Too bad, I liked keeping my cargos current. Seems all my fp's are two years or older for several cargo charters.

Hey everyone, after not having the performance that I am satisfied with for a loooooooooooong time, I've finally downloaded Filemon. It had so many entries after I exited FS9, I don't know what is what?? Under the results section, I noticed some cab files "not found" and also a couple that didn't say anything other than a blank space. For Example, usually it would say "success". If this spot is empty, is that not good as well as "not found"? Now, how do I get the files back that may be missing. I actually have a cab file for the wright flyer missing in the bunch?? How could I be missing a default file for something I have never touched or looked at since the day I have be…

I have several hundred add on sceneries within the Scenery Library. Does having them all checked as activated in the Scenery Library cause problems with performance or does it only affect the performance when you fly over them? In other words, if I am flying from New York City to Miami does the scenery that I have checked as activated in the Scenery Library for the western United States have any affect on the frame rates/performance of my flight?I would appreciate any feedback. PERFECT flight from KLGA to KMIA and during my descent, I alt-tabbed and unmounted something from my virtual drive and POOF! there goes FS9 I was so close to landing too, fspassengers flight and everythingwhen that stuff happens I just want to smash my computer lol... I'll try to renact the flight from doing a KMCO to KMIA I guess :(it really sucks when a beautiful flight is ruined by the computer

Apparently there are pay/freeware airport scenery out there that causes "memory leaks" and eventually a CTD--does anyone know of any offending addon scenery that causes CTD or similar issues? I've got pay (Cloud 9 KDCA, Imagine KCLT/KDTW, Megahubs (KORD/KATL/KJFK/KLAX etc) and free (Grimshaw's KBOS, Ashani's (?) KLGA, KPIT/KMCI--and have not had issues with CTDs till I loaded addon airport scenery several weeks ago.Trying to selectively eliminate the bad without completely deleting addon scenery folder.ThanksKemo

Simmer friends,I've been struggling for a long time to get the 50North planes flying realistically. Would any of you have tweaked aircraft.cfgs that you would not mind sharing...please :)My 50North 737s (the -300,-400, -500):-Have the roll-rate of an F16-Accelerate to 250kts during takeoff roll in 5 seconds-can climb vertically at 40,000FPM-refuse to slow down even on idle thrust (maintains 220kts, idle thrust, level attitude)I have checked the engine-thrust levels in the .cfg and theres nothing out of the ordinary. I would be grateful for any help if you have managed to get your 50North planes flying nicely.Thanx :)

I cant get my ECIAS To show it only displays for about 25 seconds! The APU And BAT with Auto Source Engauged Doesn't Work. Niether Does When The 3 Generators are runing! Or even when ext power is conneed I can get power into my lights and stuff but anything that requires a display doesn't work! Please Help Me!

Hi, I'd much appreciate any help with this:In FS9, if I have a specific aircraft with a number of different liveries, I assume all the different textures must go into separate folders (named texture.*) within the aircraft's folder.But what about common textures (e.g. cockpit, landing gear, props, etc.)?Is it really necessary to repeat these in every different texture.* folder, or they can be stored only once in a common location?Thanks in advance, best regards.

I hope this does not come off as a stupid question, but, just how many planes have Delta painted in the new livery.? Does Delta plan to paint most of their fleet in these colors.?Any new flight plans available to reflect these changes.? Ie: (Which planes have which paint scheme.) I was merrily enjoying a flight form Singapore to Melbourne in the PMDG 747 and had been without problems until with 50nm of Melbourne when the HDD started to thrash around and created a very nice (not) slide show.I 2gb of RAM with an E6600 CPU and a 8800 VC. Is there a way to convert a specific panel mouse click to a keystroke?I have a panel that requires a mouseclick in a specific spot, to change it's operational mode. This mouse click would always be in the same screen spot, on the same gauge.I'm trying to do away with as much mouse operation as possible, and this is the last thing on my list to do.Can anyone help me out on this?Thanks...Jim

Can someone please explain how to correctly install AFCAD files Ive download a few, Installation notes usually say "copy to FS9/addon scenery/scenery" or others say I must have Lee Swordys AFCAD program installed (which I have) but upon loading the appropiate Airport I still only seem to get the default one & not the upgraded one using the AFCAD file with the added extras, Ive tried adding these as an add on area but it wont see the AFCAD files, where am I going wrong some please help.

I've been thinking some more about the FS9/FSX debate and the future of FS, and I've got a few questions and points that I think might generate a bit of interesting discussion. Read on if you please...I'm no programmer or software developer, but I've heard it said FSX's performance problems are rooted in the age of its core engine. I've heard it said several times that FSX (and FS9 for that matter) isn't terribly efficient and fails to take advantage of contemporary hardware. I wonder if this is actually true? In the preview for the new Aerosoft scenery there is a picture at the gate with AES enabled. I notice that it has a catering truck and rear stairs??? Is this a new feature of the AES product and if it is will all the airports be like this??Steve

I wanted to re-emphasize something that Bill Leaming mentioned in reply to a CTD problem of another poster.He said to make sure there are no empty texture folders anywhere FS9 flies.I had several downloaded sceneries in addon scenery where I had empty texture folders. One scenery was giving me "File Not Found" logs in filemon. It had an empty texture folder which I removed. No more "Not Found" logs in that area from filemon. Another download was "Canadian Roads".
