have a strange one....for no apparent reason each time i run real world weather fs9 shuts down ...i have made no changes to the sim and have even done a system restore but to no avail...anyone any ideas ...thank you

Hi guys !I have just started to use the Posky 767-200/300 v4 aircraft. I saw on their website that they have "Dynamic flexing wings that respond to turbulence". So far I have failed to see them flex up and down at all !! Any ideas ? Certainly not flexing like the PMDG 747 - am I missing something ?ThanksJonny

Hello, I have a few questions that I hope a few of you would be so kind enough as to asnwer them for me.After getting back into Flight Simulator after a long break, I am trying to tweak the simulation and get everything where I want it before I go putting on my many addons.Currently I am working on adjusting my ground textuers to get them to a point that I feel comfortable with. My current FS9.CFG Terrain settings are as follows. I currently use the TrackIR Pro 3 with the Vector Expansion. I was wondering if anyone has the newer Pro Clip and how it compares to the Vector for use in FS9. The main difference between the two is that the Pro Clip has infarred sensors while the Vector has just reflectors. I am intersted if the actual performance is better with the Pro Clip? I really like the Tracker IR with the Vector Expansion (6 degrees of movement), but if I can make it even better I will.I also think that the TrackerIR system is the one of the best things ever invented for simmers.I searched the forums and found an AVSIM review of the Pro Clip but that article did not compare performance between th…

I have been testing my frame rates flying around London's Heathrow airport and at the airport itself. I also have Traffic 2005 and Ground Environment installed. If I try to max out all the settings in the display section I am sometimes able to get around 20 fps but it fluctuates too m…

Hi all,I recently purchased FS9 and a Saitek Evo joystick. I have started to go through the flying lessons, and I understand pretty much everything except these two things:1) If I nose up, and hold it there (in order to climb), then return the joystick to the centre position, the planes nose drops a lot til it's nose down, then eventually rises, and falls again.. shouldn't it just go back to straight and level?2) If I nose up or down, and press the relevant trim direction 3 times, the nose doesn't stay put, like it should do? I thought the purpose of trim was to hold the plane at the position you point it?Thanks for any help you can possibly give me on this!

Hi all, I fired up FS9 today only to be met with a CTD loading RW weather. Event viewer says the faulting module is util.dll, so I replaced it with a back up. I have also removed FSUIPC, undid a recent scenery install (I was so looking forward to trying out the new KMSP by FRF..), let the fs9.CFG rebuild, scanned for duplicate afcads, scanned my scenery.CFG for errors and finally checked my HD for errors - notta.The sim conncects to Jeppsen and downloads fine but CTD's as soon as it begins to load into the sim. I'm currently trying to re-install FS9, but an error message comes up halfway through installing from disk 2. It reads: "MS2004 encountered a disk error while writing to the file ....FS2004/Sound/lessons/p3-12.wav. Make sure your hard disk is not full, and that the file is not in use."My hard disk is brand new with over 130GB of free space and I shut down all other apps before installing. It gives me the option to retry but the same message just keeps on appearing, and it won't let me continue with the installation process. Any suggestions on what the problem could be??

I fly mainly in New Zealand and recently I have noticed that some (not all) runway textures while in full view on approach disappear either wholly or partialy on landing. I have 2 copies of FS9 installed. One for working and one for testing. The working copy has Red Baron New Zealand 20mesh scenery installed but both now seem to have the same problem despite renewing the config file. A classic case is NZWU "Wanganui". On approach it is in full view. On landing it progressively disappears until the aircraft comes to a halt on grass. NZNS (Nelson)shows a fragmented runway from the lookdown view.Richard.

Hey guys, quick question. I purchased Imaginesims KCVG and when AI are on approach, they land before the runway, and then sink under the runway and go underground....I dont understand, they all land at the samespot and go underground...ANy help would be great!!

Hi everyoneI am trying to understand the autopilot options in the level d 767and pmdg.I was wondering if some one would be kind and help me undersatnd thevarious 'cats' and when do you use them.Also in a previous thread there was mention of real world pilots preferring to choose manual landings.Could you please tell me what height would you switch autolanding to off-and would you switch auto throttle off at the same time or later.I have tried manual landings and I find it very difficult to maintainlanding speeds.I seem to either under or over shoot the speeds.Do real pilots switch auto throttle off just before touch down?Many thanks for your help.Qas

I have recently been experiencing FS9 crashing on me. I will start a flight and everything seems good then all of a sudden the program shuts down with no error messages and my desktop page comes up as if I hadn't even started a flight. This happens randomly. Sometimes before I even takeoff, and other times I will be halfway to my destination. Any ideas I should look into? Thanks in advance.

I have noticed this happens mostly with panels that use default(737) fs2004 panel gauges, but when the autothrottle is set on approach the airspeed/engines will be very erratic, surging up/down, even without configuration change(flaps/gear). Of course once autothrottle is disengaged manual power setting are stable. I know this is probably an old problem but i've searched everywhere and see no solution.:-wave
