Recently made the move from FS9 to FSX I wanted to just to test out a few things. I wanted to create an IFR flightplan on FSX, after everything is done and saved, everything stops and crashes. I have deleted my fsx.cfg a couple times and restarted fsx to let it rebuild the cfg file but nothing has changed. Any solutions to this?

I really need someone to help me with this every time I try to start fsx It crashes before it can even load the menu. Last time I played fsx it was little over a month ago and I had no problems with crashes at all. I started trying to play fsx about 2 days ago and this was when I first started experiencing the crashes. I could not even get to the menu in fsx like I said, but after i restarted my comp I was playing smoothly like i was months before. After thinking I fixed the problem i tried to get on today and it started again, at first I was able to get to a flight but then it crashed shortly after. Hi all. I need some help please with this out of the blue ctd. Im creating a flightplan with V-route and exporting it into fsx. I fire up fsx, load the flightplan and jump into the NGX with rcv4, AS2012, and when i shift+f10 and press navlog i get the famous "fatal error" message and fsx restarts. This is very annoying as it has just started to happen and i cant see the plan to prog the fmc. I uninstalled a few summer airports this morning, heraklion x, bari x, ibiza, ive updated fsuipc, updated netframework but still get this ctd. Im running win7 64 fully updated, i have fsx on its own ssd. This has only just started to happen. Any ideas guys?…

Hi. After installing "rexessentials plus" FSX kind of.. Well.. Doesn't work at all any more. Trying to load up the NGX results in a CTD. Trying anything ends with CTD sooner rather than later. Now I feel like I have to do a clean install. If any of you guys don't have an idea? Reinstalling everything feels, well, like a major pain in the back-end. I'd prefer not having to. Hello; I have been following these posts about CTD's and have some questions. My FSX recently began to "Crash"(?). What happens is it loads normally, goes to my default start flight. I press Fly Now, the flight loads, I appear on the ramp, in the VC ready to go. Then FSX just shuts off. I am back at the desk top. Its strange and instantaneous. It just disappears. Happens everytime. I recently installed a hotfix/update for the OV-10 from aerosoft. It is the only change. But, I have uninstalled this aircraft, and still the same problem. I have followed some of the sugestions here, and have run the original Disks in Repair mode, for both FSX Deluxe and Acceration. No fix.…

Hey Jim, So the CTD problem started up again. I have been flying the PMDG 747 on FSX. Every so often, probably every 5 flight or so, it has been freezing. Lately it has been doing it every single flight. Very frustrating. I installed My Traffic 2010 yesterday, which I don't think is the problem and also after looking at the forums, put the UIAutomationcore.dll file in my FSX root folder. Now I just was doing a long haul flight and about 2 hrs into it, I clicked the "accent mark key" (to bring up the atc window) once I clicked that....boom...frozen. Not quite a CTD as FSX will no longer even start! The opening screen appears, then nothing until "A fatal error occurred" Seems there is something wrong with simprop.dll, despite having repaired the installation from the original disc. Any suggestions?

This is getting to be a bigger and bigger problem especially with more high-fidelity addons coming out like A2A, RealAir, NGX, etc. Combined with scenery packages, MyTraffic X (traffic set at about 30-35%), and sceneries (i.e. Manhattan X, FSDT KJFK, KLAS and Las Vegas X, Flightbeam KSFO and San Francisco X), FSX is crashing with increasing frequency. My machine is more than capable of handling FSX at high settings. I have a new i7 3rd gen with Radeon 7850. Additionally I have followed the tweaks recommended by Word Not Allowed. Recently I've been getting a number of weather.dll CTD's - probably multiple times per day... I'm only using in game real world weather (static and dynamic - no difference). Is this something like the UIautomationcore.dll that I need to download? Any suggestions?

Hi Guys, Has anyone else been having this problem. It seems to be a ProAtc problem because the defult ATC works without a problem. Have tried the default plans in ProAtc and ones I made myself, but 9 out of 10 freeze P3D at some stage during the flight, (but not ProAtc). There seems to be no patten when the freezing happens. I think some people are having the same problem in FSX, but it is not a wide spread issue with this program. Myself and a few others have reported this to the devs at ProAtc, but no solution has been posted on their forum yet. Ok so here is the deal. I've been using Windows 7 for years now and have gotten so fed up with all the various CTD. From G3D.dll (now fixed by FSUIPC) to Stackhash, ntdll.dll you name it. I've used the aiautomation tweek from vista and I've never had that crash but everyone of them besides that. Anyways over the last week now I've decided to take a completely different approach with my system. I remember when FSX came out in 2006 and it was to showcase windows Vista. So I thought way back when I hade windows XP and how FSX ran back then. Ever since a certain date (a few weeks ago), every helicopter that I install ends up freezing FSX just before it loads. All the helicopters installed before that date work fine, but everything installed since (which has all been freeware) has completely frozen FSX. This happens regardless of whether I load the helicopter first thing, after loading the default flight, or after switching from another aircraft. Any ideas? Thanks, boeing247

Didn't see a forum for FSNav legacy products or the newer FSTramp for FSX, so I'm asking this here. I get a CTD every time I run FSTramp in both full screen and windowed mode. It always lists terrain.dll as the faulty module. I know others had this issue from the other the thread (which is dead) but wondered if anyone managed to solve it on their own. I emailed the developer and he told me it's because of unstable overclocked hardware...well I don't overclock anything and my system is stable as a rock. I have yet to hear back from him after telling him that. Any user fixes out there? I can't even run the trial.

After 4 years of error free problems in FSX, I started getting some random crashes when using AS2012 on a networked computer with FSX. What happens is sometimes when I either lower AI while in flight, or make any AI adjustments, when the FSX screens is black and the AI reloading screen is present, when it gets to 100% it hangs and I end up with a CTD and the normal error message. After reading thru some of the threads here, Jim recommends downloading AppCrashViewer to help diagnose the problem, however on that site it says its only compatible with Vista, Win7 and Windows Server 2008. Hi, I hope someone can help. I have receently been getting CTD while on approach. All runs smoothly then bang! I have a few (over 20) add on airports on my system. Could these be causing my issues? Is it possible to have to many addon airports in FSX? If anyone can help or suggest anything it would be great. Cheers Ben Morton

Hi As the above title says I am one of the many FSX users out there experiencing "FSX not responding". I have done many searches on google, downloaded and used the "uiautomationcore.dll" but still no avail. I notice that about approx within 10 mins fromT/off into flight I suddenly find FSX freezing with the sound in the background still play, then I have to close it down manually from Task Manager. I have recently purchased a new computer and it runs FSX great! Bad news is, it crashes almost every flight I try at random times. I have researched and have tried the UIAutomationCore.dll fix. FSRecorder keeps causing a fatal error with FSX, but in a strange way. It works fine for a while, but after a set number of uses (I'm not sure exactly what it is, as it depends on what features I use, but typically after I've recorded twice), I'll click on the FSRecorder option in the menu bar, and FSX freezes, then crashes. This has happened with every version I've installed. Is this a common problem? And is there a fix? Thanks, boeing247

I've installed Ut2 2.09 and run fsx on win 7 x64 with an ati 5850 (i7 2600k at 4.7ghz).. i get fairly smooth (non weather) performance of around 30 fps (locked 30fps)... I've found that after installing ut2 and setting the two ut2 based options to 100% and checked off.. while letting fsx ai set to 0 and 0 for ga/airlines.. that the sim will literally freeze at random for maybe 2 seconds.. then continue on at full frame rate. This is before hitting the addons option to even start UT2 traffic. I also think i've found that if i hit the addon option to reset traffic.. then start, then hit stop on traffic.. it will smooth out and not run into this.. but this is ted…

Hi chaps, just wondering who can help us out here. We have recently built a homebuilt flight simulator working on windows 7 64b, it has 7 screens working off 4 graphic cards Radeon HD5450 1GB. When we first set it up FSX would work fine but because we didnt have DVI-I output on the graphic cards we only had 4 screens so we swapped the cards for identical ones (above) which outputted on VGA and DVI-I at the same time. We have now fixed the issue and all screens are working fine, however when we started FSX it prompted a 'Unable to connect to FSUIPC' error and wouldn't load.
