Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum

Hi, I want to try out the uiautomationcore.dll tweak in order to cure my system from random fsx CTD crashes. In my fsx.exe- directory, there is a file called ui.dll. Do I need to delete/ rename it before pasting the uiautomationcore.dll in the same directory or I just leave it as it is? Thanks, Ulrich

Shalom and greetings all my pals,' I was flying from CYRB to BGTL and during this flight, I experienced three freeze episodes called APPHANGB1. Very strange. The error message APPHANGB1 never happened to me in six years of FSX flying. I did not make changes to FSX or anything. I just Windows update last night but Windows updates never affect FSX or Sqwkbox or anything. So far I managed to revive the flight and now is continuing the flight from CYRB to BGTL. I am using Windows 7 Professional and FSX with SP1 and SP2 as well as latest versions of SQWK BOX 4.0 and FSUIPC. Aharon

Hey guys. I know this was already addressed and answered on the maddog forum but the forum isn't loading so I can't find the solution. I'm just trying flythemaddog 2008 on FSX for the first time and when i load the aircraft from the aircraft selection screen FSX CTDs on me. I also tried loading the cessna first and starting a flight, then loading the maddog.......same problem. Does anyone know the solution to this? Thanks. - Ian

Hi guys can anyone help me on here? I have been using FSX for around 2 years now with no problems untill a few months ago when all of a sudden FSX will crash and display a blank screen for 2 second then shutdown my computer. The sim will only run for about 10-20 mins which is extremely frustrating. There is no warning or fatal error message. I have tried deleting the FSX.CFG file incase it has become corrupted but with no joy. I aslo thought the CPU could be overheating so I got a CPU temp monitor, when the comoputer is idle its at about 55-65 centigrade and when FSX is running its at 75-85 centigrade which seems to be normal. hey guys, i posted this topic on the pmdg 737 forum but they said i should come here. I live in Australia so i fly all around australia. Lately i have been flying alot of legs from brisbane to sydney airport. The thing is as soon as im about 3000Ft near sydney FSX will say an error has occured then it will restart. again i use the pmdg 737 NGX and sometimes the instruments will freeze and you have no LIVE instruments so they will be stuck on 3000 FT 150 KNOTS when really ur at 1000FT and 142 KNOTS. I've just purchased the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro, and suddenly FSX won't even launch. The AppCrashView log is below. Hi all of a sudden today I started getting blue screen memory dumps and reboots on my Win 7 computer after being quite stable since May of this year. I have the dmp files placed on my skydrive and need someone to look that them and tell me what the issue could possible be. I have not run into this issue and all I know is that I have 17gig of space left on my hardrive and my flight sim and other programs randomly give me a low on memory or low hd space when running random things like FS9, or even browsing the web.... Well there is a first time for everything. Got a completely rebuilt desktop for Christmas, A 64 bit machine. Loaded everything back into a fresh empty, other than the Win 7 pro OS, with no problems. Fired up FSX, all the service packs are installed, as well as the Accellerator package. The problem; everytime I reboot I loose the CH drivers for the yoke and pedal. I have to recycle them by unpluging and repluging them into the USB ports. One on the PC, the other on a 2.0 USB port. Hey guys and gals, My frustration has peaked with this one. I reformatted my hd this past weekend to "upgrade" from Win8 x64 to Win7 x64 for the controller disconnect issues with 8. Since then I frequently get the g3d.dll CTD. I have 2 failed flights today. The first on was on 20nm final into FSDT KLAX v2 and the second one was around 20nm final into default KDEN. Scarlett's post on Sunday says it could be corrupt scenery installation so I reinstalled FSDT KLAX. I have Bojote's tweaking tool, FSUIPC4 (unregistered) and followed NickN's guide for installation. Hello everyone, whenever I fly on FSX and select an aircraft (other than the default Trike) my FSX crashes at 83%. It says loading ATC when it crashes and it happens everytime I load a default or addon aircraft So I can't change it until I'm flying. It really bugs me. Please help.

Hi guys I have a reasonable setup. Not cutting edge for sure, but I'm still getting OOMs after a complete reinstall and checking all MS software & drivers etc. It only happens when I'm pretty much hammering the system... All settings nearly maxed except autogen, which I keep a bit lower. This happens always now when using FTX England, UK2000 Gatwick EGKK on approach, with the magical 737NGX by PMDG. Often, I do actually manage to touchdown before it quits, giving the std oom message, but mostly it happens on finals :-( Am I just pushing to hard, or is there a fix? Hey all, I've got quite the issue here. A week ago I added new RAM to my computer as it only had 2GB, and I added the same RAM that was compatible with my computer model (Inspiron 530). After I installed the 2GB, it said 3.25GB of RAM, after research this appeared to be normal as I am running a 32-bit system, so 3.25GB is just about the cap there. But now, after 10-60 minutes after I start a flight I get an error message saying either: "A fatal error has occurred" OR "FSX has experienced a problem and needs to close" Also, sometimes, FSX simply refuses to keep working and freezes up with the hourglass cursor emblem on the screen. After a new install of FSX on Windows 7 x64, FSX is randomly crashing when clicking on in-game menus. Note: this is not the UIAutomationcore.dll problem, FSX is not crashing because of clicking the menu bar, it crashes if I, say, change the weather theme and click "ok," FSX will load and when it's at 100%, it will crash. Also, I am occasionally getting crashes when clicking "end flight" but I believe that is due to the ENB series that's installed, as it references "d3d9.dll" and NOT "nvd3dum.dll." Just recently bought an SSD and a new Velociraptor drive for FSX. I've gotten everything installed but am having issues. Haven't been able to fly the NGX yet because most times if i'm doing something in FSUIPC and then exit, the scenery disappears and then the monitor starts flashing then FSX crashes. Hi guys, Experiencing some strange issues after installing a new 660 ti in my system (E7500 oc'd to 3.63 ghz, 4gb 1333 DDR3). Previously had a 450GTS working with zero issues. Uninstalled previous card, went through the driver uninstall as I normally do, installed the new card and then the 306.97 drivers. First the flight would load as normal but would get ground and terrain shaking. After uninstalling then re-installing the driver I get a fatal error (Crash details are attached in the .txt file).
