Hello, I'm new here. I've experienced a blue screen crash on a 30-minute flight from Norfolk to Richmond during my decent to the runway. But I don't know why, since I did a 3-hour, 30-minute flight from a fictional airport 1800 nm SSW of Hawaii to Honolulu. The longer flight had a rougher framerate at the end, while the shorter flight had a lower detail level setting and higher framerate at the end. So why did the shorter flight (from Norfolk to Richmond) blue-screen? The only difference other than the detail level was that the simulator was actually recording a replay of the flight during the shorter flight while the longer flight was not being recorded. This isn't exactly a crash, but often times FSX will minimize to the task bar while in full screen mode, and for no apparent reason. It takes a lot of double clicking to bring it back up and resume the flight. Usually the first two or three times of trying to bring it back up it goes straight back to the task bar. This occurs with any add-on, and external add-ons on or off, like AS2012. Also, I did the highmemfix and that solved my sim locking up in the middle of flights. Any suggestions on the minimizing?

Hi, Here's my problem, I've been having the blurry scenery problem. I play around with the settings and things look great for a few minutes then go blurry. Today on a flight from JFK to ATL it happened again. So I set the sliders to a rather extreme setting to the right. My system is pretty decent, everything went fine until I got fairly close to Atlanta and suddenly "fatal error" I looked at the event viewer and the cause of the crash was the infamous g3d.dll. I installed the latest version of FSUIPC since I read that this fixex this particular problem. Possibly I was wrong? So, I've been having strange CTD's once I begin to taxi, which has been a frustration, because I can barely even get off the ground! Now here's the details. It starts out on an Air Hauler flight in Japan. I loaded my JS4100 via AirHauler to do a small regional cargo flight, and everything went well until I had my engines started. Once my engines started and I pushed back, I began to turn onto the taxiway to taxi to the runway, and FSX froze. CPU usage went to 0%, and my RAM stood at a steady 55%. Well, Here we go again. I haven't seen CTD's for sometime now and thought it would be safe to install GEX because I've been doing a lot of night flying and the UTX/FSX night lighting is poor, like a halo, as I'm sure everyone here knows. Anyway, last night I decided to purchase and install Flight1 GEX 1.095. I have the freeware version of FTX - KHMQ and the first time I installed GEX I forgot to set FTX back to default. So I got some write errors. Set FTX back to default re-installed and set FTX back to FTX. BTW: also just upgraded my power supply to 1000W. Hi, Unlike some of the freeze issues listed in this forum, a friend I am helping is not only getting an FSX freeze issue (FSX abruptly halts), but I can no longer get control of the system by performing a CTL-ALT-DEL action. Everything is locked up. My only recourse is to do a hardware reset. Any suggestions? Bill Clark

I was completing a roughly 2.5 hour flight from LatinVFR KEYW to Imaginesim TJSJ, and as I was touching down on the runway, I experienced an application hang. The sim didn't CTD, which I've experienced before, it just hung. The Event Viewer shows the error as an application hang, and doesn't identify anything other than FSX.exe as being at fault. It was my first flight on my rebuilt rig. I was in the NGX, with AS2012 active, Aivlasoft EFB, and the latest version of FSUIPC. A quick search of the forum didn't yield any conclusions about the cause of this type of error. Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hello Folks, I have been having an issue in high scenery areas, most specifically in the London area. I have high traffic, and scenery active for EGLC EEGKK and EGLL. The combination seems to always make me get the "out of memory" error on final into either EGLC or EGLL, despitre the fact my system has a whopping 24GB of RAM. I have taken some looks at the posts available and I'm just not seeing anything helpful for me. My specs are as follows: Windows 7 2600K i7 Processor 24 GB RAM and if there anything else pertinant you need to help me, please let me know, and thank you all for your help in advance!

Upon starting FSX today, I get an immediate message as follows: " Flight Simulator cannot run because it could not write FSX.CFG." I wonder if any of you have seen this before, and Thanks, Gary

Never ever come across this .dll bringing FSX to its knees. Anyone any ideas what it is? Here I go again. In last two days I received two blue screens. I was flying from Keflavik to JFK, At 380FL ,100NM to JFK suddenly I got Blue Screen. I was in my return flight from Easter Island SCIP to Mexico City MMMX. 200 nm to destination. Suddenly FSX stopped, Five minutes later Task Manager reported FSX is Running. Then I received the following warning "Flight Simulator cannot run during a Remote Desktop Session and will exit" I never see this warning . Do you know why did happen? Thanks

Hello everybody this is not a new problem but a new answer to an old problem. Many times it has been addressed that NTDLL.DLL errors occur on our FSX and it is known that troubleshooting these problems is extremely difficult. I have an OC Core i7 930 System with a Win7 and a Sapphire Toxic-OC ATI Radeon HD5850 and Onboard 3D Sound. I have FSX Acceleration, Pilots' FSGlobal Europe&Africa, UTX Europe, UTX USA, GEX North America, GEX Europe, FEX and ActiveSky Evolution. Recently I put together a new rig (first time!) dedicated to FSX and installed my add-ons. It has been working fine until I visit certain add-on airports (FSDT KLAS and BP KSFO) (flying the 737NGX). When I am in final app or taxing to the gate suddenly there is a OOM error and it advices to reduce the settings in FSX. There is no consistency in the advice from the "FSX gurus", some said that modifying the pagefile should help (I have it set to 3072-3072 as advised by NickN), some others even say that there is no other op…

Sometimes, not always, after i close a successfull flight, with pmdg 737ngx and close fsx, I get the message that fsx stopped working and asks if i want to restart the programm. Not a big problem but anoying, and i wonder why. Whenever I go into Free Flight and select any QualityWing 757 aircraft, it just closes the whole program. It doesn't freeze up and say fatal error occured or anything but just simply closes. I can still go in and edit my flight number or the callsign. I have SP2 on here.

I have been getting the APPHangB1 Error the first time I start FSX after my computer is off. It is usually happening when I load up the NGX and mostly during the initialization period. I have to hit ctrl alt dlt and end program. However when I start FSX again, no issues at all. Any ideas? I am using EZDok, GSX along with some addon sceneries.

I am super bummed. Like an idiot I tried to get enb to work and have really screwed up my fsx. I have taken all enb associated files out of FSX and am still getting black screens and fatal error ctd's that enb started. I have since totally scrubbed the driver of my system and deleted every single nvidia folder even from the registry and reinstalled the 296.10 driver again. I was having full stability with this driver and since my enb escapade am now not. The black screen comes and then recovers back to FSX.
