okay so this hasn't been happening for me ever before now, the last two flights i've tried doing, both into KLAS, I've gotten a CTD. One time it happened when I had landed and was holding at bravo, the second time it happened was when I was turning onto the loc and my screen just froze. Sometimes I wonder if its because I have a habit or switching views all the time, for example I will continually look in and out of my cockpit so maybe this has a stress on my system but other than that i don't know. Hey guys,Is there a known fix for crashes related to ntdll.dll? I want to play flight simulator, but the thought of doing all the work to create a flight plan, do the preflight & FMC, set up all the appropriate programs (FS2Crew, Radar Contact, Active Sky, etc) only to have a CTD because of ntdll.dll during pushback or taxi kills any urge I had to play the game. This morning, after wasting an hour on all the appropriate preflight-to-taxi steps and procedures I had my third CTD caused by ntdll.dll out of the four flights I've attempted in recent months.It's tiresome.I took a glance at google and the rest of the avsim forums, but didn't really find anything concrete abo…

Hello everyone,I have gotten two CTD's while using the PMDG NGX that pointed to the module in the topic. I thought I'd ping the forum and see if anyone else has had this issue. I was sitting at the gate programming the FMC when it ocurred. I had just started FSPassengerX and was plugging in my TOW when the crash happened. I'll ask this as more of a generic question. The problem is, very recently, that I get a CTD (white screen lockup) during loading FSX anytime my aircraft is in the Seattle - Portland area. The progress bar slows then stops around 50% loaded and never gets beyond that. I can load the startup screen and choose any alternate area and fly completely normally. I'm guessing it is a damaged or missing .BGL file or whatever file is being loaded at the 50% point on the progress bar. I have deleted fsx.cfg and let it rebuild that. I have changed aircraft to default with no luck. FSX loads and runs completly normally anywhere else on the globe with any aircraft I choose. Sin…

Hi,I have been reading a lot on this external fps limiter online and it had very good reviews. btw, i am not sure if this is the correct place i should be putting this. feel free to move it :) now on to the point. I cant seem to find any working links on the external fps limiter. And some people commented that it does not work in vista. Is this true? I have a 32-bit vista system. Thanks :)

Only posting this because it worked for me on my system may not be the solution for anyone else but it could be worth a try and easy to do. I changed my mem setting from unganged to ganged in the bios. Not 1 ctd since I did this.

Hi, This has been happening for awhile now but just discovered this board. About 90% of the time if after flying awhile and I change just the time I get FSX to shut down. I can change the season, airport, A/C with no problem. Any ideas what could cause this? Like I said it's happened for a while now, ( I don't know what add-on would cause it). Hey all,I'm having a new problem with FSX. It used to be that every once in a while a flight would fail to load in FSX with a d3d9.dll error (e.g. once the flight finished loading, when it would normally drop me into the aircraft, it crashed). In the last couple of days that has become almost every single time and almost every single airport. Hi guys,I had now two time the same CTD in FSX. I minimized FSX inflight to check some things. Normally this is no problem but lately it happened that it minimized and closed imediately. Several time before everything went perfectly well. No command to do such was given and also the event viewer has no crash recognized. Has someone a clue why this happend?

Hi all,I have had CTDs occassionally like most have over the years. Episodically they would worsen and I'd always figure out something like reinstall FSX which would work for a while. For a long time I loaded and opened FSX twice in a row to the starting airport which made all the difference, but lately that failed. I recently traded in my old 8800 GTS for a 560GTS and put FSX on a dedicated SSD.....still have the crashes. They happen after some time, an hour or so...therefore they generally happen only on LD flights....which I love so this is torturing me. The crash is sudden, no warning, and dosen't seem related to game stress such as heavy weather or frame rate issues.…

hi guys....first time poster here cause this has never been an issue. I've had fsx gold for over a year with no problems. All of a sudden,I'm getting this. i create a flightplan and it places me on the runway. When i open the NavLog popup (the "check" sign on the panel) and click on anything else(Ref;Briefing;Messages:etc) it's ok. Please help. A lot of my games freeze for a second, then minimize and will not open back up, so basically most of my games are having CTD problems. It happens most frequently in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but also happens a lot in battlefield 3 and once or twice in Shogun 2 and Batman: Arkam city. My graphics drivers are updated and no programs are running in the background. Please help.

So I have been using FSX for only 2 months. Never had any problems with freezing or whatnot. But then again I really didn't even know how to fly either. I would usually just hop in a plane or heli and fly around. A buddy of mine is a pilot and taught me a few things about autopilot and whatnot and I'm hooked. The only add-ons I've got for it is a FeelThere Wilco Airbus Evolution package, and FS2Crew to interface with the package. I also have FSUIPC and FSInn for VATSIM flights. I am getting CTD when I change my location in FSX. Not every time, but usually after I have been flying somewhere else in the world. It doesn't happen when I start from the 'Create Flight screen'. It did before with Thomas Kwong's HK VHHH scenery but I have deleted that and Hong Kong works now.Yes I have a number of PAYWARE sceneries installed, Level D (also Payware) 767 and CLS A330-340.My computer is a Core2Duo with 2GB RAM and a GTX550Ti (new) card. I get a CTD when using the GPS (both default GPS and just flight's freebie). This happens about two thirds of the time when trying to enter the ICAO code into the GPS. I've seen the problem mentioned in various places on the internet, but no one seems to have a clue about it. The problem seems to be associated with the facilities.dll file. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as it's an annoying little problem.

Hi guys,out of the blue my FSX stoped working. I just installed 3 sceneries (But they weren´t activated till now) and one plane. The eventmanager tells me that visualfx.dll is the culprit here. I never had a problem like this. Does someone have an idea how to fix this?

I run Win7 Pro (x64) and downloaded ccleaner v3.12.1572 (x64) from Filehippo.com yesterday.I ran the ccleaner X64 and then tried to run FSX and the FSX splash screen just hung with the mouse circle spinning. I have a baseline image for my drives but, had forgotten to back up my rewards/flights and just restarted those over again. I didn't know what caused the first hangup..so after the second install and after getting the "beginner" rewards back, I closed up shop for the night. Not had these before.The blue screen said something regarding a second processor or something?Anyway i was 30 minutes in to my flight from KSEA to YBCS and the 1st hit. Sceen froze for 5 seconds whilst the sound made that horrible noise, then the BSOD kicked in.Now, i changed my Affinity mask from 14 to 20 after reading some forum, could this be the issue? (i ask this due to the BSOD mentioning a second processor.)I have since changed my Affinitymask back to 14, and restarted the flight from my rough position, and thus far all is ok.Thoughts?
