Well, I can fly my FOKKER now without a CTD, but I had to uninstall , which I hated to do, Orbix Pacific Northwest, don't even want to think about it. But as far as the real cure to me and, as I read this and other forums, many more FSXers, this has become a JOB. Just what do you mean, well when I come home from work or just come home I would like to sit down and just relax and play my FSX, but Noooo this is a second job, deleting files, downloading this and that. Half the time you're taking the advice of someone who probably doesn't know anymore about it than I do. But I think how to find the real fix for the CTDs is for Microsoft or someone else to put up $10,000 or …

I, too, am having problems with the famous CTDs. Have tried most everything, downloads, uploads, drivers,discs, forums, so-called experts, new and the latest computers with 500GBs, trillabytes of memory are all useless. It's all a hunt and peck process to try and find the answer. I think instead of trying to fight it out on these forums, Microsoft, and or these add-on companies should be finding out what their problem is as it would be to their benefit to do so, as I am not going to buy any more add-ons for FSX. Before I start uninstalling my scenery and terrain one by one to try and find out if I can stop my CTDs , id like to know first if I have too much of a good thing and I am just spinning my wheels as far as to much scenery? Here is my list [ Ground environment x USA Canada Alaska / FS GlobalX 2008 / Ultimate terrain X / ORBIX USA CANADA pacific northwest ] . I've been running Microsoft FSX on a Windows Vista 64-bit PC for a few months with no problems until today. Suddenly when I try to start FSX it goes to the opening splash screen and then just sits there forever with the little wheel going around. Yesterday I ran it for over 4 hours with no problems. The only thing new I've installed lately is CoPilot Pro. I tried uninstalling it, but FSX still won't start. I tried System Restore, still no help. Uninstalled and reinstalled FSX and SP1 and SP2, still no go! Any suggestions?

Hello everyone. I'm in the planning mode of building a monster computer to run FSX with lots of add-ons. Some key specs include an i7 950, 12 GB RAM, nVidia GTX 580, etc... I plan on running REX, Ultimate traffic 2, and of course all the favorite payware planes like PMDG's 747 and Level-D's 767, and the Flight 1 Cessna Mustang. I was about to order FSX today and something told me to hold on and check compatibility of FSX with Windows 7. I've researched about it a little bit and saw that there were some issues of it crashing when windows 7 came out.Has that issue been cleared up?? Thanks!!

Hi, I downloaded FPS Limiter .2 when I double click on the fps limiter.exe file it runs. I am not sure how to use this tool. I do not see any interface to utilize to set FPS. Is it automatically applied to 30FPS. Any guidance is appreciated it. If you know a better link, please post. Thanks :( EditI got the FSX.EXE.Limiter on my desktop. How do I see the frame rates?

Okay guys, the last few times leaving KATL on TATL flights, I've crashed due to an ATC.DLL failure. I'm running FSX, and thought that this problem was confined to FS9.Could this faulting module be something more nefarious than it seems? It's starting to drive me crazy, but only seems to occur on TATLs from KATL.Brandon Stroud

I , have CTDs I had an old TRAFFIC 2006, that I could not uninstall, I used [ REVOUNIN] free for 30 days, it works especially for those hard to uninstall problems, and where ever else that they might be sprinkled in other files. So anyway after that I uninstalled all of my MEGA SCENERY, I had 3 for the KSFO area, and one for Washington state KSEA area 4 GBs, maybe if there is a memory crash problem , thats a hit.

Here it is, go to your nearest drugstore, get some DISTILLED water and sprinkle it all over your computer, but make absolutely sure that FSX , I have to repeat it again, that you make sure FSX is running, then with the rest of the water pour it all over the keyboard,. If nothing happens, then keep trying until something does. [ PLEASE DONT TRY THIS. IT'S JUST TO SHOW YOU DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ.]

Having experienced many CTD `S while running addon airport scenery i found periodical crashes in various parts of Europe, after removing said scenery all`s well,i think my system cannot cope with the added load, it`s as simple as that. try reducing the load and see if it cures the problem.

Hi,I've been having a nightmare getting FSX working on my new system detailed below. After finally getting stable after intalling Addon's PMDG, Level-D,etc. (NO Wilco products!). After an intensive 2 weeks of troubleshooting and many failed intall attemps. FSX was stable. I Defraged with Ultimate Defrage 3 (Folder/ Name) still very stable. Next I installed several Megascnery earth tiles. Then I went to defrag the OS (Windows 7 64 Proffession) on a completly seperate drive. FSX is totally unoperational. FSX freezes and is stuck at 0% loading. FSX freezes with in initial Windows. Will not load sim at all. I've deleted the logobook.ini and FSX.CFG no avail still 100% crash …

Has anyone had any luck identify what the conflict is between FSX and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dllI've been getting many CTD's with the above module being at fault, I do have add on scenery and go flight modules but I've only recently seen this when I added the GF-TQ6 throttle quadrant, could hardware be the problem? Hi all-I just purchased the FSDT Hawaii airports and it looks to be pretty good, until I get a crash to desktop about 1 minute into a flight. Anyone else have this problem? I've never had a CDT with this system, at least until now.Win764bit/12gb ram/GTX580/i965

Hi folks. Ive built up my i7 beast with NVidia card. Installed all my ORBX stuff and payware planes, running very well on Windows 7 6 bit. Lots of FSX fun for a few months. Then i experimented by pressing the direct x 10 preview, as i had done in the past on other PC systems. When i restarted FSX, i hear the music but cant see the game on top of my desktop. There is an FSX icon placed on the taskbar. All attempts to right/left/double click etc gives me no success. I cant get back into the game to disable direct x 10 preview. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone! I have over 200 hrs behind with FSX and now, after the reinstall FSX has started to crash during almost every flight! It gets really annoying when you are trying to fly but it crashes always. It seems that the failing module is usually called UIAutomationCore.dll. Any suggestions how to fix this? When I run FS, I get a CTD whilst the initial splash screen is showing. This started happening after I downloaded Cloud9 (now on FSDT's) Amsterdam scenery, from the FSDT website. This installs several bglman files in the Modules folder. The problem, and what is causing the CTD, is that there is one copy of the file Esellerateengine.dll in the (hidden) folder C:\ProgramData\Esellerate, which is as it should be for Windows 7, but every time I run FS9, a second copy of the file installs into the C:\Windows folder (which was correct for Windows XP, I think). Having the latter file there causes FS to CTD. I remove the latter file and FS starts fine this time, but installs the …

Seems, everytime I get an ILS set up , thats when things start to go crazy,like it wont respond, it will just freeze, but not much of that with the not so advanced planes, my big trouble is with the fokker 70/100,or the new panel for the 747,seems whenFSX takes a high end hit it will stop {freeze} and show out of memory. I wounder if most everyone having this trouble is having it with these more advanced planes? If so then these manufactures need to fix there products, so they are compatable with FSX,or no one will buy anymore add-ons,why would they, if they wont work?

Yea, I to have this problem with freezing, Ive read about all these so-called fixes which have FSXrs uninstalling and re installing , and maybe even getting newer computers. There seems to be one thing almost everyone has in common, That is THE ACCELERATION add-on, I think that MICROSOFT should come up with a fix for ACCELERATION.

When the new FLIGHT comes out, does anyone know if the FSX add-ons can be used? Or do you have to buy new ones? I think it would be wise and wait and see if any of the old problems are still presant?

Hello everyone, I've been dealing with an issue for awhile now and i just can't find a solution. Basically, when flying larger aircraft (ex. PMDG 747, Wilco airbus series; it's also happened with small GA aircraft too), the graphics start off very good, but over time get worse and worse. This usually happens after I enter a menu (such as the map screen or settings). The first symptom occurs after you exit a menu and return to the sim; the VC of the plane is gone, and the exterior only shows the animated portions of the model (such as flaps, aleriorons, rudder, gear, etc)Sometimes, I can get the sim working again by hitting ESC twice. I am getting this error during flights randomly when accessing the menu tabs. I'm using FSX with FSEconomy and Open Clouds. It's strange because I can fly days at a time with out it happening, then might get it two or three flights in a row.
