I dusted off FSX on Windows 7 after a 2 month hiatus (I usually play FS9 on WinXP, my primary OS) and somehow I got this, almost as if DirectX is in 'software mode':If I switch to DX10 preview mode everything in FSX looks and works great, but If I disable DX10 preview and run in DX9 I get corrupted graphics from the very start. (At the 3d aircraft display in the 'create a flight' menu)I have reinstalled Directx and the Nvidia Drivers with driver sweeper, uninstalled nHancer and disabled ENB and everything else + FSX.cfg rebuilt from scratch, moved graphics sliders to minimum and sound quality to lowest (16bit, CD Quality) and I still can't get it right. Hello i have some Problems everytime when i play in Multiplayer and then press "Start Flight" my FSX frezes at 86% and Crashes with an ntdll.dll Error.But when i fly in Single Player my FSX works perfect

Hey Guys, FSX has worked well for me for a while now, but tonight I tried to install the new FSPassengersX that I bought and it got bad fast. At first I was not even able to open up FSX, so I have uninstalled everything (and I mean everything) that I have installed to FSX. Yet, still I open FSX and it runs; I can go through everything, but when I open up to go to Free Flight the 3D model of the Trike does not display in the box and then I get a Fatal Error. Any idea what this could be coming from? Any help is much appreciated.~Flyer

FSX has been CTD lately very frequently lately, and the only thing I have done is install AVG, now there could be another cause, and that is what I am asking, I run windows vista, and want to know the next time it happens?

Hey all,I'm picking up an odd but frustrating problem. FSX is fine and appears to close fine when I exit. There is no CTD while flying. However when I check the performance reliability in Windows, it shows the the app crashed at the time I closed/exited the sim. No error message ever comes up though. I am getting close to giving up, please help me!I have copy of FSX Gold and it had been running on a 64-bit copy of Windows 7. (its an i7 laptop with a 5000 series gpu, if that helps) It had been running fine but it was on my C drive, which was running out of space, so I moved it to D. I had some problems when I deleted some software from my system. The problem was that the deleted program took out Hawaii and Alaska. I did a fresh install of all software and FSX was back up and running. Problem is that when I connect to Vatsim, using FSInn, it crashes FSX. It happens every time. I can even bring FSInn up and it will cause no problem. I know that this will not apply to every case, but having read many of the posts here over the years, a lot of the advice given seems to be based on presumed display driver or hardware problems. There is also a misapprehension that if you see in Event Viewer that the module at fault is fs9.exe or fsx.exe, that that file is the cause of the problem. It the exe file itself hardly ever is the root cause of a CTD.I just want to say that my very strong advice to anyone getting a CTD during a flight (or loading thereof) is, as a first step, to disable all 3rd. party addon scenery - including all AFACDs - and see if the crash still occurs. HI All,I have what i believe is a very stable system that has been running fine for 12 months without any issues at all.I installed Nvidia Drivers 258.96 the other day and had my first crash this evening after 2 hours of stable flight. I Initially tried to re start the flight using auto save and it crashed within 5 seconds of the last autosave. Never had that before!I have rolled the nvidia drivers back and it is still crashing. Hi all. I have a very annoying issue that almost always happens when I press alt enter to go from Full Screen to Windowed mode. I have had this issue ever since I upgraded from XP64 to windows 7 64. I start most of my flights in windowed mode so I can work with other apps (TOPCAT, Active Sky Evolution, fuel planners) to prepare for flight. I then go full screen when I'm ready for departure. Once at cruise, I alt enter to windowed mode so I can keep tabs of weather in ASE or web browsing. I suddenly started to get this error message tonight - the first time I had ever seen it. Looking at a number of threads here and elsewhere I see many people suspect their hardware, but I managed to solve the error (by trial - and (lots of) error!) so I thought I'd post my solution here in case it's of use to others in the future.The file that FS9 reports it can't read from is (at least in my case) a scenery file (in Addon Scenery, or wherever you put your 3rd. party stuff): one (or more) active scenery files has been corrupted, or is missing. I wonder if anyone can shed any light on why, whilst 95% of flights load fine when I click on a saved .pln file, a small number cause FS9 to go to a black screen during loading and result in a 'FS9 encountered an error ..." message?If I load FS9 via FS9.exe to the 'Create a Flight' screen and then click on the .pln file of one of the 'problem flights', then the flight loads fine, I get to the airport with no CTD. My last two customers are having trouble getting photoreal scenery to load. Can someone please help them get up and flying? I will let them explain their problems but it seems they are both running with Windows 7. Jay is able to load 2 states but not the rest. Max is getting a windows error message. Any help would be appreciated.

I've got the strangest of problems...recently, I updated my computer with new motherboard, processor, and memory. (ASUS Rampage III w/ I7 980X AND 12GB RAM) This CTD is very strange: every time I go to EDDF (doesn't matter whether default or Aerosoft..) I get an "unable to read from file" error..even with a completely default scenery.cfg and fsx.cfg. HDs are OK at least per chkdsk. On about 1 occasion, it has happened in the frontend too, but never in-sim except for Frankfurt... ideas?

Hello, FSX has began to be darker than usual. This actually happened last year but I just got around to asking the question.Why Is this happening?? Here are some screen shots DARKAny words??? I would imagine its a graphics card issue.

I've been having this problem for a long time. I first notice it about a month ago after playing the game for a while after I just purchased it. After a few weeks, I was really engaged in the game and I started playing flight sessions from 30 minutes to 1 hour. That's when I notice that my game suddenly freezes after 30-1 hour of the flight. Hi,I am having a problem with my host laptop in which randomly the screen will become 'pixelated' and start messing up. When I minimize FSX to try to alleviate the problem, the problem just messes up the desktop. Finally, a few seconds after the problem started, my OS crashes and brings my session down with it, and gives me a BAD_POOL_HEADER stop error.
