Hi all,My copy of Acceleration finally arrived today and I immediately hopped into the Hornet for a test flight. I was playing around with the MFD buttons and clicked MENU followed by ACL (the 4th button from the top on the right hand side of the left MFD) but I immediately got a CTD. The error signature read "AppName:fsx.exe AppVer: 10.0.61637.0 ModName: msvcr80.dll ModVer 8.0.50727.163 Offset: 0000892c".After firing up the sim again I tried the same thing with exactly the same result. I then tried installing Acceleration on my second PC but the same thing happens on it as well - as soon as the "ACL" MFD button is pressed, it crashes to desktop. Does this happen for anyb…

Hello, recently I have been having a very strange problem during certain scenarios. I will go to an outside view that involves watching the aircraft from a fixed spot (i.e. flyby or tower view). This can be during replay or live in session. After a few seconds the screen will suddenly wash out in a solid shade of blue, red, or any color in between. The computer is locked up, I cannot alt ctrl delete out; the only way out is to hit the computer's reset button to reboot out of the crash. suddenly I am getting CTD with d3d9.dll errors during EVERY flight now.This of course just started happening with the sim changing over just like in the real world to fall season. Can someone tell me why this is happening, I know it happened in FS9 all the time. I have FSX with SP2, latest nvidia drivers. I uninstalled nhancer, rebuilt the fsx.cfg file. I get an hour into a long haul flight and bam an error message pops up about fsx closing. Please help! :(Alex

Dear Simmer's,I have just discovered that, when booting my PC in /3GB mode for FS, the other games I have, which have the StarForce protection system, just crash hard my machine, when attempting to run them (black screen + reboot and then, after the reboot, Windows saying it recover a "serious" error). This occur, for example by me, with Lockon 1.12b (StarForce Internet protection) or Silent Hunter III (StarForce media protection).I wonder if some other simmer's of this large community, have experienced the same problem ? Everything worked fine until I installed the FSD Commander/Saratoga aircraft. Now, whenever I select an item from the menu while in full screen mode, FSX freezes. The ESC key unfreezes but I can't open the item (example, World/Map). The menu selections work normally in window mode. I'm using Nvidia 182.5 drivers and nHancer per NickN's setup guide. Yet another wonderful MFS error of some kind for me.Alright, so here goes:I open FSX, the game loads and the main menu comes up. I just leave the default location/weather/time and click "Fly Now". What happens? The sim begins to load. But after reaching "Creating World-wide weather" (and reaching 83% exactly, every single time), I get a fatal error warning followed by a "Program restarting". If I change the weather to Clear Skies, the sim will load but there will be no sky (when panning the view up, the scenery just gets dragged up in a repeat like moving a window when the program behind it is frozen). Hi evreyone,when I install the game FSX gold edition I had problem with it after press install button the installer stop for along time,I dont know what to do next the download file line not move it stop at first screenshot I wait for 15-30min more than two time if someone know how to fix it tell me please.(note:I had this FSX before in my PC but I remove it and then to re-install I have this problem) (Vista Homepre).

1 day I was messing around with add-on aircraft, and then I decided to run FSX. And somehow, when I click the change aircraft tab (both in-flight and when setting up a free flight) the system stops responding and obviously I reboot the sim. Its been happening since then. Then on another day, when I start FSX, it asks me if I authorise the add-ons! I have done that before, and scared of a data loss, I checked the aircraft files. Hi,This is not a CTD but it certainly is something I have never come across before. It must have something to do with my OC, although I can fly FSX all day with no issues.I am trying out Windows 7 and so far it is working just fine and am getting some great performance. I am oc'd from 3.0 3.8 and FSX is performing without issues. I have flown for 3 hours and more, and mixing up the settings, changing views etc. In other words I have been giving it a workout. I just started using FSX under Vista home premium-64 but not for more than 5 minutes a couple of times. When I first start the game it tells me color sheme has been set to Vista basic mode. Finally when I exit it says something like display driver has failed and has recovered. Do you think if I run the game in XP2 mode this might correct the problem or is ther another solution

I have an Acer Aspire 5520G laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium. I have Flight Simulator X Deluxe SP1 installed and today was playing when the game froze and a BSoD (Blue Screen of Death) came up. It was too quick to read, as the laptop immediately rebooted. I went into safe mode and shut down. Bfore the BSoD appeared I Was running Spotify and Chrome at the same time, and I noticed my laptop was slightly hot. Tweaked the aircraft.cfg file of a B-52 I had downloaded to make the engines rockets instead of jets. After seeing the thrust did not work switched to an Airbus A319-100, which is when the OS crashed. Had a Genius mouse and a Sweex G200 Vibration Joystick …

I give up! No matter what I do the stupid thing either freezes, says I am out of memory, looses half of the graphics so the cockpit is see through. I have a nice new system (i7, 6gig, gtx 285, vista premium 64bit, ASUS P6TSE) and ASA installed. The only air plane I run is the PMDG MD-11. Something always goes wrong and I basically cannot play the game. Does anyone know if there are any fixes coming from Microsoft?chris

Flying in FSX is a frustrating experience due to CTD's when I use "shift+1 or shift+5" to access 2d windows. :( I don't know if there is a fix or somthing for it, I would go as far saying that 60% of my flights ends with a CTD.//Johan

I am getting random fsx CTDs for no specific reason. Three times I got a g3d.dll module fault, once util.dll. The last one I had was in the opening menu itself with ntdll.dll fault. what is happening?

Ok i know this has been an issue before but has anyone found a fix for when, say u hit the windows key to go to check the weather or just want to check the web or something and u try to get back to the game and all frezzes with a black screen. After installing my realityXP 530GNS, I am finding numerous ctds, usually at some point in the loading process after clicking fly now. Nearly all refer to realityxp .dll although some list the fault as ntdll.dllI have uninstalled reality xp gauge but am still having the problems. Any ideas? thx, Mark

Hi,I have FSX and Acceleration.Stange problem with sound recuring after reinstalling FSX 3 times.There is a lot of parasites sounds and behind it the normal voice and engine noise.The problem disappear at higher altitude (10'000 ft) ???After 10-20 minutes of flying, it leads to CTD. I suspect there is something wrongwith the sound card even thought I don't have any problem with other applications.Thanks for tips and helpGeezee

I have been having numerous CTD problems with FSX over several months for no apparent reason. When I have searched under Vista's Problem History it tells me that in nearly all cases the problem was caused by the ai_player.dll module. I have done a search on numerous forums and Microsoft with no solution. The CTD does not happen all the time. Hi everyone,I am just about at my wits end here...FSX is behaving strangely. At the end of long flights I am getting graphical glitches in FSX when I either ALT-TAB to the desktop and back to FSX or even when I use the menus in FSX. The whole aircraft panel disappears, or the screen flashes black and white, or the screen turns black. The AI aircraft are sometimes see-through. Then I cannot use the menus in FSX anymore. This typically occurs at high-detail add-on airports with detailed aircraft. I have the OS and FSX on separate physical drives, and have tweaked as per Nick N's guides. The other day I got a 22" LG monitor and now I can no longer use any add-on aircraft. I have a Nvidia 7800GT card with an updated driver, 3G's of RAM, single core CPU. When I load an add-on aircraft and switch from the VC cockpit view to the outside view the whole world stops and need to reload FSX. This is not a problem with any of the default aircraft. The screen is set at 1680x1050 with 60Hz refresh rate. Hope this is posted in the right place and there is someone here who can help me.Thanks for looking,Dave
