Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum

While looking for planes everything is fine. After I choose the plane on the screen while determining flight, weather and time, all I get is a white screen for the plane I have chosen and then during the flight I cannot see a thing. All I get is a white screen, I can hear the ATC and the plane but cannot see the plane or any scenery. Nothing is visible. I am at my wit's end, I cannot run FS9 because of sound problems and my FSX is now after installation of another 1Gb DDR2 PC2 6400, 800MHz memory stick I cannot even play FSX on low settings. Trying to fly with my Airbus A319LR Pairbus Model from KLAX to RJGG and I have gotten the same crash each time! Going to attempt a different flight tonight maybe like KLAX - EGLL or something to figure out if the problem will happen on a different flight! Hello EveryoneEverytime i fly with an aircraft i need to check some thing using the "ALT" key in order to open the menus and check the staff i want.Many times FSX crashes even in the first time i move my mouse over the menu and other times needs more.Also it has crashed while using the menus of the Captain Sims C-130.Any idea on solutions? I am really annoyed so if you can assist me fast if possible.Thanks in advance

Hey all, there was a topic about this file in the PMDG 747 forum that I replied to and nobody answered so I figured I'd try my luck here.About 4 nm out from EGLL the other day FSX crashed on me and TCAS2v7.dll was the culprit. I checked the version of the file and it's the most current one (as per the knowledge base on PMDG's website).Has anyone else seen this and do they have a solution?Thanks in advance,Jeff Calder

Hi guys/gals,I've read through all the posts referencing sim1.dll CTDs but have not found any working solution to my CTD. I can connect to multiplayer server, but always get sim1.dll CTD once I hit "Fly" and FSX attempts to start. Some have speculated possible AI aircraft texture issues. How does one troubleshoot and isolate that without going insane? As online flying is a major component of FSX enjoyment, I'm at a loss at why this problem re-occurs even after completing successful FSX Deluxe and Accel repairs. Free Flight works just fine. When starting FSX it crash every time giving following errormsg: Your computer has run out of available memory ... see screenshot.I changed fsx.cfg and scenery.cfg files from current to default ones but result was same. I have installed the aerosoft Piper Cheyenne from Digital Aviation. Problem is that once I try to load any one of the variations ,fsx crashes to the desktop. I don't have a problem with any other add-on. Does anyone know how to deal with this ? According to Digital aviation the problem is with the vcredist but I have uninstalled and re-installed this and the problem still exists.I work with windows 7(64bits) ,Intel dual core processor 6600@2,4 Ghz and 4GB RAM. videocard is Radeon HD4870Hopefully someone knows how to solve this, thanks in advance

Hi all..I've gotten to the point where I'm giving up on FS.. I already gave up on FS9 due to dll crashes and mainly due to OOM errors.Recently I decided to go and try FSX hoping it would be better...but no.OOM have disappeared but many dll CTDs have returned.. ntdll, bex, UIAutomationCore, ft734.dll, etc etc etc.I've managed to fix the UIautomationcore but all the others make FSX totally unplayable for me.I decided to do a full format and install windows 7 RTM 7600..then I reinstalled FSX, even using this guide:http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=29041Rebooting PC, rebooting FSX after every addon.So i just did a 3h VATSIM flight and after 2h50m FSX f******…

During the flight, FSX is fine, and I am running FSX with the REX 2 weather engine. But when I end a flight (press Esc and click "End Flight") when FSX goes to the main screen, there is a "fatal error" and FSX no longer responds. I am 90% sure this has something to do with the REX weather engine, because this only happens when it is running. Of course it's okay if no one know the answer to this problem, because my flight is over and I was about to exit anyway, but it is very annoying.

Hello all, new to the forum and to fsx. I'm getting random freezes only when I set the fps lock to unlimited. Locks up everytime. However, if I change to 30fps, it never happens. Now I know some are saying to themselves "well don't use unlimited dummy" :( . But I was just curious as to why that might be happening.I think I have messed up by putting fsx in the default folder. I've seen some posts in this forum and/or others about adjusting/setting/revising the affinity mask to increase performance. Can someone provide me with a lesson primer on how to do this. I've opened the task manager & resource monitor on my Win7-Pro Alienware computer and can see the "affinity" which says that my fsx.exe is running or can run on all 8 CPUs, and fsx.exe's priority is set to "normal". What do I need to do to tweak the settings for improved performance. I have been reading the forums and looks like a lot of gamers have the same problem, I dont know a lot about computer workings, but it seems to me that if a lot of people have the same problem, seems it might be an add-on, so I was thinking if I deleted one add-on at a time run the game and see if that particular one is the problem, until you have no more add- ons at least, I would know its not my add- ons , if nothing reinstall. My particular crash starts when I program the CDU , and use lateral navigation I wounder if ACCELERATION might have something to do with it? I tried one idea and I lost all my control settings, had to re-program.

I may have stumbled on a fix for all our problems, I was checking the forum and came upon whom I cant remember his name but deserves all the credit if it works for you it did for me, it may be worth your while to try it simple download, so dont buy any more new memory, hamsters with enlarged rear legs that make the kogs turn fasteruntil you try this . I have CTDs, crashes, out of memory, fatal errors, I have FSX Deluxe, with Accelerator, as i am reading the forum it might be a good idea to download the UIAUTOMATIONCORE, and drop it in the FSX file with FSX.EXE, I am looking in the FSX file and I cant find the FSX.EXE, is it under another name? or do I need to reinstall FSX? or download it and add it to the FSX file? I to have problems with these nasy CTDs, but I think after reading all the problems with the same others are having I think there is a comon problem, we all might have . Seems my FSX was fine until I added PACIFIC NORTHWEST byOrbix, so I think most of the CTDs are caused by scenery, or some other simular add ons, I think if Microsoft or these scenery companys dont look into this matter, because there are just to many of the same problems happening, no one is going to by anymore addons, whats the scence if it doesnt work, theyll just go to X-PLANE, maybe if there was a way to find out if the add-ons were the same in all cases, just delete them i guess. Hi guys, for the last few days I have begun to experience problems in FSX during landing. Especially when I use the Thomas Ruth a340 series. Yesterday while coming into O'Hare, my gauges freezed up in the virtual cockpit. When I tried to switch over to the 2d panel, the screen turned completely black. So I went back to the virtual cockpit still with no working gauges. First let me give you a background on the problem I am having with this plane.I can fly the plane fine in Free Flight. However if I try to change planes my aircraft list is suddenly blank.
