Hey guys, It seems like when ever I am on approach at around 4000 feet FSX just freezes, then will crash. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but it is beginning to become more and more regular. It is quite disheartening to do a 3 hour flight on FSX then to crash as you turn on final. Any ideas guys, as it is really starting to annoy me and haven't completed a full flight in weeks :( Thanks, Ollie

Hi all My fsx has recently started to crash the moment it gets to 39% when loading a free flight. Also when loading fsx i get a "Visual model could no be displayed. Aircreation582SL red" warning message. Sometimes i don't even get past the splash screen before it crashes. This problem has come completely out of the blue, i haven't installed or changed anything in fsx in weeks! I guess flying with FSX makes me more of a troubleshooting expert than a pilot. I recently came back from a 2-week trip and wanted to fly in FSX a bit. Its not working anymore. FSX starts up as usual and then shows the aircraft selection screen with a default cessna BUT the background is black, the nose of the plane is green and the rest of the model is grey and untextured. Today, FSX can't start at all. I get the music (!), but no access to the home page of FSX. Yesterday I was flying a 747 PMDG without any problem and I left normally the program. This morning, after the problem had appeared, I've defragmented my HDD, tried the "fs_registry_repair.exe" file, but without any amelioration. After about 45 minutes into my fsx games the game crashes. it said a fatal error occurred and then the game restarts. This happens every time i play the game. HOW DO I FIX THIS? This is Flight Simulator X for PC.

Anybody who experienced this problem on fsx acceleration with any type of piston engine,being it fixed wing or rotor,might find helpful that there is a solution which is not as bothering as to uninstall completely the game. The problem itself is caused by an unknown acceleration pack's file,so if you do uninstall(not repair) the acceleration pack,and install it again you should get rid of the problem. It did work for me,and I tried everything possible from deleting the fsx.cfg file,to delete the fltsim.flt file itself,but the only thing that worked is this.Give it a try,it just takes few minutes and you won't loose any of your addons during the process. heelo guys, when in flight and i want to change views and right click the sim just freezzes and the blue circle comes on the screen and fsx stops responding and says it has a fatal error and now is restarting. it happens freqnetly please can you help. many thanks.

Hi, So after trying to make my second flight in FSX I was about to land after a 3hr flight and I click on the on the menu bar and all the sudden I get FSX not responding and restart FSX. My FSX keeps crashing to the desktop when I use FSPx with PMDG NGX planes. I've read the sticky as well as every article I could find on the internet regarding this issue and still cannot fix it. I've got a fairly new machine which I used to sim race constantly on but i've pulled back on that habit and decided i'd give good ol FSX a whirl on here but every time, without fail, i'm about 10 seconds maybe 30 seconds into a flight my entire machine freezes. I can't ctrl-tab can ctrl-alt-del can't do anything but hold the power button and shut down the machine. This is mega-frustrating as i'm not exactly running an ancient machine here. I've tried turning up and down the sliders, not running the game full screen, making sure the computer is nice and cool...nothing is overclocked or non standard I guess. Hello everyone, again, FSX has been really stable until lately. I keep getting crashes once again while trying to access menus or end flight, but unlike before when it would just end and resume to the desktop, now when you try and access the menu the screen will just go black and you have to kill the program in the task manager. Some of them report as a MSVBVM60.DLL error, some unknown, some nothing at all. I have done a bit of research and it show up as been an FSInn/FSCoPilot error, but that has been installed for a while (still unable to get past the processing aircraft stage though if anyone knows how to fix that). Hello there, I require help on finding what's caused FSX to crash after 2 hours and 12 minutes of flight. I am now steaming with anger in desperation to find a solution to this problem, because typically a piece of s**t called FSX made by the entirely awful Microsoft, managed unsurprisingly to crash yet again (sorry for either sarcasm or hate out of frustration). Hey fallows, i have been flying in vatsim for 3 years now, only and only with the NGX i cant fly any other plane, i feel like its by far less real. anywho, after 2 hours or so, i get a message from windows that fsx stopped working, and its restarting or something. my question is, there is by any chance that the computer is overheated? the resolution isn't good on the computer/game? i have tried some other games and all have the same problem. thanks!

I know there is a way to pull up a string of events from my crashes.. how do I pull those up so I can share with you guys? It's always different CTDs such as exiting free flight to main menu with a CTD. Randomly flying the NGX I hit a button on the NGX FMC and it freezes and lingers there without a CTD. If I box out my fsx after a full flight to send in my flight report its a guranteed CTD. Im using add ons such as GTX GSX UTX REX essential FS INN Luvcars. The usuals. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I have problems with all fsx demos that I downloaded, just flught 737-200, captain sim 757, fsdreamteam new york and las vegas. With Just Flight: when I open it for the first and go to fly now...crash error. I solved it flying first with a default aircraft and then the 737 just flight, but in fps...1-5 fps, imposible to fly.
