Really like this add-on, because I can use UK ATC procedures, but I have a few questions:- I generally fly GA VFR. does the VoxATC system only work when you file a flight plan VFR- Did a short flight between two airports, landed, taxiied -- all fine. Saved the flight. But when I load it again and start VoxATC its asking me to contact the Approach for the airport, despite me being parked up engines off on the ground? It thinks I'm still in the air, wanting to get into the class D. Perhaps I went to the wrong parking place on the previous flight, but how do I 'reset' VoxATC to do a new flight.- What's the best source of the extra voicesMany thanks for any help.

hey all,First i would like to say i do not yet own VoxAtc but have seen all the good reviews so was going to try it out, i tryed the FSX demo a while ago and i have uninstalled it sinse then. Every time i try to install this it says Cannot Find Flight Simulator. i hear this is sothing to do with the FSX demo but i just want to hurry up and try it out !,Can Anyone Help Me Please ?Steven

I really like using VOX ATC, it's one opf those products with depth and complexity which takes time to get down into, but is really rewarding!Question: I'm using VOXATC in a 747 cockpit, with FS2CRew and an admittedly compley setup over several PC's, but I cannot get ATC to append the "heavy" callsign to a 747. In real life, there are many aircraft that use this designation, so I am obviously missing something in the setup.When I manually change the ATC callsign in VOXATC setup, I am prohibited from appending letters, prompted that "...callsigns are letters followed by numbers..." any ideas, please?Kind regards,Trev Meacham

I understand that to generate AI traffic for use with VoxATC that the FS traffic sliders need to be set to 0. That's fine. But when I want to fly without using VoxATC, despite setting the traffic sliders to any value greater than 0, I see no airline or GA traffic.Has the installation of VoxATC killed all normal FS traffic?Thanks,Vox

Hi,I have installed the last version 5.34 (trial) of VoxATC X and I am not able to initialize Vox ATC in case my own saved flight. If I load VoxATC tutorial flights or only local VFR, all work well, but if I try to initialize VoxATC X with my own saved flight I recieve FATAL ERROR announcement during initialization. I am not able to perform flight plan training too. But default ATC works correctly on these flights. What is the problem ? I use default FSX flight planning tool.FSX, SP1ThanksRegardsJiri

First of all I want to say that I am very happy with VOXATC because it makes flying a sim a lot more realistic and beside of that the technical support of Tegwyn is excellent.However, I am also more and more active as a VATSIM pilot so I found a few obstacles working with VOXATC in IFR mode instead of VATSIM and the default FSX ATC and was wondering which one is correct due to IFR Clearances.In my opinion you have to get your IFR clearance at the Parking/Gate before pushback with the departure route and transponder code. Hi, all,As many of you may know, Wilco/feelThere has released a patch enabling the PIC 737 for FS2004 run in FSX. However, when I went to activate VOXATC under "Views," "Instrument Panel," "VOX ATC" was missing from the list. Well, I puzzled over this for awhile, and then I realized, "aha, I forgot to run the indexer!" Relieved, I exited FSX and ran the indexer. Alas, after I restarted FSX and loaded my flight situation,"VOX ATC" was still missing from the menu!Has anyone else run into this? Anyone have any ideas? Hi,for some reason the multiplayer session which allows me to see vox traffic has stopped appearing on loop-back IP. I can see a session with the same name when searching with blank IP feild, but there are no aircraft here. The only name in the chat-list box besides mine is some "VoxatcHostP" and obviously no traffic.This has happened before, but i can't remember what, if anything i did to resolve it. everyhing was fine this morning and I've checked port settings and firewalls etc. Before the last working run, I had cleared temp files and old reg issues (I've since restored the old registry). Version 5.34 is now available for FSX. It supports four voices, male and female pilot and male and female controller. Of course you will have to provide the extra voices.

Hi,I have experienced futher problem with VoxATC UK. When I need to cross any runway I ask ground controller, he gives me instruction to contact tower. The first problem, this is not in manual...nothing about contacting tower. OK. I do this and ask tower about it. I hear..."cross runway XY report vacated runway"...In prompt window appears using only my callsing {but should be "cross runway XY 1+callsign"}. I reply only with callsign and begin crossing runway, but I still hear crossing clearance from tower controller, still..."cross runway XY". What is it? I currently have the newest version for FSX and am experiencing overwhelming incoming traffic even at a low traffic setting (25%). At this setting I am getting a reasonable number of departures but the arrivals come in waves about 10 minutes apart. One plane will land and then be followed by a half dozen go arounds. I installed a new afcad which moves the landing aircraft to 34L and can at least depart on 34R now. Other airports I have checked such as KPDX have a more reasonable balance of arrivals. I have the FSX traffic sliders at zero and even disabled my TrafficX bgls to see if that was the cause. I only experience this issue when using the VOXATC traffic mode. Any id…

I've been using VOXATC for FS2004 for some time. With improvements with the FX SP1 release I decided to give the new VOXATC X a go. I'm very pleased with the new features and just placed my order.I do have one question however regarding how the AI aircraft are selected. I fly out of KBJC (Jeffco) airport and it seems that just about the only aircraft selected is Beech Kingair and Lear 45's. Hello,I am having some difficulty setting up VOXATC.In particular, When I transmit I can not hear myself in my headphone.After releasing the transmit button the volume turns back on in the phones.This is actually the opposite I want to happen. I would like the mic to be dead ( in phones) then go live when I transmit.I have tried the default sound card on my MOBO and have also tried installing a Audigy 2 ( and disabling the sound card). No matter what I have done, my mic always go dead when transmitting. ITs like the system is trying to prevent feedback....but the headphones will not allow feedback.Please, any workarounds or advice would be helpful.Polmer

Hi All,I have Vox ATC 2004 UK edition (v3.27) and the VoX ATC X demo installed on one HDD, along with the respective installs of FS 2004 and FSX demo.I un-installed the FSX demo and then tried to un-install VoX ATC but I keep getting a 'Object Reference not set to an instance of an object' when trying to un-install. I've tried to remove this via the Add/Remove programs list in Control Panel, and via executing the VASetup.msi but with still varying types of the same result.What can I do? I fear this is interfering with my tweaked FS2004 set up, because I now cannot use flightplans: nearly everytime I start VoX ATC it tells me that there is no flightplan loaded despite me c…

I am using VOX for FSX.I noticed yesterday.... I kept getting a message that I am not authorized fly VFR at night. And then I filed an IFR flight plan. The same thing. I then changed it to day... and I was able to fly IFR.What is that? and how do I get around it? Any ideas?Manny

Hello,I just purchased this software yesterday and keep having the same issues;When I first make contact with ATC ( VFR tutorial),I cant hear myself as soon as I press the transmit button (space bar), yet ATC responds like they CAN hear me.But after 3-4 sets of communications, ATC then responds with "Last aircraft say again". When I transmit a second time I now all of a sudden CAN hear myself in the headphones and ATC responds accordingly. Today I make 2 short flights with my new ordered copy of VoxATC X and it seems to me that the ATC is not working correct in mountain terrain.I make a first short IFR flight plan trip from Klagenfurt (Austria) to Rijeka (Croatia) and ATC let me decent to 3200 ft so I crashed into the mountains along the mainland coastline when on downwind for the non ILS approach.The second was IFR from Munich (Germany) to Salzburg (Austria) and also ATC let me decent to 3400 ft while the terrain is so much higher so I crashed again in the mountains of Salzburg.I

Hi all,The other day I noticed that when at egll and practicing atc comms, when i'm tuned to ground and want to request taxi, voxatc sometimes prompts me to say, "Cessna 1151D at gate 121 with information bravo ready taxi with clearance," and sometimes, "Cessna 1151D at gate 121 with information bravo request taxi vfr manchester." In both instances i go through the same procedure; full atis breif, tune clearance and get departure intructions for vfr and then tune ground for startup e.t.c but it appears to randomly prompt me to say either one of the above. So my problem is that when communicating without the help of the prompt, how do I know which one to say?By the way, in…

hi,i am wondering about how the ATC voices sound? i am still hoping for a good ATC add-on product to replace default ATC.radar contact i find very disappointing when it comes to the quality of the ATC voices (too artificial to me). even the default sounds better.does VOXATC use the default voice files? or a completely new set? how does it sound compared to default FS ATC or radar contact?thanks!

HiI have the full version of VoxATC X, but have recently run into a problem.Sometimes, and only sometimes, when I am told by VoxATC to change frequency it does not register this even though the radio shows the correct frequency. Thus, the VoxATC window keeps displaying a message like 'tune to somebody on some frequency' (I do not remember the exact wording). That sort of ends my ATC services for that flight -- I can still hear the AI planes communicate with the controller though.I have not looked thoroughly into this, reinstalled VoxATC and the like.
