Has anyone else noticed joystick assignment issues with 5.55?After installing 5.55, I went to the Joystick assignment section to again (why do we have to do this with a program update) assign button presses for PTT, Prompter, and Indent.When I press a joystick button to assign PTT, all three blocks show "Pressed" instead of just the PTT block. Same with Ident. Only the Prompter assignment works correctly.If I Enable VoxAtc, the buttons do nothing.I have checked the button activations in FSUIPC and Vista Game Controller and all buttons are working correctly.Any ideas?

Hi again,I've got another question. When on a vfr flight to a non-towered airport I request freq change before I get within 20 miles of the destination and receive approval. I change freq to the unicom and I can request airport info and receive it. However, the control panel only tells me to switch back to center freq and I never get any instructions for contacting the destination airport. I don't need to request landing clearence at a non towered airport do I? After I change freq what terminolgy do I use to announce my landing intentions?Thank, Mark

Hi, I was just curious to know where I can find any free or at least reasonable priced addon voices for use with vox atc. I have searched the internet several times and the only thing I could find was AT&T real voices but that is way out of my price range. All help is appreicated because right now all I have are the default MS voices, Mike, Mary, and Sam.

Hi, I'm running Vox ATC with FSX SP2 and it seems to work fairly well most of the time, however, I noticed that I don't have any mention of it in the "addons" dropdown menu inside FSX. I got curious about it so I went to my main FSX folder and there is'nt any sign of it in the modules folder there either. Does anyone have any ideas?;-) Thanks N45MOW

Here is the problem I am experiencing.After landing I always get the request to 'turn off at any intersection' before being able to request any taxi instructions.However if I comply with the request to 'turn off at any intersection' the resulting taxi instructions will then request that I go to a parking bay which is located elsewhere and certainly not in the area I have just turned towards.This has happened when landing in Edinburgh (EGPH) and Newcastle (EGNT) and to get to the parking bay suggeseted would involve quite a difficult set of movements.I use FS Commander which shows me where the parking space is and where I am located so this is not a lack of definition of w…

Hey guys wondering if you can help me in making a decision, Im looking at a more realistic atc for fsx and 747-400 pmdg as the fsx atc is diabolical when it comes to route planning and using it with the fmc, Ive had a few suggestions to try radar contact as this works well but the only problem being is i dont think it a voice interacting program like vox, what im curious to know is vox a seperate atc program and can you create flightplans that can be used realistically with the fmc or would vox have me vectored off all over the map like fsx atc, could you you please help me out on this thought b4 i decide to make a purchase thanks Brett

How to set up VOX ATC and/or use VOX ATC to land in Insbruk? Is it possible at all without being directed into mountain walls? I tried to set up a few STARs but always ended up with VOX ATC vectoring me into the mountains around LOWI. I'm sure with some additional coding and a few more fields in the SID & STAR setup it would be possible to play it directly. Is there a way around within VOX ATC boundaries for that now? No matter what I do, I cannot get VoxATC X to use my headset. It used to work. Not sure what I did, but even if I tell FSX to use the Logitech headset, all of the simulator sounds come though, but the VoxATC still pipes though the speakers.I have made sure that all of the stuff in the control panel is set properly. Audio is the Sound Blaster, voice and recording is the headset. I've even changed the settings in FSX to "Default" Devices and no matter what I do....Vox still comes though the speakers. Have I missed something? I've reinstalled Vox a couple of times and still no difference.Dondo

Hello guys, I'm on WinXP SP2 FSX SP2, unfortunately SID/STARs don't work in v5.46. Even the stock sample flight with SID/STAR KMCI-MSP don't work in the game. The VOXATCX's SID/STAR setup is ok, but in the game there's no SID/STARs by ATC. I wish I saved the previous version prior to v5.46.

After receiving flt pln clearance, I request taxi instructions and VoxATC never responds. The flt. pln. is default KMCI-KMOS IFR. Communication is maintained with AI flights, but I just sit there without taxi instructions.Help appreciated.Jim D.P.S. Worked before on a VFR flight.Jim D.

I'm still using the FS9 trial version but now it won't initialize even though I've loaded the allowed flight plan. The 30 day limit has not passed. Also, the key assignment to bring up the dialog window no longer works. These have been checked. The message keeps telling me that no flight plan has been loaded even though it was.Any ideas? I was on the verge of buying, but now, not so sure.Thanks for any help.Jim D.

I noticed on this forum that with FSX one can have the ATC come through the headphones while the sim sounds come through the speakers by using two sound cards. Is this possible using FS9? If so, how would one set it up? Thanks,Jim D.

Hello,I have just downloaded the fs9 demo version and about to test it however I would like to receive confirmation from established users about a past issue which could be a showstopper for me.Back a year ago there were several posts (topics 1042, 1130)about Unicom saying 'unable' and then getting stuck when announcing landing intentions at noncontrolled airfields. This has been reported by several users however there was no solution as far as can see.Can someone please verify whether this issue has been solved? Can anyone PLEASE tell me if I can use vaxatc, with fs 2004 using Vista? I keep getting an error messange and have tried reinstalling both fs2004 and voxatc. I'm using original disks for both. Can anyone please advise me? thank you, in advance

I use VoxATC for FS9 and e-dimensional 3D glasses. Unfortunately, when displayed, the VoxATC dialogue prompt window forces FS9 to go out of steroscopic mode.I downloaded the demo of VoxATC X for the brief time I had FSX installed, and saw that the prompt window in FSX is overlaid in a way that doesn't disrupt stereoscopic viewing.I realize this is just most likely a limitation of FS9, but is there any way to change the way the VoxATC dialogue prompts are displayed in FS9 to more of a VoxATC X-type display window?Thanks for your time,Charlie

Made a search but could not get to any thread regarding this topic. Can one use the simulation acceleration on a long haul flight (for example between the last step climb to the TOD) and how would VoxATC behave in such a circumstance so as to finish the flight with Vox ATC in sync (bearing in mind that no voice interaction can happen as long as the acceleration is on)?Thank you for your help.

Sorry to be a pain, but can anyone tell me if I can use VOXATC, in FS 2004, running Vista? I KNOW that FS 2004 runs fine under Vista, but as soon as I attempt to open VOXATC, I get a message indicating that the program has closed. I also get a prompt for "speech recognition". I have already configured the microphone. I'm really at my wits end. This new computer runs FSX fine, but I am still having trouble with the VOXATC X program, so I figured I would reload FS 2004 (which I did), update it to 9.1, install VOXATC for fs 2004, and I'd be happy as a kid at Christmas. Hi All, I had an IFR flight from KROA to KIAD yesterday and all went well until the approach phase. After receiving what should have been a vector to intercept the glideslope I was unable to communicate with approach control because he was busy communicating with other aircraft and I couldn't get a word in edgewise because of all the communications and ended up overshooting the intercept. When I was finally able to communicate with approach I was given another vector but by the time I received it I was to high and close to make it work. Any way to break in when there is so much communication to other aircraft happening or perhaps I just should have declared a missed ap…

Is it true that VoxATC only manages the Traffic sequence and not the correct use of runways and taxiways? And therefore any issues of this nature should be directed to the Traffic module developer?ThanksMichael

Hi,I just got a new computer. I have VOXATC for both FS 2004 and FSX and have the disc for the AT$T voices. My question is HOW to actually install the VOXATC program. The only actual disc I have says "VoxATC fo FS 2004". It further states on the disc that it contains VOXATC Deluxe AT&T Voices. Is this the disc I should use to load the program for FSX? It seems to me, but I cannot recall, that I downloaded something for FSX - but I'm not sure.Can anyone help me load this program? Thank You in advance. With the release of a new version, I decided to give VOXATC a try, but have come up with a few problems that I consider show stoppers, but before I write it off, I thought I'd post them here, to see if I'm doing something wrong or need to change a setting or something to get it to work right.1. VOXATC generated AI does not respect assigned airlne gate areas defined in the Airport definition file (AFCAD). Leaving a hodge pod of aircraft throughout the airport.2. VOXATC assigns wrong runways for takeoff, again, not respecting the AFCAD definitions. Hi!I have just been starting to use VOX ATC... and i really like it so far, depending on a few problems though, It doesnt seems to be interacting with my AI traffic, i think i hear some of the traffic, not sure though, but i hear a lot of "crap"(im flying over sweden, and hear loads of DELTA and CANADIAN and so on... that cannot be right, is it possible for it to just interact with my AI and thats it?...And my other question,right now im flying with the Callsign "SK 1" but is it possible to use REAL callsigns?and so how do i do that?Thanks for your help as usual:)/Niklas

Hello,I would like to use a button on my joystick for the PTT. When I go to the setup for the joystick button, the only joystick displayed is my GOFLIGHT GF-TQ6 Throttle. My real joystick is a MS Sidewinder.Is there some way to get to my joystick?Thanks in advance,Ron Sagel

I am getting both QNH and Mercury altimeter calls from ATC in Europe with version 5.46. E.g. EKSB gets QNH and GCLP gets Mercury. Could anyone confirm that they have this incident too?
