Whenever i fly VOXATC it always tries to make me collide with another plane when i am on finals (usually just establishing on the ILS). There is always another plane within very close proximity to me, my TCAS is going mad telling me to climb, FScommander is also warning me of imminent danger, but there is no warning from VOXATC controllers. Is there nothing built in to the program that can take in to account other air traffic??If not dev's would it be possible to add something please. I wouldnt mind being given the odd go-around or whatever

Hi All, Took an IFR flight from KDCA - KROA (Roanoke,VA.) and approach assigned me to RWY 06 which is an LDA approach. At any rate I was told to descend and maintain 3100 which is lower than the surrounding terrain. Roanoke, VA sits in a bowl surrounded by the Blue Ridge mts. Any suggestions or help? Thanks in advance. Craig

My thanks to the developer for the release of 5.61. The Copilot feature is highly welcomed in my busy bizjet cockpit. Now if he could just tell jokes to help pass the time. :( I had an extra AT&T voice which I assigned to the copilot for more variety. Also the new taxi centerline lights are a welcome improvement, no more purple cones to dodge. Now I just need to look for an Aussie TSS voice to go with all my FTX AU scenery and airports.

I posted this earlier but got no responses. Can someone suggest some help for this? I have a rather older computer but it has a 2.6 mHz Pentium Processor and 2 g of RAM. FSX performs splendidly on it. But the vox atc is SO slow, that in order to get my next command, I have to hit escape, then Return to flight. At first I thought the computer was too old and slow but that wouldn't be it as the Sim runs fine. I am DYING to use this. Don't know what's wrong. There should be immediate response. Thanks for your replies. Dizz

I wonder when this product will be compatible with widefs, I don't own it. But if they ever make it compatible across a network with widefs I would definitely get it.Ian

I have recently purchased Air Hauler and cannot seem to get VoxATC working with it. After Air Hauler starts the sim and loads the situation including flight plan, I start Vox. It gets through the first couple of voice tests and then displays the "Fatal Error - Disable VoxATC" error.I tried reloading a new flight plan, but it doesn't make any difference. Is there any initialization log that I could look at to try and see where it is failing? Any other ideas? Thanks

I'm a bit confused. Can anyone please tell me if the following combination will work (or not)?Vista x64 (ultimate)FS2004VoxATCPMDG MD-11 (or any other PMDG plane).I thought I read somewhere that if I wanted to use VoxATC with Vista x64, it'll only work with FSX...but I'd rather keep my FS2004 a bit longer :( Thanks!

Hi allI found a topic concerning Vista 64bit and ATT natural voices and that they only work on 32 bit - but I am assured by the chaps at NextUp that they do work on Vista 64.I've spent a week or so trying things suggested by Ken at NextUp to get the voices working but had no luck at all, not even in standard TTS.As a result I have made a dual-boot system with both 32 and 64bit Vista and plan to install FSX and VoxATC on the 32bit part, but it's a real shame to waste the extra RAM usage that 64bit offers and as 1GB of that is on my graphics card it will lower the amount available for FSX, what with VoxATC, TrackIR, SST etc running in the background.Has anyone managed to ge…

PLease help. I've posted this before but got no real response. My VOX atc is taking so long between each command that I have to hit escape, and then hit "Return to Flight" to get it to go on to the next command. I have an older computer, 2.56 gHz Pentium with 2g ram. I thought it might be the computer buit the sim works fine. I am dying to use this program so your help will be GREASTLY APPRECIATED !!!Diz

Just checked the VoxATC website and found a new version has been released. The following was copied from the News section.>Version 5.61 of VoxATC X is now available. This update includes:>A first officer that can handle comms on IFR flights while you handle the aircraft, more realistic CRM. You can switch comms duties at any point in the flight>TGS (Taxi Guidance System) at larger airports, you can now 'follow the greens' to and from the runway. At the limit of the taxi clearance (usually the runway hold), a line of red lights is displayed until you receive an onward clearance>A recent comms panel that can display the last 10 ATC communications>Various phra…

Howdy all! I have been trying the VoxATC-X demo on FSX for almost a week now. I really enjoy the controller chat, but everytime I am requested to switch my transponder and "ident", FSX crashes. I have changed the keys that control ident with no change in behavior. I have also had the ident function tied to a button on my throttle controller for Saitek Pro Flight throttle quadrant. I have even been able to hit ident when I am sitting on the taxiway and within seconds, the simulation will crash.I am running FSX on a Vista 32-bit machine with a quad Intel processor and 4 Gig of RAM. I don't have any other add-ons currently running or installed. I did try It's Your Pla…

Hi everyone,Does someone know if it's possible to get Canadian ATC give out radio frequencies with "decimal" instead of "point"?

On a recent flight from Sedona, AZ to Flagstaff, AZ (very short hop), I was told to contact center, who then immediately told me to contact Flagstaff tower. Tower then proceeded to vector me for a GPS runway 3 approach. This is highly unrealistic! I can tell you as a real-world pilot, that the tower will never vector or clear an aircraft for an approach. Is this happening to anyone else? Paul

I am the poster of the thread directly below this. Upon further investigation, it appears that the program is just running very slowly. While my computer is from 2003, it runs FSX fine with decent frame rates. So I can't believe that it's not "powerful" enough to run VoxATC. As I said in the below post, the FSX frame rates remain unchanged. Let's say that when "Tune to ATIS" comes on, and I do, it takes 3 minutes for ATIS to start. I have SP1 and 2 installed. I do not have acceleration. Is that necessary for this program? When I press 0 to get the list, it takes two minutes for it to change. I can see that this is potentially the greatest add-on ever. So I am understandab…

I just purchased Vox Atc 5.5 Deluxe version. I've installed it, run the ENTIRE voice recognition readings. I tried the training and it gets me to the point of starting the taxi and then there is no further communication. You cannot use the frequencies on the help sheet. The ones given you are different. I wonder if my system is too old to run this? I wouldn't think so as it runs FSX as nicely as coud be. But I start out listening to ATIS. It will go on for an hour if I don't press exit flight and then come back in. It works very slowly. I have a Pentium 2.56 processor and 1 gig of memory. I just can't see a voice program slowing down the computer. But I may be wrong. The …

I am currently getting a periodic crash with VOXATC which results in a .net 2.0 runtime error with Event ID 1000. FSX continues ok afterwards and I can restart VOXATC and continue the flight but I would really like to solve the problem.Other details of crash below:-'Faulting application voxatcserver.exe, version 1.0.3196.22384, stamp 48e36c60, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.5512, stamp 4802a12c, debug? 0, fault address 0x00012aeb.'System specs are FSX SP2, VOXATC 5.55, XP SP3, .net framework 2.0 + SP1, .net framework 3.0 + SP1, .net framework 3.5.I did notice an old hotfix regarding .net 2.0 but I have assumed that the SP1 patch for .net 2.0 will already h…

I really like this program and I don't think I could go back to any of the alternatives at this point. But I have do have some issues with it -- hopefully the developer reads this board and could address these in the next update. There could be greater flexibility or options in how call signs are dealt with. I don't see why airline call signs need to be one word. "Aircanada" comes out OK with some voices, but is quite bizzare with others. TWA is pronounced phonetically as if it was a word by this software and sounds so bizarre I can't use it. Perhaps it could be changed to recognize caps as letters? My other problem is that the vecotoring for jets is too tight. I understa…
