Since going to 5.61 I have some serious problems running this software. I can't get the indexer to complete. It hangs every time, but not always on the same file. The programme still runs, but I have not seen an a.i. aircraft since the upgrade. I use project a.i. aircraft. I can hear some of them on the radio, but there are none at the airports. I have seen other posts about both these problems, but no solutions. I guess I can try 5.63 -- I see that it is intended to address isues with the indexer.On a more positive note, vectoring was greatly improved in 5.61.

I run FSX with PMDG 747 for FSX. On all other planes VoxAtc X runs well, but on the PMDG 747 X I can't get it right. When I choose the Voxatc X option as per normal, all I get is that big black box with nothing in it, no "enable" button, nothing. What's wrong? As I said, all other planes work well with Voxatc X, including LevelD 767 for FSX.

Good day.I am trying to achieve the following scenario:1) I would like to hear all the sounds, voice and engines coming from my speakers, not through the headset.2) I would like to be able to mute these sounds at the same time I key the Microphone to make my responses?3) Alternatively, instead of muting the sound, is there maybe a way to make the ambient sounds (engines etc) lower when I key the mic so that those sounds do not interfere with my transmission?Any assistance would be appreciated.Thank youNorm

I would appreciate some guidance from a fellow FSX, REX2, and VOXATC-X user.I can't seem to figure out how to make a flight plan that can be used with all three programs. What procedure or sequence do you follow to make a flight plan?Thank you.

I have ended my trial of VoxATC wihout being able to complete any flights. The problem is that VoxATC seems to stop directing me while enroute (it keeps sending traffic announcements though). Regardless of what I say I'm met with silence. At some time I have been given an instruction but my read back is never recognized and the text in the VoxATC gauge says something along the lines of "Readback instruction" but there's no "read back" text visible. This happens some time after I have departed the airport and are on my way. So far I have never been issued approach instructions and I have therefore abandoned all VoxATC-controlled flights without landing.I wrote about my exp…

Typing this letter here as the contact link at the VOX website comes up with a server error type message after I clicked 'submit'. Bloody maddening I tell you.So it was about 2 questions:1/ Concerning the 'arrival menu' it is written in the documentation: 'When being vectored to an approach or after being cleared for a non-vectored approach the ArrivalOptions Menu is available. From this you can select to request any of the approaches available atthe destination airport.'Does this mean that I can select an NDB approach at an airport that also has ILS approaches available? Hello all,I have had a problem installing Vox on a Vista 64 bit system.Everything seems to install ok but nothing shows up in FSX. I did a search here and found this,www.voxatc.net/FSX/VoxATCInstall64.zip but it looks like the link is dead.Any one have any ideas? For some time now I have been really impressed with the capability of VOXATC :( , because after using it for a while it began recognizing everything I said without error. I just thought the voice training was done well. However, I recently discovered (by happenstance) that VOXATC is now recognizing anything I say as correct :( ...I can simply key my mic and fart and it will respond, "read back correct". I've uninstalled and reinstalled VOXATC a few times with no change :( . Any help or suggestions (except uninstall/reinstall FSX) would be appreciated.

A new update is available. One improvement is a priority reduction for the CPU, however I'm questioning this.Could someone who has not upgraded yet do a frame per second test from 5.61 to 5.63? Use the same aircraft, location, etc. and check the fps reading from 5.61 to 5.63.I believe I am getting less fps instead of more. Without VOXATC-X running, I am locked and holding at 60. With VOXATC-X running, fps drops to 20.I tried to re-install 5.61 but each time I start the program it says 5.63.Thanks!

I have updated my vox atc for FSX to the newest version but for some reason, there is no traffic showing up!!! :( It worked on the previous version. What I did in the previous version was: startup the flight. shutdown the aircraft. Load the weather into the simulator from Real Envrionment Xtreme, then I started Vox atc 5.55 and it worked and the air traffic was there. In the newest version i try to do the same thing but it just doesnt work. Is it becasue of the Real Envrieonment Xtreme? What am I doing wrong. I load the IFR tutorial fight without loading the weather into the simulator and it worked. But i tried the same thing with a regular flight and it worked too. IT…

Greetings everyone,I have voxatc for FS9 and I also have four cepstral voices installed on my computer. The manual instructs me to use the default microsoft mike voice, but is there a way to make it use the cepstral voices?Thanks, Terry

I've reinstalled VOXATC X many times and running the VOXATC Indexer many times and the Indexer gets along fine until it gets stuck at:J:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\\Weather\themes (J Drive is my second hard-drive). I've even reinstalled FSX once, but no luck. Any ideas?Thanks.

For some reason VoxATC is calling all barometric pressures as standard, during Atis, handoffs etc. Thought it was ASA but now even microsoft weather is wrong (the green atis scroll at the top is correct thoughLarry

I live in Los Angeles, and love to fly out of KLAX. I've used voxatc for 4 years now and recently upgraded to voxatc x. Anyhow, my first ILS flight from KLAX to KSAN. At LAX, unless the weather here is crazy, all planes take off 24L/24R/25L/25R and land the same. Ok, so to get that I have to change the wind direction in VoxATC X. Thats fine.Thing is, when I do that, well, naturally, at KSAN it has me landing on rw 27, as opposed to rw 09.Problem is, I can never, never get the glideslope on 27. I can always get it on 09 no problem. VOR Loc works either way, but not the GS. Both 27 and 09 show the ILS/DME as 110.9I flew once at night, and the runway lights for KSAN seemed t…

I recently purchased VOX ATC with AT&T Voices on CD. It installed perfectly and is registered. Now I want to upgrade to the latest version 5.61. I cannot find any description on how the upgrade is to be done in the User Manual for Version 5.61.I have also searched this forum and do not see any discussion on this, although some topics do mention that you must uninstall the old version. If I uninstall the currently installed version and then install the new downloaded version do I lose all of my configuration settings and have to re-enter them again? Guys, did anyone try to fly full ILS approach to EHAM runways or any other airports, particularly those that require procedural turn, like for example EHAM ILS RW6 or RW18R? If you set up STAR in VOXATC it will give you freedom from transition to IAF only and after that VOXATC will take over and vector you to the indicated ILS RWY but in a very different way from the one you'd find in ILS approach charts. Did anyone try to set up STAR in VOX ATC from the transition TO THE FAF instead and from there land ILS under VOX control? Would it work this way or FAF is too close to the final landing path for VOX ATC, so it would turn you around according to its own 'mental' picture?…

I have a strange problem with VoxATC. I bought a serial to change my test version into a working one. Now VoxATC suddenly refuses to work. During the initializing hase of the VoxATC window, I hear the five voices ay "Test" one time, after that I get a "fatal error" and I am told to disable VoxACT. This didn't happen with the trial version.What went wrong?Bernhard

I'd appreciate your thoughts on any of these questions.- Using "International" for ATC. Example, International Ground, International Center, etc. Can I get a regional designation such as "Salt Lake City Ground" or "Los Angeles Center"? I suspect not but thought I would ask.- Indexer. I downloaded the VOXATC demo last night and I have to say .... WOW! I am impressed.Here is what would make my life so much nicer when flying VOXATC. Does anyone have the Saitek Yoke. I want to assign the PTT switch to the button behind the left "arm" of the yoke. I fly with my left hand and this button is the back of the part of the yoke that my hand grips....any suggestions?Thanks
