I'm using VoxATC with no problems. I installed World of AI and it appeared to disable the default FSX AI, which is OK with me. However, when I started VoxATC, I saw "Orbit" & "Soar" aircraft in addition to the addd-on AI that I installed. Just happened to visit the voxatc site and discovered an updated version has been released with the usual lack of fanfare. Version 5.46adds Vista 64 support, Visible taxi routes, Improved AI handling at airports, the MyTrafficX ver 5.1b fix and other features. Glad to find a distraction from the cat fights going on at the FSX forum. My thanks to the developers for their continuing efforts to improve and expand this ATC simulation.

I currently have a problem where FSCopilot causes a CTD when loading a flight plan from the FSX Free Flight screen. So, I normally 'Fly Now' and then load my flightplan once the sim is running.VoXATC doesn't seem to support the loading of a flightplan once the sim is running (v5.46) as it tells me that I have no flightplan loaded. Does it not support this? Does the flightplan always have to be run from Free Flight?Thanks,Vox

...VoxATC X is just plain awesome. It has single handedly changed how I interact with my simulator and the realism while simming. Why are not more people aware of this program? It is excellent! Once you have the voices installed, everything trained and get used to the little variances in the language, it ramps up FSX to about as "Real as it Gets". I am a low time private pilot (only have about 70 hours) and the ATC interaction flying to/from and through class B/C/D airspace in FSX is 95% accurate to real world flying. Hello guys.First and foremost, let me tell you that... before the issues I'm about to post, I used to really enjoy VOXATC. I think is a great product and that is why, I would like to see a solution for my issues.About 2 or 3 months ago, I reformated my HD. After installation of all my software, including FSX SP1 and Acceleration, I noticed VOXATC a little weird...I flew both the IFR and VFR trainers, The VFR first. I have been using the current version of VOXATC for FSX for quite a while now and suddenly I cannot get past ATIS. When VOXATC enables I switch to the ATIS frequency as prompted. After listening to ATIS the promper displays "tune to XYZ clearance XXX.XX", which I do. The proper frequency is displayed on the aircraft radio display. The ATIS transmission continues and the prompter window doesn't update. I have reindexed several times and deinstalled VOXATC and reinstalled with the same results. I have made no major changes to either FSX or my computer. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

HiyaI use the older version of Voxatc for FS9, and I have the full versions of addon voices.. I have the Danielle voice working perfectly for the male voice but still can only get microsoft mary for the female..I downloaded the UK version and I am able to choose the voices that I want to use.. Is there a way to do this on the standard version?Kind Regards

I resently purchased the DVD version of the program and am very happy with it so far, however I am seeing some differences from the demo version I did a few months ago.1.) When flying the IFR plan with SIDs and STARS there is no mention of either the SID or the STAR. When I flew the demo the program would tell me to fly " STAR name here". Is this the correct behaviour? When flying that plan it did not follow the STAR procedures. BTW the procedures are setup correctly and are in the userproc folder.2.) Is it possible to specify which aircraft VoxATC chooses to use for it's AI traffic? The reason I ask is that whenever it generates GA traffic it seems to always create about 6 twin-engined Beechcraft's which seems a little unrealistic to me. A mixture of single engined and twin-engined would be nicer.Thanks in advance,Vox

I have general sound set to speakers and voice to USB headset, and that works fine with default FSX ATC. But with VoxATC I can't get voice through the headset. I've even had sound through the headset and voice through the speakers. Even with Voice Setup voice comes through speakers. I'm using XP Pro. Has anyone else had this problem?

The VoxATC registration page stresses: "VoxATC must be registered using the computer you intend to run VoxATC on. ... The registration code you will be sent will only work on the computer you are currently using."I can understand why - but what happens if I buy a new computer? What happens if it is made compatible with WideFS...?

before take off when atc instructs me to proceed direct to XXXX does this mean i am on my own if i choose to follow the correct departure routes for a given airport? voxatc doesnt give me vectors like fsx atc

Hi,I used VoxatcX for FSX for a while now without major problems, but since I installed ActiveSky for FSX I have this problem with the assigned PTT button on my joystick. Everytime I want to transmit I have to push this button twice before it is actually transmitted. So for some reason the release of the button isn't detected. Only when I push it again (and I hear the 2nd click), the message is send. Sometimes, when I push for the second time, Voxatc is repeating my last message, before it is answered. Hi,Attempting to instal Vox ATC UK for FSXI have SP1 installed btw.I run the installer from the DVD it gets as far as starting the VoxATC Indexer which runs through numerous scenery files butwhen it gets to g:fsxscenery0202sceneryOX16190.bglit stops and doesn't go any further. Cancelling the indexer results in a message saying that Vox ATC has not installed.temporarily moving OBX16190.bgl just makes it stall on the next file in the folder cvx1721.bglI have sent a support email from the website but if anyone knows the answer I would appreciate some help,Thanks,

Running VoxAtc and st. fs sounds on two different soundcards, so that I can get ATC on my headset, but was wondering if there exists any software that can run the TTS voices through a filter to add background noice to replicate the poor sound quality in real life?

Hi all I have Windows Vista on a new PC with FSX and have Vox ATC uk for FSX installed and operating OK. I have recently installed FS2004 on the same Vista PC, but after installing the original Vox ATC Deluxe for FS2004, I find it will not operate correctly. It has installed ok but will not get past the 'Initialze' stage. Is there a Vista update for Vox ATC Deluxe please ? ( I am assuming it is a Vista / Vox ATC Deluxe problem at this point ) Thanks Peter Bailey

I get very frustrated because I have no master list of ALL the commands that Voxatc understands. The documentation is not as complete as it could be. I would sure like one so I don't have to keep asking how to request different features. Does one exist? If so, where is it? Also, why do some of you know some of the commands and we don't. Is there some additional documentaton? This is a program, so all the commands have to be programmed and should be documented somewhere.Thanks for your help.

Okay, so last night I was flying around in FSX (and, as a side note, had a pretty nice experience, TrackIR, VoxATC, new Saitek flight yoke)..anyway, I was just doing some touch & go's and Vox was working fine (although, not quite how it works in real life, but close enough), my question is, how do I get Vox to let me land full stop? I didn't see any options full stop options while flying the pattern.Dondo

I can't seem to figure this out. I only have the female voice for Pilot and Controller.In the Voice Setup drop down box, used to assign the voices, all I see is Microsoft Anna - English. There is no entry for Mike. I'm using FSX , Vista64 and VoxATC-X v5.34.Also, how do I get the voice to say U S Air? I hear what sounds like "useair". I have tried different letter configurations in the ATC Aircraft Type Name Editor, such as USAir, U S Air, and US Air but none allow for correct pronunciation.Thanks,Richard

Hi All,Just finished re-installing VoxATC-X on a new Vista64 system. Have a Q.What is the best way to remove the default FSX AI traffic? Even with the FSX AI slider to 0 and unchecked, I still see default AI. I just want to use World of AI. I thought about moving the 737, CRJ, etc to a Hangar folder so VoxATC could not load those default AI, but then those a/c are not available for flying.I seem to recall deleting or moving a .bgl file way back when I first installed VoxATC. Hi all,I am starting the Example VFR flight, using FSX.The tutorial doc says to tune to ATIS on 128.35, but nothing happens.The VoxATC window says to tune to ATIS on 126.625. When I do this, I hear BOTH the VoxATC tower voice AND the FSX ATC voice reading the ATIS info simultaneously. It's pretty hard to understand.When I first tried the trial version, I don't recall having this problem. Now I have the two voices (VoxATC and FSX ATIS) stepping on each other. Have I configured something incorrectly? Thanks,Ken
