  1. I read a number of posts around this issue, none help. This is a situation where I already have been in contact with VOXATC atc controllers and lose them when I pause the simulator (specifically P3D v2.3). SITUATION: - I depart from ANY airport, ANY aircraft using an IFR flight plan. - VOXATC works great all the way until I pause the flight -- usually just before TOD when I'm at cruise altitude. - At the time it paused I was in contact with "Center" controlling the airspace I was in. So all was fine before I paused. - When I unpause the flight VOXATC tries to reconnect and seems to fail with the message "No ATC Unit Found". Why will VOXATC not recog…

Hello everyone! I am a Voxatc happy customer and use it with MyTraffic X. Until a few days ago I was stuck with version 6.20, because I couldn't figure out why version 6.34 was not working for me. Yesterday, I finally decided to upgrade to version 6.46. I made a couple of flights and it seems to work fine except for one thing. Yesterday I flew out of KLAS and, while almost all parking spots were full of planes, none of them was taxiing to runway, nor taking off. There was one plane landing and no other movements. When I landed in KDEN, ai traffic appeared to behave normally, with planes taking off and landing. However, when loading a new flight from KDEN today, aga…

All, I've been evaluating Vox over the last few days and I'm a bit confused over the various versions there seem to be. On the Vox website there is only one version, which apparently uses correct ATC phraseology for the UK (and the demo seems to be using the correct departure phrases and transition altitude), but I can see DVDs for sale of V6 that reference a UK expansion, something which is completely absent on the Vox site. So I guess my question is, given the download version seems to be using UK phrases, what is the current difference between the versions and what is there (other than retail distribution costs) that justifies the doubling of the price? T…

  4. Love this addon but there are some things I'd like to ask: 1. How exactly do you request a temporary frequency change for listening to the destination ATIS? For example, when I'm tuned to Vienna Center, and I want to listen to Innsbruck ATIS, what would be the exact phraseology? 2. Where can I get additional voices that are actually working for free? While googling I found some TTS voices but after installing they don't appear in the voice selection menu and not even in MS text-to-speech properties.

Hi, I dont know if this is an error on my end or not but when on a VFR flight plan VoxATC detects controlled airspace and suggest I contact the facility for a clearance to pass through the relevant airspace. So far so good but in real life there are absolutely no controlled airspace surrounding these small Airports that I pass on my route. In addition I am at an altitude that is really in a big TMA (Stockholm) which is class B airspace as far as I know and of this VoxATC makes absolute no notice. My question is, where does VoxATC get its airspace information? I know I can make some updates to frequencies and names by editing an Airport in AFX editor but in terms o…

Wondering if anyone else has any issues with the number of "active" AI using UT2. I have my traffic slider at or around 60% and see almost every gate filled with a plane. However, I hardly see any other AI plane starting up or taxing out to the active. I know that VOX is not using the UT2 schedule ( or is it? ) but does any know what activates the other AI to startup? Curious!?! Thanks, Tony

Plz help me with this problem. I bought a version of voxatc 6.46 and got the serial from vox company. When I run a free flight vfr and start up vox with out any flightplan the program starts but a message comes up directly "fatal error! disable Voxatc" BUT (!) when I run a flightplan that I have then it works fine?! I don't get it. It does not matter were in the airport I place the aircraft in free flight. It crashes all the time. But as I said, it works if I use I flightplan!? I tried the 6.20 version and that worked just fine. I run in win 8.1 and with some IVONA voices. I hope for an answer... regards,

Greetings, Has anyone been able to remap 0-9 on a USB numeric keypad to the keyboard 0-9 for use with VoxATC under Windows 7 and FSX? I attempted to remap using registry remapping and verified that the remapping was successful in Windows 7 using AutoHotKey. However, VoxATC still recognizes the USB numeric keypad as "Num 0" instead of the keyboard "0". Thanks in advance for your suggestions. I am trying to replace the keyboard from my setup with the smaller USB numeric keypad. Cheers, Ron

Hi everyone Just purchased the latest Voxatc and installed it with FSX and find it very good indeed. However, can anyone help me with this one. Once VoxAtc is enabled and I am going through the initial start checks, a mysterious jet engine close to me starts spooling up, even though no aircraft are near my present position. It appears to be on a loop and starts up every few minutes - very annoying. On one occasion, whilst taking off, this annoying engine started again!!!! When clear of the airports, it stops happening. To find out if this was coming from Voxatc, I waited for the annoying engine to start and then immediately disabled voxatc and it stopped, so it is …

When you run AI traffic through FSX, the frame rates drop because not only does it add graphic textures, it also has to process the movement. As VoxATC controls the traffic, does this help on the frame rates with it being an outside program. Also does VoxATC send the traffic via SIDS and STARS or does it vector them straight in.

  17. As long as I'm here - anyone have the issue with ATC repeating the 'hold at runway' segment of the taxi instructions when a runway crossing is required? I have this thing humming along great - hardly misses a word that I say ever! However - it seems to not recognize the first repeat of my taxi instructions back to the controller - and it's only the hold portion. The second time it always goes through. This has been an issue with past versions too. My first thought is a bug in the displayed text and what it is expecting to hear from me - so when I read the displayed text - it automatically fails on the last part where the match fails. I'm also guessing that it aut…

I am testing this at the moment. When I am flying an IFR flight and approach my destination airport, do I have to hit the zero key and ask for an approach runway or does Voxatc automatically asign you one. The reason I am asking is that everytime I get near my destination, the ATC starts vectoring me in the opposite direction away from the airfield. It then sends me in circles. Thanks.

  20. I am obviously doing something wrong and need some help. All flights use SIDS/STARS and PMDG 737NGX. Departure works fine but arrivals are a problem. Here is what happened on my last flight: KBUF/KEWR ...SID was KBUF4 with BUF transition for a cruise altitude of FL250. At FL200 Voxatc gives me FLOSI3 arrival at GEE transition and tells me to descend to FL160. SIDS and STARS are in the correct directory. This has happened on quite a few flights and I don't know what I am doing wrong. If anyone can steer me in the right direction, it would be most appreciated. Cheers

Greetings I have purchased every ATC program out there except Vox. Vox is kind enough to allow a trial period. I am trialing the product and climbing the learning curve. I am pleased with the AI improvement. Checking traffic in Aivlasoft EFB, it seems there is also traffic in the air. I am getting stuck on something. After departure, ATC advises that radar service is terminated and advises me to change transponder code to 1200. That doesn't seem correct. Now I must admit that I have seen other posts pointing to this. I am not trying to be a parrot. Just wondering if anyone has found a way around this and/or it is being addressed by the developer. This is an IF…

  25. Hi, I have been using VoxATC from the onset. Never had a problem during installation due to an Antivirus or firewall, until today. Downloaded version 6.46. Deleted version 6.34. Un-zipped the new download and as soon as it unpacked, Norton classified the .msi as a high security risk and deleted it (quarantined). I re-classified the file as safe and re-instated it. The installation went as planned and all seem to be ok until I tried to run "Flight Plan Trainer". Yet again Norton stopped the application from running as it deemed it high risk. Upon further inspection I found the following -allegedly, high risk files: "linezer0.part01.rar" and "lzpdffr01.zip…
