I can't wait to hear what you guys are going to come out with next. I have logged many many hours in BOTH the DC3 and B-25 and was wondering what was next. Even if you were not planning on doing another plane I still would be very satisfied with these two. Well you can't blame a guy for asking, can you? ;-) Thanks a million,Hawk

While working on a repaint, I noticed again that the horseshoe antenna was missing and part of the antenna directly behind it.I first suspected that it had something to do with my textures but strangely enough, I am also seeing this on the default R4D, Cargo model, and United Airlines PAX model, of whose texture I have never touched. On the OY-BPB and XC-47C however, they show up just fine; of course I realize these are using different model files. So now I am wondering if it's a setting in the flightsim.Any help to correct this would be greatly appreciated.===================================================================The latest projects, waiting approval from Ian befo…

Hi Bill, a question for you - is there any progress with our favourite R4D? I'm still keen and looking forward to seeing it in the air again. Please keep us updated with MAAM's plans and progress in this regard? Thanks, Ian

G'Day all! Thanks for the kind words you guys. You'll have me thinking I'm special or something you keep that up.Currently wrapping up loose ends before settling down to repaint the DC-3 for a nice gentleman in Africa.Looking at the engines on some sample photos brings up a question. I have a 90% completed repaint of a Delta Airlines livery that is waiting on the new engines from Jan Visser and left and right textures, rather than the mirrored ones utilized now. Looks like I'm going to run into the same thing on this requested repaint. My question, and no rush guys, I know you're all quite busy, is how things are coming along on the P&W engine mod and texture mapping?Wo…

hello, I just received the CD through SIMWARE in Belgium and tried to install it, but it was a failure. At first I tried with the autorun feature: the Vmax installer starts, but when I press the "install FS9 version" nothing happens. Then I tried starting directly the R4DC3FS9.exe files in the main directory of the CD, and the message comes "you cannot access these files".So the CD is ok, but apparently all the .exe files (including manual and PTM) are locked.Any suggestions?Capoalex

Hi everyone,Did some very thorough testing and identified one of the problems sometimes afflicting the MAAM sim aircraft on engine start-up.When going through the start-up procedure (in the 2D panel) in either Briefing Time or R4D-6 with the FRAME COUNT set to UNLIMITED, I was unable to fire-up the engines, they simply would not bite. When going through an identical procedure in exactly the same circumstances, both aircraft in the 2D, but with the FRAME COUNT LOCKED (in my case 25), I had absolutely no problems starting all engines.I don't profess to know why this is the case, perhaps it's resource related, I've no idea. And it may not be a solution for everyone. But it wo…

Help!!!Today I received the CD for the MAAM Douglas R4D. It has installed fine and looks great. Shame that it will not fly.The problem appears to be control input. All control surfaces are fluttering wildly. If I then change aircraft the problem persists. Closing FS9 and restarting solves the problem until the Douglas R4D is selected. My PC spec is as follows:AMD Athlon 3200+1ghz DDR RAMATI Radeon 9800 ProSaitek X45 Joystick, (I have tried changing drivers)ThanksStuart Maxwell

Is there any way to permanently alter the forward view in the VC panel. I would like to lower the horizon, I feel like I am flying tilted forward with so much ground visable. I have been using the enter + shift key. On take off I would think I should not be able to see the runway without moving my seat up a lot in VC mode. Is it just me?

Hi All, I'm now lucky enough to have both aircraft. Everyone concerned with their production are to be congratulated:-)A couple of things I'm still struggling with - even after reading the manuals on the various discs. With the R4D amphibian - mine shows no wake effect when put down on the water. I'm wondering if I've misplaced the FX files somehow on loading - I followed the install instructions with the auto-install thingy. Can anyone explain please?Secondly - I've been flying the B25 a lot but am unable to turn off the beacon morse identifiers after I've verified tuning is to the correct beacon. This only applies to Nav 1 & Nav 2. The ADF switch cancels the identifi…

Greetings,I recently purchased the MAAM CD for the DC-3 and installed it into MS Flight 2004. Two things happened: the FSF2004 program siezes up after a few minutes of running a MAAM plane (the PC locks up and requires re-booting), and when I switch over to fly the default MS2004 DC-3, the gauges and cockpit now look horrid.I clicked 'yes" when asked to install the MAAM gauges, and I adjusted the realism to "HARD." There seems to be no FAQ's I can find, and there seems to be no way to uninstall the MAAM add-on to clear things up.The MAAM planes are getting great reviews, so I'm wondering why this has happened and how I can either fix it or uninstall the MAAM files witho…

I'm in noway a talented painter, but since no one else seems to bite, and I would like that livery as well..I tried to take a shot at it. Here is what I got sofar.I haven't been able to find many good photos, so I'm guessing alot.I think the grey coating on the bottom of the hull is to dark and the blue might be to light. I'm not sure whether the nacelles and the cowling flaps should be painted or bare/weathered metal. I'm also not sure whether there should be an antiglare patch and what size. Also are the stabilizers grey or white, I can't tell for sure on the photos I have found sofar.I'm aware the white roof should start to curve down a few feet further forward and the…

Hello,Thanks for this add-on package but it does not work on multi monitor. As soon as I click on CP all windows I put on the 2nd screen disapear, I've to reactive them when I return to AC.By the way, why you did not do the correction for all windows? It will be nice to put CP on one screen and AC on an other one.Such possibility is really helpfull when you have a multi head video card. I would really appreciate a correction.Happy new yearMichelGeneva Switzerland

Hi,I found an incompatibilty between the lanclass-file krdg_lc.bgl that comes with the MAAM DC3 package and American Data: If I have Major Roads in AD and above landclass activated FS has a CTD at about 50% loading of any scenery. If I disable or Major Roads in AD or the landclass file no CTD occurs.Any idea how to fix this without having to disable one of the two sceneries?ThanksPeterIntel Mobo D875PBZ with Intel CPU P4 3.20GHz2.0 Gig 333MHz DDR SDRAMAsus / NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 (Omega 1.6177) (Q) (256 MB)Monitor Samsung SyncMaster 19"CH Yoke and PedalsWindows XP SP2PeterIntel Mobo D875PBZ with Intel CPU P4 3.20GHz2.0 Gig 333MHz DDR SDRAMAsus / NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 (…

Jan, Mark et al,I just downloaded the new BPB C-47A and read of the improvements you made to the base model... good job! Were the R4D, DC-3 passenger, and DC-3 cargo mdl files updated, and are the changes all contained within the mdl files? (Or... is this a completely new model, and it's the only one affected?)I have made additional passenger and cargo aircraft (each in their own folders) using Mark Beaumont's unsanctioned (but very nice) IFR panels. I assume that all I have to do to update those aircraft is to copy the mdl file from the base versions... correct? Thanks for the great work!Ken

Great job, she's sweet! However, now you have gave me another dilema, since she's a C47A, and my Arkia baby is a C47D...The engines on her are more like the original R4D-6 original model, but the seat/door configuration is like the C47...So I will have to decide which deffenrece is more noticable...http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...50&mesg_id=2850http://www.vatil.org/vatil/board/viewtopic.php?t=4234
