First time using so bare with me please. I have seen it somewhere I think but have a short memory these days. where can I find how to set up a flight that will take me over the MAAMAmerican cemetery Normandy? By the way this is best C-47 product I have ever seen and still finding new things to look at.

I was trying to reinstall FS2002/2004 version of the R4D/DC-3 and I noticed I could only get to 18% of the install and the program would quit. I examined the disk and noticed a huge scratch about 3/4 in from the center. Repeated attempts to load were no good. Is there a way to get a replacement CD? I still have my original CD for 2002 and wondered if there was an upgrade for that.Jesse

First of all thank you for such a superb product and all the marvellous additions to the DC-3 family and the B25.I was just wondering if there was any possibility of someone producing a dedicated load and fuel manager for these aircraft to save the bother of changing the wieght and fuel in the rather cumbersome FS9 editor. Thanks againSteve

  4. Greetings to all,I think it's Bill Rambow to field this question. Bill, after reading a recent thread about mix-ups with .air files in fs9 I had a close look at mine in fs8 and as far as I can tell the files MaamSim_r4D.air and MaamSim_DC3.air are identical in all but name. Surely this is not right? I'm using the 6th edition of the CD. I realize I may have missed something, so feel free to call me blind or just plain stupid but please put me out of my misery!I very much enjoy your work and that of all the MAAM team past and present - keep it up, you are greatly appreciated.

Any ideas? http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/120955.jpgAlso, any word on the DC-3 Multimedia CD?THANKS!!Hitch

Hi guys,Let me state right up front that I'm "NOT" asking for any release dates or even approximate dates. I'm just wondering how things are progressing. I know you guys have been super busy with the WW 2 Weekend and getting the C-47 expansion released (thanks a million for both) but I thought I'd ask how it's going. If you'd rather not even comment I'll totally understand. After seeing the TBM at the show, I can not wait to take her flying. :)Hawk

They might seem like dumb questions, however I have two of them. the first one is How do you see into the cabin, I read one thread which asked that question, and the answer was to go to VC and look back, well I did that, and I got nothing, so what could be wrong? The second question is about the Cowl flaps. I am using a CH yoke, peddles and TQ, with there software managment program, and on the other DC3 they work fine from both the key board, and from my TQ, but in this program I only have control from the mouse, I have looked at everthing I can think of but No joy! I must say I am really impressed with this program, Great job!!:-)

I have just transfered Briefing Time to my new computer with XP.I have followed the instructions for starting engines but I have the following Problems:-1)after I shut down engines if I want to start them again from the outside view using ctrl+E the engines turn but do not fire up.2)after I shut Engines down When try to start them for the cockpit I get both running ok but my throttle on my Saitek Cyborg Evo will only control one engine. I have tried pressing E+1&2 but no effect.I am using FS2004 by the way. Can anyone help me?I don't remember having this problem on my old PC with Microsofts Milenium.

Hi, MAAM,Sorry this thank you's late but I've only just found the time to post! Busy time of year as well you know! Just gotta' add my plaudits on your D-Day package. Great fun! All those british paras spilling out of the new Daks and hitting the slipstream was a real buzz, even for the Mrs! Thanks very much indeed. You never fail to impress!Oh, and another thing... Your American Cemetery was an education for me. I couldn't even find it! I was on the wrong beach! All those school history lessons, documentaries, maps and literature and I'd taken it all for granted! I couldn't even find the exact place where so many lives were lost in the name of freedom... Very sobering. …

First off, my hats off to the MAAM-SIM team.I am the proof that it's never too late to catch on to a good thing, having just purchased and start operating your amazing DC-3. All of sudden, it's as if I finally found my "reason" for flight simming!Amazing work! There is however, one thing I could not help but notice. In my search for repaints, I have yet to find any of the paints of all those classic Canadian DC-3's. If anyone can point me to one (or many!) please do.If, to my chagrin, no such textures exist, I am willing to help out in any ways possible to make it happen (of course, except the paint job!). I can research, find pictures, go take pictures if I have to! I'll …

Thank you to all the MAAM team for this package and, more generally, all your products. I've been a real fan and MAAM addict for a while now, really keen on the B25 and DC3, thought the Gooney bird remains my favorite. As a grand-son of a June 6th veteran, I just want to thank you for this package and all it brings up in mind to me. I'm looking forward to get your next bird. I wish the FS community had more people like you, creating fantastic add-ons and restoring genuine and awesome war-birds.The only regret I have is to have been unable to come and join you for the MAAM airshow (Europe sounds sometimes so far away! lool) but wish to come and meet you soon. Thanks again..a…

Hi, I have a strange problem when using the VC in the two RAF C47s. The lettering above the blind panel is all out of focus, ie the lettering around the warning lights. Even stranger, this does not happen with the original R4D and earlier upgrades. All other lettering on the panel is sharp.Any ideas?SteveP4 3.0 ghtzATI Radeon 9800pro1gb ramXP

It was a pleasure meeting you two guys last weekend at the show. I wish there had been more time to shot the bull with you, but I saw how hard you were working and didn't want to stay but a minute. :)Being that was the first time I had ever been to the WW2 Weekend, to say I was blown away would be an understatement. I do wish it had not rained all day Friday, as this kept a lot of planes from being there on Saturday and I couldn't stay for Sunday's show. Seeing the R4D and Briefing Time up close was a total joy, having flown both many many hours in the sim. The Avenger looks awesome too and I can't wait to fly her. All in all it was a FANTASTIC weekend. I'm already lookin…

After reading about the air file problem with the C47's, I replaced all 4 air files with the one from SugarBlues. That cured the trim problems I was having, but I am still having some others.I set up a long range India/China flight using SugarBlues. I started with 900 lbs in each of the four tanks.First: I don't think the fuel selectors are working. The fuel selectors were initially set to draw from the main tanks. In spite of this setting, the fuel was drawn from the auxiliary tanks. After 20 minutes I tried switching the selectors to AUX to see if this changed things, but the fuel kept being used from the AUX tanks. No setting seems to use the main tanks.Second: I…

I noticed some external parts that will disappear and then reappear. Mainly windshield wipers and some side mounted antennas. Are thees parts untextured and therefore subject the the FS2004 bug of flashing parts that are not textured?

  21. I have usually found that the MAAM DC-3 and R4D-6 will climb at a reasonable rate with the trim either neutral or very slightly nose-up. The new C-47's need a severe nose-up trim of 8 or more to do even a modest climb. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just my setup?

I have just installed the R4D and DC3 in Flt Sim 2004 and set them up reference the instructions but seem to have great difficulty steering on the ground when taxiing to leave the runway. On some ocassions the steering seemed to work only ocassionally. I have CH products pedals and yoke. If anyone can help I would be pleased to hear from you as the planes are great but this problem is a bit of a nuisance. Thanks in advance for any help given.Stephen Day

  24. First, before I describe a minor problem, I wanted to say thank you for this beautiful C-47 package. The planes look great. Now for the problem -- I can get the paratrooper or cargo drop animation to work for the other three aircraft (by using the "i" key), but not for Sugar Blues. I tried reinstalling the package, but the result is the same. Door animation works, but no cargo drop. Any idea what the problem is? Thanks.
