Hi, I just has a few easy questions: Sometimes the METAR are very old in comparision with IVAO Metar. Is this a mistake or is IVAO "generating METAR itself"? How can I stop the Update during approach? I like to have weather on the ground or after landing, but I hate when the weather is chaning and the clouds switch like I my pants :D I use ASE with FS9 and Windows 7 x64 . I use Autoupdate every 5min. Thanks mates!

Which I consider since it's sold at lower at the moment. Then I would like to know some things. I do have ASE and I have it installed on networked computer. Doing so to avoid unneccesary performence load of my FS computer. If I get AS2012 what would be the best thing to do? Installing it on the networked computer in order to not take resources from FSX? How much difference could it make? Or would I be better of placing it on my main FS computer so it can run smoother. Because I do experience that ASE is a little slow and unresponsive on my old networked computer especially the map. Also I would like to know if I could continue use ASE after starting to use AS2012?

I have configured ASE to update weather every 30 min. But I surely get messages about updated weather station more often than that. This apply both to flying and while being on ground.

Hi all , I have a "little" problem with ASE and Fs9 ... Every one minute ASE changes the clouds around me , in some cases it changes only the scenic/far clouds but mostly this error effects all the clouds . I tried several settings but nothing helped . Do you have any suggestions or fixes for this annoying issue ? Hello, When I fly into or out of Edmonton (CYEG) and go into the WX Report tab of AS2012 it shows me weather for CXEG and not CYEG, it also loads WX for CXEG into FS. My first thought was that CXEG was just a different name for CYEG, but there can be drastic differences in the weather. Is there something im doing wrong? Can it be fixed? I'm using Orbx scenery for CYEG and AS2012 with SP1 BETA (but it happened before i installed the SP1 BETA as well) Cheers,

Hi. In ASE, there is a line we can add to the General Section of FSUIPC.ini called UseASEweather=Yes. Not sure if there is any for AS2012.

I am having issues when starting ASE, when I open the program it goes through its motions but with many failed downloads and server switches. ASE is allowed through my firewall and antivirus, not sure where to go from here. Howdy y'all, I have FEX and AS21012 running with some good results, I got caught in a rain storm over Portland Maine today and decided to land, the rain effect, overcast effect and wet runway effects/reflections are awesome. But I'm not seeing any water drops on my windshield? Is this a limitation of FSX or am I missing a setting or something? I checked in my fsx.cfg and it is set to: WindshieldPrecipitationEffects=1 Is this correct? Because as far as I could tell there was no effect on my windshield at all, I never even had to use my wipers. The rain was really come'n down too: thanks for any help/advice/info

Hi all, When a METAR is reporting an overcast all I get are broken to scattered clouds no overcast at all. My settings in FS9 are set at detailed clouds with cloud coverage at 100%. Ill attach my AS settings. I do have a low end video card a nvidia 9100. I plan on changing that soon. Can anyone help? Thanks Greg My AS settings

I must say I am delighted with the look and feel of ActiveSky 2012. I really like what I have seen with this programme. Tonight I went for a flight on VATSIM using the VATSIM Online weather. Just my luck, after a 30 min preflight and taxi sequence, the thing decides to reload 'Depection Mode' right on the take off roll. As you could imagine, choppy frames. Are there any tips on stopping a load up on take off or landing? I guess I could switch off Automatic donloads, but you wouldn't have the change in QNH or wind. What are the best setings for online flying? Julian

It's been about 3 months since the SP1 beta for AS2012 went live and 6 months since the initial release...is HiFi getting close to a general release for SP1? Thanks Brent

Hello, I am using ASE, and having difficulties when flying to and from ENGM. The old airport of Oslo was ENFB, which was closed in 1999 I believe. That ICAO now belongs to a oil platform in the north sea, however ASE or FSX still place it where the old Oslo Airport was. This seems to cause the weather in the sim to jump between the relativly smooth inland weather of Oslo and the rough north sea weather, often with high wind speed and direction changes. Is there any way to remove ENFB from loading weather?

Getting an error about date/time stamps being ignored at over 3000 data points. My PC clock is not off so not sure if it is server side or what just cropped up mid flight.

The topic of wind-smoothing/S-turns is done to death I know, and devs have been trying to find a fix for it without having the winds ridiculously smoothed throughout the entire flight. So is it somehow possible to smooth winds above an arbitrary flight level (say FL240), but have the winds completely un-smoothed below this altitude? Winds very rarely shift quickly during cruise altitudes >30,000 so as far as I can see this would provide some solution to the problem of S-turns and shifting winds, while still allowing gusts on approach and takeoff. I just installed Active Sky 2012 for the first time, and I was exploring the texture options. When I select "randomize" nothing happens. There is a dialog box that says my textures have been randomized, but none of the textures are different. They are exactly the same as I had them before. Anyone know what's going on?

When completing a flight plan, I am asked to load textures. What happens differently if I do load or not? What are the differences between the flight plan loaded textures versus what is there already, if I do not load from flight plan?

Here´s my problem: - FSX - AS 2012 -> direct weather control - download interval set to 5 mins For several days it worked perfectly, the program ran perfectly as well under AS Evolution, but now the system performance decreases every time (5 mins.) the AS weather engines loads the weather into FSX. Hi guys, now bear with me for I am not a smart man but I have an idea. Is there any way to change the broken clouds in ase to overcast clouds? What i mean is, would it be possible to copy the overcast textures or files and paste them into the broken clouds folder so whenever ase downloads real weather it thinks it's putting in broken clouds but your seeing overcast clouds? -Travis

Hello guys Just wondered... could u possibly implement on a future update the rwy in use when we create/import a flightplan? I thought it may be kinda usefull when we check our plan on the map and hover over the dep/arr airport when we see the airport info it could show us the rwy in use at that time. When I started up AS2012 today, it said my License was invalid or not activated yet, all I had to do was click OK and it reactivated it, but wondering why it did this, and if I did something wrong. PS. it IS a legal copy of AS2012.
