The graphics influence is yet another great functionality in AS2012. Is it technically feasible to add a geographical parameter in the list in a future update?

Although I use ASE2012 for sometime now without any issues, it is about a week that everytime I start the program it requests an activation. Is there any solution to this?

Hello guys! I`ve already contacted the HIFI support vie Email, because my ASE key has become invalid, and I`m not able to use it anymore! Now I`m not receiving any replies! Hi Everyone:I love trying to use XPAX - when it works for me. I have 2 issues - first, it is hit or miss as to when it initializes or not. For example, if I load FSX, then load XPAX, sometimes I can skip to another state (like Taxi or Takeoff). Other times, it just will not do anything when I hit the "skip to state button". Even if I reload the program, it still does not always work. Sometimes rebooting FSX works to get it to initialize. Other times it works fine. I choose to start FSX first because it often will lock up FSX at some point in my flight if I load XPAX first. But lately, it seems whenever I use XPAX, at some point FSX seems to "stop responding" and I…

I have searched all over and cannot figure out how to fix this issue. The clouds are constantly disappearing in the game, I would say about 75% of the time I have no clouds, or if I switch views, they will appear/disappear. Is there a setting that stops this?

When I do the new route and import the plan it get stuck on calculating closet wx stations. hing else work fine. Any ideas what this could be?

I have upgraded from ASE to AS2012 and have read here that it also works with FS even though designed for FSX. How is it supposed to do that? In ASE I had to select which sim to use but see no such options in AS2012. Will I have to select that during installation, i.e use AS2012 either with FSX or FS9?

I have recently been having problems with Active Sky 6.5 Build 554. First of all it started when I went to download weather for a particular date and time and it said invalid weather folder or something along those lines. Then it comes up with an error in the ini file. Closing it down brings up the following Error Initializing - Check Your Ini File And then when it is open across the top where the date and time of your latest weather update is it says main thread process error - retrying at next interval and then it won't work at all. hi, i am considering AS2012 to improve the default weather in FSX. my FSX drive has no space left so i would have to install AS2012 on a different drive. is that possible or do i have to install it on the FSX drive? thanks!

Hey guys, I'm using FSX with ASE. First of all I'd like to mention great product..... could never fly without it on FS9. Most recently I'm using ASE with FSX (I'm using the same installation I did with FS9 including the latest Upgrades, etc...). I'm using DWC as these weather updates stutters and pauses were driving me crazy on ground (even though I disabled everything that had to do with updates). Then I changed to DWC, which eliminated the stutters, but I the other day I had a surface wind speed of 72 kts in EDDF, even though ASE was reporting 5 kts or so. Today I came into LOWW. ASE reported 210/6, LOWW ATIS in FSX reported 190/7 and the actual winds in FSX were 22…

I had to format and reinstall XP this weekend. I am an original registered ASA user but remember ASE was a free upgrade to ASA users. Anyone know how to get an installer and replacement license key? I contacted 'official' support but no reply as of yet. I'm hoping HiFi hasn't gone belly up??? Last time I needed support response was so quick I couldn't believe it. Active Sky 2012 Went to Graphics Have selected a theme and trird to install it Get a message from FSImaging : "Error during DXT output function" and in French "Impossible to find "c:\Users\JLB\AppData\Roaming\Hifi\AS2012\temp_out.bmp". If I click the OK button, it installs theme.

This is from Amsterdam Eham. In Denmark vi have light nights like this And a sunset like this similar somewhat to eham But the problem is that the FSX sunset get blackness into it. And there I disagree.. The colours don't go from yellow to black.. that never happens.. I goes into all sorts of blue to the darkest divine blue. All the best Jens Michlas CPH Denmark

Hello , I am AS2012 user and it is downloading related DATA via my USB network adaptor (my first Wireless network adaptor that connected to my WIFI modem). Today I decided to enable my second Wireless network to config it between my PC and laptop for using EFB(Aivlasoft). Both connections are OK and my EFB providing data feeds via my second adaptor. Also my first adaptor (Wireless network connection)still is working for my internet connection. But AS2012 in this situation lost his internet connection! till I disconnect my second adaptor(Wireless network connection 2). Thanks for your upcoming advices. Regards Ryan

I am new to ASE (not 2012) and I am having a hard time with getting the settings right. I use Radar Contact and have read alot of posts about using ASE with RC4 but dont see any definitive info. The other issue I am seeing is that what ASE is seeing for surface winds and speed almost never match what FSX is seeing when I hit shift z. Can someone please give me some setting advice in ASE? I use RC4 and UT2 if that makes any difference in what settings I should use. Thanks in advance for your help as this is driving me nuts!!!. Jim

I have installed AS2012 with no problem but the xgauge-wizard will not install the xgauge. I have FSX closed, UAC off, run FSX and the wizard as Admin but continue to get the error that I do not have enough rights. I appriciate any help Thanks, Peter

Hi @ all! I have ASE and my question is, make it a sense to update to AS2012 if I don't plan to use the replacement textures?

I primarily use historical data for my flights. After setting the date for Online dynamic data (fantastic feature btw) I import my flightplan and then the Wx influenced theme is installed. Many times the date shown in the METAR in the Flightplan is not accurate, so I often do one or more Refresh to correct this. My question is now, should I install the Wx influenced theme before or after I do this Refresh? I use the lastest AS 2012 beta build 4469.

Ok, after much debate, I just purchased ASE. Loaded up local weather and it seemed OK. However, I loaded up a few other locations, and seemed to get weather without much variation - I tried a few different spots and got relatively low cumulus with a higher overcast, and blue sky showing beneath all. This was a few different locations around the country. Thinking I may have just chosen similar conditions, I went to my maps to find a few spots with thunderstorms. Hello :) I've a little problem and I know if it's due to AS2012 - B 4448 When I fly in turbulences, there is many flickering; like flashes in the cockpit. During all the time there are these turbulences. As soon as the turbulences stop, the flickering stop.... Anybody know this ? And is there a solution ? I set DWC, Dynamic Rate of change to 0. Hi, I've been using ASE and REX with FS9 and for the most part I've been quite happy but I have one minor problem. On occasion I will come across an area where the sky is filled with these unrealistic looking 2D clouds from horizon to horizon. Is there anyway to fix this? Here is a screenshot to show you what I mean. Hi there, I cannot find any information on how to connect xPax using WideFS, it does not work when I open the WideFS and use connect. I have defined the FSX directory via the network. Has anyone managed to get this to work? Many thanks for any input. Joe

I made a simple flight plan totalling 84 Km with two intermediate waypoints of about 25 miles. I have included the "Calculate TOC/TOD Waypoints”. The resulting log showed a -5 Km and -5 min ETE between my departure airport and TOC and -2Km and-1min ETE between the TOD and arrival airport. The cruise altitude was 5500 feet ASL and both airports were around 3000 ASL. Any ideas? Thanks for a great weather engine and a simple & efficient software.
