Hi everybody Since any posts in the sticky above seemed to have been missed since March, is there any progress at all on this SP? The last official info was HiFi were working on some final changes (such as the 20 degree wind discrepancies and the slight barometric pressure differences). Wouldn't mind this one being put to bed at last, feels like ASE has been forgotten a bit here. Cheers, SLuggy

I have a couple of questions: AS6.5 FS9, W7 64Bit 1.Is it normal to select the flight plan and AS loads the WX when I start the FS and bring up the Radar and the Flight Plan is not in the Radar but have to go to the plaining button and select MSFS button and reload the plan from Radar screen? Should it have been transfered from Start up? Just to make sure I do use the select New Route/Import FP and WX is loaded, but not transfered to Radar have to reselect FP. 2.I get the GEPro error failed when AS starts the FS I guess it's cause I'm using REX now, is that normal? Thanks Scooter!

I'm running AS2012 SP1 DWC, all sliders on default since installation. Currently I'm at 34,000 and the TAT is +15F. This seems way too high at FL340. Any ideas?

Gentlemen, I love the graphics of ActiveSky 2012, but I'd like to disable the weather engine by itself so it doesn't conflict with my OpusFSX weather engine... How to do so? All I seem to be able to find is the ability to switch modes, not to disable it entirely! Regards

I knew how automatic sequential playback of METARS worked in ASV6.5 but now that I have ASE (and think it's great) how does ASP work and how do I enable it in ASE in order to use historical weather (METAR) data in offline mode and have the weather change automatically as long term flights progress.

As I'm typing I'm flying out of YBRM @ 18,000ft and my TAT is +18.I've just noticed as I've been getting really slow climbs around FL280 (the temp is still in the positives) due to high TAT.Can this be looked at for the first SP?Can't edit my post, still climbing the TAT has gone up from +18 to 21 @ FL200. Now it's dropped right down to +10 @ FL220 is hovering at +11.I cross check my waypoints at this time and the temp should be -30's. Only weather I'm using is ASE2012, FSINN weather is off by default and FSX weather is user defined due to ASE.Obvious issues. Can't edit my post, still climbing the TAT has gone up from +18 to 21 @ FL200. Now it's dropped right down to +1…

For 48 hours I have been waiting to get a license reset as I am getting the "too many activations" warning. I filled out a support ticket on Saturday and no response. I realize it was the weekend but it is now well into Monday. If you're going to have an activation scheme that requires human intervention you should have humans intervening. Very frustrating as I would like to fly with weather from the weather program I PURCHASED.

Hello Hi-Fi I jsut have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying this Weather Add-on. AT 1st I was sceptical because of the cost but it was worth it. No more shimmering haze bumping against hills/mountains, nor more weird haze following my aircraft, and Finally a realistic horizan! I should have purchased this months ago. THANKS! Matthew

On a few occasions lately I have found that after having loaded Active Sky 2012 then FSX, although I can hear transmissions from ATC they cannot hear me. I am flying on line with VATSIM using the PMDG 737NGX. I have checked out my mic and connections and they are in order. As a test, I did not load Active Sky at all, then loaded FSX and on these occasions my transmissions were ok. A bit puzzled by this behaviour. I wondered if any other member had come across this problem? Thank you Donald.

hello all finally could run fsx with a somewhat semi-decent computer a few weeks ago and so i almost immediatly bought as2012. the main reason i bought it is because i hate all the 'cloud popping' you get with fsx by default, and i read good reviews about AS2012. Don't get me wrong, I certainly don't regret buying it as it has so many nice features, but to be honest sometimes i get a bit frustrated with it hehe. (yeah so much i finally could find the strenght to create a thread on this forum haha  ) for example i did a little test flight tonight : TFFR -> TFFF departure weather : all clear destination weather : cloudy, wx report shows multiple lay…

for a few months now, my Activesky 6.5 has been out of sync with the updates. its usually 2 hours or more behind the current metars. cant figure out whats causing. some days its closer, others like today it seems to be almost 4 hours behind as you can seen in the screenshot, current time 1937Z, active WX is 1553Z. ive tried to manually tell it to download the current metars. it connects to the server and downloads, and it sais it has, but continues to use 1553Z. figured maybe a file was corrupt or something, uninstalled, deleted the AS6 folder manually to remove any left over files, reinstalled, installed the updates. still stuck at 1553z current build…

So i drag and dropped some weather. I wanted to remove it and use the real weather in its place. I clicked on automatic downloads, and hit refresh. The only way I seem to be able to reset the weather in that area to "real" is to exit both FSX and Active sky. I reset all settings to default as well and refreshed, still I have the drag and drop weather where I'm at. It's not really a big deal, but i like to do touch and go's while changing the weather conditions. Sometimes I just want to set it back to normal and fly somewhere.

After RTFM I can tell you that the suppression DOES NOT WORK! I am in "Standard" depiction mode, my "dynamic rate of change" (which is POORLY explained in the manual) is set to 0% (as recommended by HiFi), Downloads are set to "Automatic" at a 30-minute interval. I have both suppression options checked (local range suppression & suppress on ground), my ceiling suppression is 10,000ft. My local range suppression distance is 100nm. Sooo... when I'm taxiing (in or out) what about "suppress on ground" am I not understanding? I've ready plenty about "the suppression doesn't suppress downloads, only writes to FSX". However, the status of "Depiction Output Active"…

"Would you like like to install weather-influenced graphics based on your new route average weather conditions?" When I opt for "Install AS2012 Graphics", then OK .... nothing happens. It should display the progress dialogue, but in my case, it doesn't. Nothing happens. Suggestions?

I have some strange flickering shadows while Active Sky 2012 is running. It is like some sort of fog layer disappears for a short time and then comes back. It is visible at the clouds and at the aircraft shadows. Any ideas how to solve this? Video: http://img829.images...tvdivuloyhm.mp4 (Disregard the compression errors at the beginning. It is clearly visible in the middle of the video)

Hi guys, I've read the user-manual and searched the net, but I'm still confused and frustrated with getting Active Sky Evolution SP3 working in a way that I can predict and understand. I'll describe my typical flight and perhaps someone can suggest what options I should be selecting: - I generally fly 275 to 400 nm flights using the PMDG 737NGX - I always use the Active Sky cruise winds for my FMS entries - I always apply the descent winds from Active Sky into my FMS descent forecast OK - so as I fly, prior to TOD, like start planning my descent. I check the current weather on Active Sky for my destination, and I plan for the appropriate runway. It is not un…

Don't know if anyone else has had this little problem, but when using AS2012 I lose a large part of the sky. [/img] This happens regardless which a/c I'm flying at the time. When looking out and slightly up the sky disappears and a huge black area appears. This happens outside the a/c also. If I disable AS2012, the problem goes away.

hello everyone, today I was flying to an airfield with a overcast at 3500ft and low visibility below it (2 km i guess) and as I was passing by to then turn back to capture the ils of the active runway, I was only seeing a few clouds here and there. actually so few that I could see everything on the ground clearly, although the weather report in the ase was indeed showing an overcast and low visibility. Only when I was almost at 2000ft, the fog started to appear and the settings from ase being applied regarding the clouds and visibility. my question is this. what can be done to improve the overcast so when I fly above it I can't see the ground? why took it so lon…

Hi, I wonder why it is not possible, in such an advanced software as AS 2012, to simulate a random or wanted windshear, that would avoid to the developers of advanced aircraft like the 737 NGX, the excuse "windshear is not simulated, since FS doesn't simulate a windshear". I have just been in a real 777 simulator and there the windshear is perfectly simulated...
