Hi out there..., great product indeed. I know the latest beta 4726 is still a beta but for me it seems theres a issue that was since the release of the offical patch... the problem is that when is use the checkbox in graphic selections says " PREVENT THIS ITEM FOR BEING USED IN WX INFLUENCED" sometimes (i mean plenty of times') the texture IS USED in wx influenced function. Is this issue only to me or someone out there recognized same issue? best regards. fureball

I am currently a user of ASE and use it for both FSX and FS9. I would like to upgrade to AS2012 and need two know if the two can coexist together since I would still be using ASE for my FS9 installation. I have ASE set up on a separate laptop and networked to my sim desktop. AS2012 would be set up on the same laptop. I'm really more worried about the licensing than I am the actual operation since I would never be running both at the same time. Thanks Brad

I use ASE build 702, FS9.1, and full version of FSUIPC (a couple of versions older than the most current). I noticed very recently that when I load up a flight ASE depicts the weather correctly according to the downloaded weather and reports correctly on 122.00, but the airport ATIS always reports standard condition. By that I mean clear sky, wind calm, temp 15, dew 5, etc..... I tried turning off all suppression options and restarts / refreshes to no avail. So far the flights are near New York area and this happened after the latest ASE update (?). Any advice is appreciated.

Hello all, I've been flying a lot lately but I rarely encounter turbulence in the cruise. Is there any way of increasing the probability of encountering cruise turbulence? I encounter it in the climb/descent but as I have mentioned, very rarely in the cruise, and when I do, it's only for five minute or so. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Sam.

Hello,I have bought from ASE SimMarket.When you open the programm I get the message that says that the Licens is invalid and after stops.The key number Licens me he does not enter because the program stops working.

I just did a flight from KSLN to KVNY in the default Learjet 45. I have to say you guys nailed the weather as real as it gets. The weather says that the visibility was 2 1/2 sm and it really was. I could not see the runway at minimums at all. Ended up doing a go-around. This is the best I have ever seen and the most realistic. Wow!

Hello I love the AS2012 However i'm little lost about the installation in fact, i have build 4696 installed in this page http://www.hifitechinc.com/Downloads the next update is B4722 and the last B4726 but where is B4724 ? And can i installed directly from 4696 to the last B4726 without installed B4722 and B4724 ? Or i must installed B4722 (included in this update the B4724) and after B4726 ? thanks for information

Just a quick question - what will the procedure be in going from the latest Beta to installing the full (RC) SP2 package? Presumably there will be updates to the final RC, so will that come in the form of an additional update for the latest Beta, or will one have to uninstall the Betas and then install the full SP2? Thanks. I'm eager to try the Betas but I don't want to complicate things when the final SP is released. Glenn

I am receiving this error "FSX Application Data Folder read error ... Navigate to your FSX AppData Folder in the next screen". I scanned the User's Guide but I couldn't find anything really to help despite the error box referring the user to the documentation. Where can I find the FSX AppData folder?

Using SP2 but these issues have been there earlier than that, I don't know what's at fault, my settings, just FSX or AS. 1. Rain without clouds. The weather will perhaps show scattered clouds with some rain, but the depiction is a very few (i.e.) miles apart) clouds, some cirrus and pouring rain, I can understand how this might be occurring, but is it possible to get the engine to generate a believable amount of cloud when rain is given? it looks pretty odd, chucking it down out of an azure sky. 2. Cirrus depiction. Frequently I see Cirrus tiles doubled up but slightly offset given a double vision effect, most distracting. 3. Distant clouds depicted over near…

I have installed AS2012 SP2 Beta and when starting AS2012 I am given an AppData read error. It asks me to navigate to the AppData folder, which in FSX is "C:/Users/MyName/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX". I then get a message stateing "Valid FSX/P3D AppData Folder not found. Graphics will now close". Not sure what is wrong here, otherwise AS2012 works fine, it just wont install WX influenced graphics. Any help would be much appreciated. OS Win7 64. I just had a great flight from Yakutat to Sitka. The current weather had snow and 1.5 nm visibility and 200 foot overcast at my destination, so I went back a couple of hours and used historical weather which was much milder. Everything looked really great. Smooth Cloud Transitions did a good job, except for a couple of things. Twice I saw clouds popping while I was looking at them. Now, I'm used to seeing some cloud popping when I first look in a direction, but this was the first time I saw the clouds actually do a major change while I was watching. Hi, I have just downloaded Beta 3 and I notice something strange in the wind direction (see attached screenshot): it is 170 degrees on the ground and 346 degrees at 3000 ft? Isthat possible? I try flying at 3000 ft and indeed the wind direction is still close to 170°. I use DWC. Thanks.

Hi guys, I am having trouble with AS2012 SP2 and its support for P3D. I am running P3D only on my system, and I have used the FSX migration tool to install some add-ons that do not directly support P3D. Among these were AS2012. After installing SP2 I get the choice between fsx and p3d when starting application, but in either case I get the following error message. A critical error occured: Application failed to load - Object reference not set to an instance of an object. This is without having enabled virtual FSX, so everything is the stock P3D. Hello Damien and Chris I would like to personally thank you for the fine product you created. I have been using another product similar to yours and still do and I think it is just wonderful that you allow other products to be incorporated within the fsx weather depiction without conflict. It is a testament as to how people in the flight sim community behave .. and how every one on the planet should as well because once we all do that the world will be a better place ....Just like my flight sim is now! When I read the instructions it says " Point installer to correct location of ASE or it will not install correctly" or words to that effect. I press install and it does not give the option to browse to my installed ASE... it installs the files somewhere but not my exiting ASE programme ( V672???) Is it my advancing years or is there an installer problem? Windows 7 64 Bit Regards Nic

Today I updated AS2012 with the new SP2b build 724 and now I am getting an error in FSBuild2 that reads "ERR -Unable to open ActiveSky 'wx_station_list.txt' file". I don't know what happened but now I am not getting winds in FSBuild2 and I was before.

Can someone tell me if I purchase Active Sky 2012 now at the simMarket is the SP2 update included in that download or do I need to download separately? Don't want to screw things up. Thanks.

Hi guys. One way that I found to create a more realistic IMC condition into FSX is create some low visibility layers with the FSX default weather engine. I use the ASE and I would like to do same using it, but the ASE doesn´t create more than one visibility layer. There is one way to simulate difference visibilities with ASE?
