Hi all,In ASv6 when i inserted a flight plan and when setting 122.00 i was able to get meteo information of nearest station and destination.In ASE i can only get the nearest sation meteo information. I don't seem to be able to get the destination again.Since VOLMETs are not simulated on FSX and ATIS is useless because of it's range, this ATIS/Flightwatch option was my only way of getting a good forecast for my approach. But now on ASE i'm hopeless again.Can somebody guide me on how to solve this?Kind regards,Carlos

Hi After installing latest update i see that AS is much more heavy for my system. FPS dropped significantly. I was always using 32bit 1024 cloud textures, and everything was working smoothly even with cloud coverage more than 128km. Now after update same cloud parameters are much more heavy for my system. To maintain more less same FPS i had to go down to 512 and DXT textures. Anybody else have similar experience ? Artur

I have AS2012 networked to one FS computer. With another FS computer running on the same network, I would like to know if I can use AS 2012 weather on that other one simultaneously from the computer that has AS2012, so the weather will be the same.

Hi When I download and install SP2 for Activesky 2012 will it reset my current setting within ActiveSky 2012 or will they remain unchanged? Thanks in advance for any help. Marcus

Is there a way to disable met/rep downloads? This morning I started up AS2012 SP2 and had to wait almost 10 minutes for the met/reps to download due to failures on all 3 servers. This type of download failure has already happened twice over the past few weeks. I'm actually not interested in these reports and would prefer not to even download them. Thanks a lot. Dave

Well, I am back in the Simconnect quagmire... I have a server/client setup with SB4 on my laptop, FSX running on the server, all good. Before installing AS2012 I did all the tests and I have permissions and shares all set up and working, did the AI-planes test, made a txt-file in all the folders and so on. Static IP's on both server and client. When starting AS2012 on the client as described I get the following messages: 1. "Simconnect Client SP2 not found. You must have FSX SP1 or SP2 SimConnect Client installed in order to use FSX mode with AS2012" 2. "A valid Simconnect managed version was not found to be correctly installed. Hi I have FSX Gold downloaded from the Microsoft store. I have installed the Simconnect Client v10.0.60905.0 on my client PC using simconnect.msi that i copied across. However AS2012 says I need a valid FSX SP1 or SP2 Simconnect client.

I've been running AS2012 since release with no problems but the application now does not run on startup. I get the following error message:A critical error occurred: Application failed to load - Root element is missing.Anyone run into this? Any idea how to recover?No changes were made to my system and I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling AS2012.

Just a BIG THUMBS UP! regarding the excellent experience I am having with AS2012 SP2 running with LM P3D. I have only P3D installed on my system (well, and DCS World, but that's another story...) and AS2012 promptly identified and installed creating a "start button" to launch P3D. Hi, With AS2012, how can I get real winds and temps at FL 550 or 600 ? those FLs were typical for Concorde at the time she was flying. As the maximum FL seems to be 490, is there a way to extrapolate current wind and temp at FL490 to get them available at FL600 ? Do I need to import into AS2012 my Concorde FPL with a targeted FL=600, to get that kind of data ? Thanks

Hello. So I recently bought AS2012 and find it very good. Problem is that Automatic Download, which is set to 10 minutes doesnt seem to be working properly. It auto downloads at some randome time after 20 + minutes which is kinda bad. Sometime I can go hours widouth automatic download. As I write this post Im also running AS2012 and right now, passing 10 minutes, auto download begun just fine. Its really weird and would love to fix it. Also is it normal that every time I minimize AS2012 it returns to "Status" page. In ASE when I chose WX report then it stayed on WX report regardless of minimizing. Dont know if its supposed to be like that or is it a glitch. Th…

Sorry if this has been asked before. For some reason AS2012 reveals the following error on startup: A critical error occured: Application failed to load - Root element is missing. I had just performed a windows update. But otherwise everything was fine until yesterday. I have 2 HDD on my PC, AS2012 on both. The error appears on both. I have Windows 7 X64 Any ideas? Thanks! I find I'm having to reset, shutdown and reload AS2012 on almost every flight in order to get the correct temperatures injected in FSX. Just wondering what Im doing wrong or what setting I could change to fix this annoying issue? Im running the latest release AS2012,Build 4826. I constantly have to monitor OAT on every flight. Just now I noticed OAT at +6c at 30000. Well that's not correct. Shut down AS2012 and restart and it injects -35C! Any advice would be helpful. Using DWC. Thank You

Hi guys! I'm using AS2012 on my laptop as client and FSX on PC. Before installing SP2 everything worked great but now I have the message "FSX Disconnected" on top of the screen While start-up of AS2012 I see in the log "17:16:13 - InstallFSXDisableHazeLayerTexture Error: Der Zugriff auf den Pfad "\\DAVID-PC\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture\cirrus_overcast03.bmp" wurde verweigert". It means that AS2012 has no access on the shared folder. But I haven't changed anything and I can access the shared folder by myself without an error message. Hi everyone. Tonight I created a spreadsheet to put my basic pre-flight information into a printable sheet of paper. I have flight #, airport, departure time etc. etc. I put the surface wind for depart/arrive/alt as well. Then I got the bright idea that maybe when I type my airport - it can pull the information in via vlookup if I import the current_wx_snapshot file via macro. I almost have it working, but there are so many delimiters on the import, it's hard to keep the file straight. KRDU for example imports as KRDU::KRDU. I can put "KRDU::KRDU" as my airport and the vlookup works, but I don't like the way it looks. I can split it on import using …

Last week I did several flights after a short break from FSX. ATL to TPA, TPA to BOS, BOS to JFK and LAS to LAX... all with no problems. Then I decided to do LAX back to LAS and this is where my problem started and it took me 2 days to figure it out and thought my experience may help someone. What was happening was I setup to depart out of Gate 56 out of LAX. I did everything as I always have and was greeted to a FSX crash. I rebooted and tried again only to crash again and then again and then again. I've been having issues lately trying to get any historical dates I am trying to download. Tonight 12:42 CST I am trying to download weather from Thursday the 21st at 4PM and after it downloads and does its thing, the metars all read the 18th. I then tried download weather from the same time for the 20th and same result, metars reading the date of the 18th. In the past few weeks it seems like some days of historical weather are just blank, like nothing was ever recorded for those days and the weather just defaults to another date and time from what I downloaded. I know that you guys have been having some server issues of late, but it seems the problem has been happing…

Departing out of Fr. Meyers to Newport News (KFMY - KPHF) I noticed the nice improvements the Florida Interior department made to all the muddy rivers. They are all nice tropical beach type waterfront rivers! :lol: Only problem is they have inland water ways looking like tropical reefs going for miles inland on some rivers. This occurs all the way up the Florida coast on both sides and somewhat into the GA areas. Not until I get north of CHS did I see it stop. I went back and tried to fix it via selecting inland water blue etc. What I am I doing wrong I am new to AS and still trying to wrap my mind around the water textures etc. Any help and pointers …
