I thought that my trial expires only on monday, but it's became exspired now =( 10 minutes ago all was fine, then i've installed REX and after it ASN said that my trial period is off. Too bad for me, because i can by it only on monday =) Just saying... Sorry for my english. Best regards. Anton K.

hi there, i need some help, just installed trial version of asn yesterday and for some reason the gauges on my pmdg T7 models no longer show any details. they are not completely blank however, and fmc seems ok this has only happened since playing with asn settings, any ideas on how to restore them would be appreciated. i have already done a system restore but that did not help. thanks. regards graeme c

nice work with ASN seems really good so far.. just a couple ideas i had.. not important at all of course but maybe after all the bugs are squashed. (not that i've seen any! other than the checkerboard clouds which happened twice, but i haven't seen on the last several flights..) 1. the weather search tool is really fun, but often if i pick some bad weather i get a bunch of airports that are either too small for mid to large size planes or that don't have any appropriate navaids, basically those fields would be shut down for operations in those conditions... i don't know if ASN can extract this info from the fsx database but it would be cool to be able to specify …

I have uninstalled AS2012 from the computer I am using for ASN. I am going to install AS2012 on a different computer. I seem to remember that only the original release, SP2, and SP3 (Beta) need to be installed for a complete AS2012. Is this correct? Or do I need to install SP1 also? Thank you Michael Cubine

Team, First, allow me to congratulate you on an outstanding product. During testing, I'm finding almost all your claims to be accurate! However, I have noticed one disparity. Specifically, I still encounter rain/hail conditions during periods of clear skies (see attached pictures). Perhaps I need to alter my settings? Regardless of this condition, I still plan to procure this product; anyone reading this, I recommend you do the same...fantastic wx engine!

I have ESC 3D contrails before I purchased ASN. Now the contrails provided by ESC and ASN cause them to be half black and white. Dane Quartel

I am using a networked setup. Everything is working fine except the flight plan auto load. I have that checked in the settings but can't make ASN auto load the flight plan. What am I missing?

Hi, This is a ASN issue Flying the PMDG 737 NGX at 32,000 feet I get a "stream of white" squares for a contrail. See the attached images. In addition, I see these "white squares" behind the AI A/C on the ground (snow on the ground). Bill Clark

Dear all I am confused and I need a quick advice please, since it is a very difficult for me to go through many posts and forums, OK, I have REXE-OD, I am sick and tired from jumping whether phenomena that causes the plane to either stall or to go super rocketing @ FL400, however, I love the textures .....I am considering to get AS for sometime ...now to some questions: Which AS to get 12 or Next Will I be able to export wind aloft data for PMDG T7 FMC at both? Is there is a demo or document to describe how to use AS weather engine with REXE-OD textures in a form of a tutorial?? And do I need that or AS has it's own textures? Somehow the Username or Password I set up last year does not work. I e-mailed sales but no reply yet. I did the reset password via email .. it did not work. So maybe my username is bad. Do I have to re-register or can I get my old account data reset ?

Hey Everyone!! Ok so, im basically running these three programs: 1. Ultimate Terrain X - USA & Europe 2. Active Sky 2012 3. Active Sky Next 4. PMDG 737-800 NGX My question is this...How can I run all these 3 at once, really Ultimate Terrain X I dont believe requres anything open, but I leave the setup tools open anyways (correct me if I dont need to). Then I tried to JUST run Active Sky Next from KLAX to KSEA, I did a flight plan on simroutes.com flying a PMDG 737-800 NGX. I downloaded the FSX and PMDG flight plans and with Next I entered it into the flight plan window. But nowhere can i find the CRUISE/WIND numbers like I would in Active Sky 2012 …

I am loving the trial of ASN, and will no doubt purchase soon, but I have a small suggestion to make. In all prior Hifi products the weather station in the wx conditions page always defaulted to the nearest station, but in ASN one has to go to the favorites button and click on nearest station. It's kind of tedious to have to go to these steps, as you would expect the program to pick up on the nearest station for you. Is there any chance this can be fixed, or made a user option so that we don't have to go though these clicks? There must be a reason the change was made, can you share with us the rationale?

Dear Hifi Team, Thank you for your work in Activesky Next. The improvement over AS2012 is apparent within just 5mins of game time. Just want to report an issue I am having. My FSX freezes on a rhythmic basis: every 10 seconds the screen will freeze for 3 seconds, and the pattern repeats itself endlessly... I have no other add-on running while experiencing this issue. My Active Sky 2012 works fine except every time I start up I have to go thru the manual steps of telling the Active Sky app running on the client where the mapped drive paths to the FSX and AppData Server locations are. Is there any way I can get the Client side to remember what I entered to make it permanent? Bill Clark

Hello, It has been a year or so since I logged into the HiFi forums. Now I have ASN and I need support and I forgot my password. BUT I cannot request an email to my account because the spam filter won't accept my answer: "What does the F stand for in FS"? If it is not "Flight" than what is it? Because of this I cannot get any support on that site. Please help. Thanks

I have just installed and only gotten in one flight thus far with ASN. I have the "turbulence chop" effects in Accu-Feel (A2A) and the random turbulence in FSUIPC both set to "on" at various levels. Should they both be turned off when using the same effects in ASN? Right now I have ASN set to realistic wx with some small variations of my own. BTW, with only one flight in, I can say I do like the greatly improved low level haze and cloud redraws (or visible lack thereof). Looks to be a winner thus far.

Quick question I know that Prepar3D v2 compatibility is coming soon, But I cant seem to find any information regarding v1.4. Is the release version of AS Next compatible with Prepar3D v1.4?

My provider, AT&T, seemingly has an overzealous e-mail filter because most automated verification messages never make it to my inbox. Is there an alternative way for me to get permission to use the HiFi forums? I established my user id as MadDog over there - but can go no further without the e-mail verification. Thanks

Whenever trying to change a stations weather via weather edit, im getting an 'unhandled exception'. Ive done searches but the only thing i could find was for a similar issue but for AS2012. I have build 707. Any ideas? Thanks, Andy

Bravo with ASN! I used ASE for a long time and then switched to Opus and FSGRW and I must admit that I missed many of the functions and UI treatments of ASE. ASN UI is excellent and fast too. Weather seems to be loading instantly too. What the heck did you guys do! Awesome. Weather depiction looks great so far and, boy, did I miss historical weather! I'm back guys! Good job, excellent!!! Very happy customer!!! :smile:

Hi Damien, I have AS2012 in a networked configuration and the program has worked flawlessly. ASN is installed on the client computer with AS2012 and my question is about the need to open port 445 on the server and client even though the program seems to be operating ok without completing this step. ???? I thought it would be nice to have a thread where people could recommend some specific flights they had with active sky next. Earlier I completed a flight from cyul to kjfk. I entered the sim at 9am eastern and flew down to jfk using pwl2 star albany transition arrival time was around 10:15-10:30am (date 12/10/2013). Minor turbulence climbing out of cyul in my 737ngx. Scattered clouds, but not too bad. While flying over long island (where it was clear) and making a turn towards jfk I ran in to some clouds over queens. I was in serious clouds and could not see anything the last couple of thousand feet. The metar indicated the clouds were overcast at 500ft with moderate sn…
