Hi guys, I hope you can help with the follow problems. I was flying IFR in Australia from Canberra to Coffs Harbor -- ActiveSky succesfully injected winds at FL330 at 273/100, so a windy day in Australia. As I descended, though ActiveSky and ATIS at Coffs Harbor reported the winds at the destination airport at 350/17. Now here's the problem - throughout my entire approach (including short finals) the winds remained pegged at > 100 kts!! So my question is, why didn't the winds transition slowly throughout my descent from FL330 all the way down to sea-level. Just tried a few times, website can no longer be found? Anyone else?

I've noticed that Active isn't posting realistic climb temps, they are too high. I I generally fly in the same region that i do in real life. I compare the outside temps from my real world flights to my FSX flights and the temps are running about 10 to 12 degrees higher with active sky. I normally cruise in real world at FL400 or FL410. During initial climb out, the outside temp clicks off normally as i climb. With active sky, the temps lag alot and decrease slowly. This is killing my aircraft performance in FSX.

Just started getting this yesterday. When the METAR says few, the sky is completely overcast. Any ideas? It's a beautiful overcast! Better than I get on overcast days!

Hi Guys ! SInce I installed the Sp1 i had the following problem when i opened AS2012 i had an error about 3000 files were notloaded and the possible cause was that my system clock was set to future so to et it back to current time and restart the programm. MY clock was set correctly i opend 2 other times the proramm with same result. Then i reboot computer and the error disappeared. The problem now is this i made a flght from ESSA to VTBS and during the flight the wind information disapperead and didnt come back at all closing the programm and opening it again i had the wind in cruise again but after a while it disappear again. Why doesn't HiFiSim support P3D natively? Via Migrator, it's working great, but without it, doesn't accept the application folder. Come on... easy fix ;-)

Okay, I've read that ASE has problems with non-FS9 waypoints and will give you an "incomplete weather synthesis" (unlike AS 6.5, which always did). Even when I go into FS9 and re-save the flightplan with the FS9 flight planner, it still doesn't work. So my question is; how can I get my head/tailwind component? On trans-oceanic flights this is a must. Or should I go back to AS 6.5? Thanks, Daniel

On page 11 of the AS2012 manual is states:　Disable turbulence and thermal effects on aircraft: Check this option to disable all turbulence and thermal effects from FSX itself (may help with high-fidelity add-on aircraft autopilot s-turn issues). Is this implying that AS2012 now handles all turbulance and thermal effects so it no longer needs to be enabled in FSX or have I misread it and unticking the checkbox will disable these effects completely?

Hi, My hard disk crashed last Thursday and is unrecoverable. I'm in the process of requesting new keys, serials and order #s from my vendors. When I got AS2012 I did the upgrade from ASE, I have the key and download from Simmarket. However I don't have the same for ASE. I went to HiFi's site and filled out the registration for for support. When I got the activation e-mail from them what should have been a link wasn't. We tried copy and paste but couldn't paste the address into the address bar. By the time we finally wrote down the long URL it said something was expired. Some assistance would be appreciated. Ed Kammerman

We have identified a new potential problem which appears to be caused by some SSD devices during our license algorithms and may result in constant activation requests. We have prepared a test update which should solve this issue as confirmed by a few users who have experienced this. Recently I have been experiencing "Theme Installed Failed" when I execute "Install AS2012 Graphics" after loading my flight plan. I am still trying to figure out the ASE, Radar Contact, UT2 combo and am wondering at what point will weather be set at a airport. In other words, if I am enroute to LAX for example, at what point would weather be set there from ASE in Standard or DWC mode? 50, 25, etc... ?? Reason I ask is because when I checked RC ATIS before the point that RC asks me to contact approach it gave me 7L and reported wind @ 157. ASE ATIS reported 247 wind direction. Anyways RC sent me down to 12000 which based on my direction of flight would mean that it was still going for 7L. If RC gave me 24R it would have wanted me at 11000. I just want to say that ActiveSky Evolution Hurricane is awesome, however there are a few bugs: 1.) The Hurricane acts as a super weather station and seems to misbehave when it gets in range of weather stations that the user might select as a departure or destination, as it seems to cause a conflict and wipes the weather out or in a worse case causes ASE to stop working and crash. 2.) With hurrican systhesis there seems to be a 27,000 foot hard coded visibility threshold. What I mean to say is that if the user is within range of the hurricane and goes below 27,000 feet then the whole area is fogged up and hard to see, even though the report says that the ceiling i…

Okay I'm trying to install SP1 into AS2012, I currently have Build 4363. I'm using WIN 7 64 Pro. When I go to install it loads to my E: Drive but it dosen't change the build # on the AS2012 Home pg? Now I did have AS2012 on my SSD Drv (C:) so I deleted that copy thinking that may be the cause, but it had no change. For clarification I orginally installed AS2012 on my E:Drv, then at some point in time I moved it to my SSD Drv. Now I just have it on my E: Drv. I hope that helps. Don

Don't know what happened but could see hurricane results before now but could not observe no bad conditions, looking from outside A/C, around where Issac is reported located. I observed several intense rain pockets on program's radar however, clouds were not there when looking out of A/C. Could not detect any circulation center. Is this due to reporting stations being down?

When I first load a flight plan into AS2012 w/ SP1 (also same problem with previous patches) and it prompts me after to install a graphics snapshot, I select okay, the box closes, and nothing happens. I have to load the plan again and this time it correctly starts the graphics snapshot process.

Just for laughs.This screenshot shows KSDF Sunday morning. Metar was 200 ft overcast. ATIS was reporting no clouds below 20000 ft. All other parameters were spot on. Michael Cubine

When I start AS2012 and build a flightplan, I'm asked "Would like to install weather-influenced graphics based on your new route average weather conditions". Choices are Install AS2012 Graphics or Install Snapshot Graphics. The Users Guide recommends the first one. When I select it, it takes a full 3+ minutes to complete the theme installation. Is this normal? I'm running on some pretty serious hardware. Not a big deal, I guess, but I thought I'd ask just in case I've configured something wrong. . Thanks in advance!
