Hi Damian, still using wxRE v 1.7 that for me on FS2K works very well and I don't need any improvement.Just some questions on the new AS2:-will it be compatible with fs2002 or work just with fs2004 (at the moment I'm still a little skeptic on buying the new fs, 'cause I've many addons that won't work on it and fs2002 is nice and predictable for most of cases, just don't use ATC, and I really never use ATC because is not working well, old problem on fs...)?-since I don't have an Internet connection at home, the "snapshot" files (I think kind of a way to stille provide a way fly offline)are onli made twice aday ? no chance to get a 6-hourly snapshot ? and the snaphsot files …

I recently purchased WXRE from simmarket which allows me to download a number of times I think. I didn't seem to receive any kind of activation key. Will this cause me any issues with future releases etc or is this how things should be.ThanksGeoff

Using version 1.91 with FSUIPC 3.10 and FS9. In FS9 under Options/Settings/Weather, what should we select for "rate at which weather changes"? I am not talking about the "dynamic" setting within FS9 that we should select as none. This is a different setting? Also, should "update Metar on new station" always be checked or just when we approach the destination airport? Thanks

Sorry to be a pain I successfully followed the instructions to use 1.91 with FS2004 and got a registered copy of FSUIPC.On the earlier versions I was able to reduce the winds speed to 01knots by using a hot key which made it easier for landings in high winds with small aircraft.Checking the registered version I can not see anywhere that I can select this option. One final note when using FS2002 I made changes as shown in the manuel to FSUIPC do I make the same changes with the registered version 3.1FUIPC or leave it at the default setting.Tks. for any assistance.Kenny G.

Greetings.. Please could someone be kind enough to explain the effect of forcing the destination weather in Active Sky 1.91, when running FS 2002 pro? When I force the destination weather, I find that the weather conditions at the destination station are EXACTLY the same as the departure station. Is this the way the force works or am I doing something wrong somewhere.?

Hello all,I finally got Active Weather to work. However, I am having some difficulties.#1. All "flashing" lights are encased in a black rectangle. This includes Aircraft strobes, Nav lights, and all flashing lights and beacons on the ground.#2. In my text message bar, I get text that is again encased in it's own black rectangle. Does not happen all the time, however, several times it can be expected during flight.#3. I also get cloud flickering. Sometimes the clouds are in the shape of a HUGE square or rectangle.I'm running:Active Sky 1.91FSUIPC 2.975FS2K2AMD XP 1.8GEForce 4500+ Meg RamIn a hunch, I turned some of the sliders down. Also disabled cloud turbu…

Hi,I've put the FSUIPC in the modules folder, I've installed ActiveSky 2002 version 1.5. I've started up FS2002. I created a flight, cleared all weather, and started ActiveSky.I immediately get an error message, that also appears in the FSUIPC log file: Program not accredited for use with this unregistered FSUIPCAfterwards, the only station ActiveSky finds is DGAA, and it has no weather data.Does this mean that I need to register (purchase) FSUIPC? It's just isn't clear from the ActiveSky site or readme. Thanks,Adi

Just this silly question for the day... will current users of AS WXre v1.9 get the upgrade to AS2 free or will we be expected to fork out more cash? Thanks - Dave

I posted this in the MSFS forum:Anyone else getting severe wind shifts using fsmeteo 6.3? even using fsuipc's parameters to dampen the wind shifts to 1 degree every 30 seconds and disabling upper wind gusts in the fsmeteo options does not affect these wind gusts. I assume they are due to the way fsmeteo handles the weather by setting each station and then inputting it into fs2004 thereby when flying from one metar station to the next the wind shifts violently. Any cure for this?Do you think version 2.0 will be able to fix this? Many users are reporting that there speed drops from say .80 mach to .65 or lower as you go from one area to the next. It is a major problem and h…

I've just being trying out 1.91 (the only version I have tried) and did a few shortish flights.I noticed that the destination weather doesn't update until I've landed and shutdown!? The pressure remains the departure pressure until I've put my wheels on the floor, then it suddenly changes.I've tried different pressure settings with time in the FSUIPC and I've tried force to destination setting in ActiveSky but it's not working. Please helpJoe

I hate to ask this again but I read the posts concerning this issue and I guess I still don't understand. If FS9 is located on my main computer on D:FS2004 and AS1.91 is located on my secondary computer at C:ActiveWX linked to the main via registered copy of WideFS client/server, what do I enter in the blanks shown below under the Options button:wx Export Path __________________________FS2004 Path __________________________I think I read I place a check in the "Use FS2004 Weather Writes" option?I get an error message saying something must be wrong with my AS ini. Thanks,Larry Jones

I've been trying all kinds of things to get AS 1.91 to work with FS2002.It works without any problems with FS2004 but not with FS2002.I have the unregistered version of FSUIPC 3.08 installed on FS2002&FS204.It's weird because it looks like AS is connected to FS2002 ( I see the METAR scroll across the screen) but it never updates the weather. What am I doing wrong?

Hi all,Great news, the private server system is now complete and is being prepared for official activation on the net. This new private server system uses various sources on the internet to compile and publish weather data for use by ActiveSky2. Weather data is now provided in binary snapshot files via this server and is SIGNIFICANTLY more efficient and stable than the old public access system. These binary snapshot files are also automatically archived twice per day and will provide historical weather snapshot downloads (another new feature of AS2).To add to this, the old RAOBS WINDS system has been thrown out!!! The RAOBS wind system, while providing nice world-wide …

At first i thought it was the high or mid level clouds , but its not because i chose a different set, but i still get the same overcast cloud layer.

Hi all,Quick status report for AS2 development: We are temporarily on development hold while I am forced to take care of some personal responsibilities over the next few weeks, including starting a new job contract and moving (:().... Full-time development will resume by mid-October and I hope to finish things up and begin the beta shortly after.Right now we're looking at a late November release, but this can change, so please don't hold me to it! It will be released when it is ready :) and I'm sure everyone will be very, very pleased with the results! Those who have applied for the beta team, thank you!
